After successfully using the internet to find about a dozen photographers (no hits, all misses) in the Anchorage area, I knew I needed more direction. Finding Lauren Roberts (the brains, talent, and amazingness behind Beauty Board Media) was the answer to my questions. Even while on a work-trip outside of Alaska, Lauren fielded my call and took some time to sit in a quiet place and chat with me about what exactly I was looking to do. I wanted my proposal to my girlfriend to be caught on camera so we could share that special moment with our friends and family all over the world. No big deal. Lauren and I spoke for days before she even started talking about the cost of this cross-country production I was planning. A couple from Texas celebrating the 4th of July in Anchorage with a proposal under the fireworks at a small college summer league baseball game. She was almost as excited about this as I was! The words "swoon" and "romantic" were thrown around excessively. Lauren promises, Lauren delivers. She brought along a second shooter to catch the moment in photos while she masterfully shot our video. At the time of writing this review the video has not yet been completed; we asked Lauren to take extra time and provided her recently with some other home video "gems" to work with. Like I said, her promise of a keepsake production cannot be ignored. It's amazing what Beauty Board Media has done for past clients (check out the website) and what she's done for Priscilla and me. The photos are outrageous. We can't stop looking at them. A few are being printed and framed once we decide which of them we like more than the others. It's a difficult task when each picture is a masterpiece. Our friends and family love the pictures. Our only regret is that Lauren is in Alaska and we're in Texas! We can't thank her enough. Her talent and passion captured our engagement; something no amount of money could recreate or duplicate. And now we have a way to revisit it forever. If you have any questions just message me. My personal motivation is to better myself both mentally and physically so I can be a better person and father. Red Dragon pushes me to accomplish this, and Sensei TJ is an effective motivator. I have been a teacher with ASD for over 20 years, so I have been around all types of people young and old. Sensei TJ is as "real" as they come. He says what is on his mind and he will not lie to or coddle his students. He absolutely loves martial arts training and physical fitness. He is a wealth of knowledge about first aid, all types of weapons (including firearms), traditional Chinese forms, boxing, wrestling, and practical applications for self-defense. Sensei loves to tell stories about his past and the lessons he learned growing up in Alaska. He wants to make sure that the young people in his school make good decisions and are accountable for their actions. Red Dragon is not a "black belt factory." It is not a dojo that is motivated by money. Instead, the focus is on training and consistency. Sensei TJ always tells us that life is about choices, and you either choose to dedicate your time and train hard or choose not to. I am a busy person just like everyone else, but I make time to come 2 to 3 times a week. The dojo itself is beautiful! Sensei has spent a lot of time and effort to make both the inside dojo and the outside dojo very functional and visually stunning! We all take pride in helping to maintain it. The inside has mats, tons of equipment, a weight room and dummies. The outside has obstacle courses, climbing wall, ropes, zip line, weight equipment, weapons, dummies, and the ever-popular throwing star target. You cannot find another martial arts dojo like it anywhere else in Anchorage. It is truly one-of-a-kind. My family has been going for about 2 years now and we don't ever plan on quitting. It really is a special place, and I hope it continues to thrive!

Darl and his team do an amazing job! We were planning a large corporate event and Darl came in and…read morepretty much did it all for us. He ran point on everything from the florist to the catering. They designed and mailed all of our invitations. Darl spent hours reading our logo requirements so that everything was perfect. The day of the event the team worked seamlessly to set up around our office without interrupting our morning meetings. Darl then spent the evening greeting our guests and directing them to the food and beverages. Once the event was over, his team cleaned everything and put all the furniture back where it belonged. If it weren't for all the flower arrangements that our florist is letting us keep, you would never know we even had an event the night before!

People are friendly and welcoming to visitors esp since local community is fairly small. Beginners welcome and they toss in a fun dance class at the beginning. Data for dancers: Ratio of songs are 4 bachata: 4 salsa: 2 zouk/kizomba/merengue, with a bias towards whatever dance was taught that night. Danced mainly as a lead and didn't run out of dances. :) For salsa, more on1 than on2 dancers (music leans Romantica). I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in Anchorage on a Friday night! :)
