Just had a nightmare experience with AAA where I've been a member with premier RV Plus for 33 years - and never needed them. Blew an idler pulley bearing at midnight 44 miles west of Van Horn. AAA left us stranded roadside for 6 hours. Finally I'd had enough. Rapid was the second listing. They answered immediately, said they took AAA but had not been contacted by them. They were there within an hour and had my truck on a roll back and my camper hooked up to the same rig AND us at a shop in another hour. The idler pulley wasn't available even at NAPA. Their guy took it off HIS truck and got us rolling. I can not say enough about Rapid and their suggested mechanic. This is what America is about and I couldn't be prouder of fellow citizens. I'm recommending them to AAA, and will also send info to Good Sam. read more

If I could give this more stars, I would! Here is our story: We were cruising down I-10 yesterday afternoon when I front left tire blew on our Motorcoach. When I say blew, I mean, it was nearly all gone. It was scary enough that it happened and was our first RV blow out, but couple that with being in the middle of nowhere in the west TX desert. Yikes! First, I called our roadside assistance, which was almost useless as they would only assist if we had a tire, which we did not. Boo! Meanwhile, husband is calling around to see if there are any mobile tire services and found these amazing people. (Insert choir of angels) It took them about and hour and a half to get to us, which was fine by me. I mean, I had snacks, and iPad and a potty. The young man they dispatched showed up, he went right to work. And WORK he did! He tried to put the tire on without removing the wheel and it refused to cooperate. He had that wheel off so darn fast and got the tire on and back onto the RV so fast! He was polite, professional and obviously a hard worker. Needless to say, we paid, rewarded him with a soda and went on our way! You're amazing. We would recommended you all day, every day!! read more

After reading the previous stellar review and having someone from the garage guide us to their location, I was very optimistic. By the way, their address is still incorrectly listed, even on YELP. The other online site was completely wrong, but at least this one was a little closer. Hence, why someone had to come and guide us to their location. The guy was friendly enough and appeared to know what he was doing. It soon became quite clear that he didn't AND that he needs to invest in a well functioning cell phone. A lot of time was wasted by having him drive back and forth from the auto parts store because he couldn't receive texts or images he needed of the truck in order to obtain the correct part. Either way, he should have thought about that prior to leaving. We were trying to use what they called the "bathroom". About 6 hours later and a million phone calls nothing had been firmly resolved. A wishy-washy confirmation of "ordering" the part was told to us but with no assurance of the time of arrival. Maybe in the morning, maybe in the afternoon, but it felt more like "who knows if we can get it"! Now I know why..... The following morning we received a phone call from a female employee of Rapid Road Service asking about the situation. We quickly discovered that she is the only one that can order any parts for the garage! OMG....why in the world did the guys from the previous night not say anything? WHY DO THEY ADVERTISE 24 HOUR SERVICE? Some honesty would have been GREATLY appreciated. We could have spoken to her and have known MUCH earlier about the wait time.....AND we could have gotten a hotel room so much earlier to get out of the heat and have time to walk to the only restaurant within walking distance BEFORE it closed. Hot, tired, and hungry! Honesty goes a LONG way. Let's see what happens next... SEVERAL HOURS LATER. .................... We were informed that the part needed was being sent over but there was no ETA. The urgency to get the truck fixed was clear because of the delivery deadline. It was past lunch time so we walked to the only restaurant within walking distance. After eating we stayed to enjoy the cool temperature (AC). Woke up to a flat tire on my RV. I couldn't see a nail or screw in the tire and assumed I would not make my upcoming appointment. I called Rapid Road service and they had a service man on scene within 15 minutes. He identified the problem and had me on the road again in less than 30 minutes and I couldn't believe how reasonable the cost was. He didn't try to sell me a new tire or add anything extra. My 4 year old daughter and I were stuck 8.3 miles outside of van horn with a massive blowout. We had 90 to our name until midland. A gentleman pulled up behind me who is a van horn local and called this company. I did not call them. Their gentlemen came out to where I was and did not do anything but tell me there was no one in town who could help me. They charged me $68 for a call out fee. I wasn't the one who called and I can prove that with call records. They also talked to the gentleman who pulled up and not me except to tell me there was nothing they could do. I am sorry about the last reviewers experience. The only thing I would say is that if someone is willing to spend six hours sorting out a problem, that says something. He helped my wife and me today. Unlike most, he was very cheerful and professional and charged less. He works rapidly and efficiently. He did everything a good businessman and professional is supposed to do. Yesterday half way between Van Horn and Ft Stockton we had a power steering line split thus dumping all our hydraulic fluid and rendering our power steering out of commission. After calling around we found 'Reno' with Rapid Road Service in Van Horn. He was the greatest. Extremely responsive (went and picked up some fluid and was there in 60 min), polite, diligent, and determined to get us back on the road. On top of everything it was 30 mph winds and rain. He crawled under our RV, found the leak, repaired with a coupler, and looked like he had just taken a hydraulic fluid shower with the wind whipping so bad. We were able to make it to our next destination 4 hrs away w/o further issue. I highly recommend Reno (Rapid Road Service) if you ever have a truck/RV problem in this area - he was the best! read more

I turned my RV over on the highway. Rapid Road Service was there very quickly, they had the equipment and the experience to pull the RV back upright and tow it and my truck to town. They had a secure storage facility to hold it in while the insurance company made their arrangements. All the people in this company were very supportive and kind throughout the ordeal.
