Absolutely one of the best Emergency Department responses we have had. Woke up at 12:30 A.M. (the…read moreday before the 2024 Christmas Holiday!) with the toothache to end all toothaches. Horrible pain; if you are reading this then you or someone you care about is experiencing this type of pain in or on their body. So much pain you just want it to end! We were brought back to a treatment room within 5 minutes of arriving at the ER of Rappahannock General. The Nurses came right away to take a history. Luckily, we were patients of Dr Griswold (excellent GP, BTW!) and many of my previous records were in the Bon Secours system, which helps the treating Physician have more back ground. Dr. Gale was right on it. She came in, LISTENED to my issue and formulated a plan. She was super confident and courageous in her approach. She applied at least 3 different modalities (Oral pain medicine x 2 and syringes of numbing agents) and was able to relieve my pain, that had been going on for 3 days (!), pretty quickly. I can only speak to our experience at Rappahannock GH, and it was great. Dr Gale and Taylor (and the other Staff Members) LISTENED to my wife and I and took my pain seriously! That is a huge step in care. Even our CT Tech was very friendly and professional. Thank you all at Rappahannock General Hospital. Now that Omega Proteins is headquartered in Reedville, there is an input of (sorry to be so forthcoming) $$$ in the area. And, the Northern Neck is home to some very respectable Retired Folks who must support our healthcare system. Because, when you are in terrible bodily trouble, we need people like Dr. Gale and RGH and Bon Secours to help us. You never know when, either.

Very disrespectful and rude nurses. Brung my girlfriend and newborn baby here and they didn't give…read morea damn in the world.
