I had such an amazing experience getting my nails done! She was incredibly kind, patient, and paid…read moreso much attention to detail. My nails came out perfect--exactly what I wanted, if not better. You can truly tell she loves what she does. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, and I left feeling confident and happy. I will definitely be coming back and recommending her to everyone!

I am crushed. I never go to salons ( I can ruin my hair at home for free) but it's my birthday next…read moreweek and I wanted to do something special and look good. Caitlyn was very nice and lovely to talk to but she destroyed my hair. I have included the before, reference and after pictures. I could tell she knew she had messed up and just kept cutting. After every round of thinning and snipping and thinning and snipping, she kept saying, "now that looks a little better" or "I'm starting to like that more." The bottom layer of my hair is thinned so much it is practically gone, taking away so many options for a redemption haircut that could look anything similar to the reference. She obliterated my bangs, they are so small and the same length as the top layer of hair she cut. Somehow even though I spent the whole appointment telling her "please don't make my hair round", "I hate round hair." "My hair does not look good rounded" it somehow got rounder and rounder with every cut. When she was done she said it "looks like that because it's not styled" and proceeded to hot iron it and try to give it style. It was still awful and she knew that. She tried to put gel in it and it did not help at all. Then she said the issue was that she "blow dried it with a round brush" and that we should wash it again and give it a more natural dry so it "looks more like the picture" the after photos I have attached are with that natural dry. At the very end as I was leaving she told me to wait and that she "missed a part" and went in for at least 5 more snips at the back before I said I had to go. I left crying and went to another salon to see what could be done to salvage it and they audibly gasped when they saw how uneven the hair was and recommended I reach out to the owner because this was "not okay." When I emailed poppy with these pictures asking for a refund, they said the best they could do was Caitlyn offer me a "complementary second cut to fix up some areas I'm unhappy with" and claimed my hair couldn't possibly look like the reference and it would if it was styled. She tried to style it and it only made it worse. She will not be touching my hair again. I have had bobs like that before, I KNOW my hair is not unable to look like that and that this reference picture was very obtainable for my hair type and length. 65$ more poor and I look like a coconut. My birthday is in 5 days and I cannot look in the mirror. UPDATE: When I spoke with the owner of poppy, Rach, she was incredibly accommodating and understanding. She got me in ASAP for an appointment with her and fixed my hair up. I loved that she stopped every step of the way to talk about what I thought. I was also given a conditioning treatment in addition to her fixing my hair up. She worked hard to make everything right. Rach was fantastic and I am MUCH more into my hair now!

A deeply painful and hurtful experience -- please care about yourself and read before booking…read more I've waited a few months to write this review because the experience was genuinely traumatic, both physically and emotionally. And to be honest, I hesitated to write this review, especially after seeing how the salon responded to other negative reviews. I was already traumatized by how rude I was treated in this salon and did not want to go through that again. But I'm writing this in the hope that no one else has to go through what I did.I went in for a hair color service on January 18, 2025, that involved bleaching, and what followed was the worst experiences I've ever had at a salon. The process took over six hours, and during that time I repeatedly told the stylist, Michaela, that my scalp was burning and was on pain. She kept saying it was normal and didn't take it seriously. When I got home, I noticed my roots were still wet. My husband looked at my scalp and was shocked -- it was red, inflamed, and covered in hives, many of which had likely popped up during the stylist's rough blow-drying and brushing at the end of the process. The next day, my forehead visibly swelled -- like an egg had formed under the skin. I rushed to quick care, where they diagnosed severe chemical burns on my scalp. I was put on a week of antibiotics and warned to monitor for signs of infection or fever ( Dr's after visit notes are shared in photos). It was truly frightening. I returned to the salon a few days later -- not to argue or cause a scene -- just to share what had happened and ask for a partial refund out of fairness. I wasn't demanding a full refund because I understood she had used product and time. But instead of any compassion or concern, I was met with yelling, legal threat, and complete hostility, even though I remained calm, friendly, and respectful the entire time. I felt cornered and completely dismissed, as though my pain and health didn't matter. The level of rudeness and aggression I was met with was so overwhelming that it left me emotionally exhausted. I did eventually receive a partial refund, but the way I was treated made it feel like I had to fight for something I never should have had to. To make things worse, the color I ended up with wasn't what I asked for -- it was brassy, yellowish-red, and my hair was left dry and damaged. Based on what Michaela explained before the service, the roots were supposed to be 6A (dark ash blonde) and the ends 9A (light ash blonde), but the result was far from that, as you can see in the photo I've shared. I'm sharing this not out of anger, but in the hope that no one else has to experience what I did. If you ever experience burning or pain during a hair service, speak up and don't let it be dismissed. If you choose a salon, make sure they prioritize your safety and well-being. No one should leave a salon experience physically injured, emotionally broken, and then be blamed for speaking up. Please take care of yourselves, and choose salons that treat your safety, concerns, and dignity with the respect they deserve.

[It has been about a year or so, and I wasn't going to write a review, but too many people around…read moreme continue to have bad experiences at Canopy in Moscow, so I finally figured I would share mine.] I walked into the shop to book an appointment for hair trim and color. I wanted to show the stylist my hair, as well as pictures of what I wanted to do. I wanted to go from light brown/dirty blonde to a white-blonde with darker roots. We talked about the process, made a plan, and booked an appointment. Leaving the hair salon after my "consultation" I was feeling good about my upcoming appointment. Fast-forward to the day of the appointment. I walked in, sat down, and the stylist started working. Most of the time my back was to the mirror and everything was going fine until I was turned around to face the mirror.....my hair was nothing like we had discussed - definitely NOT white-blonde - and my roots looked like they had not been touched. Instead, my hair was a mess of brassy orange and yellow, and it was SOOOO dry and damaged! My heart sank. I tried explaining that this was not what we had discussed in the consultation and showed a picture again. The stylist scoffed and told me that it would take many appointments over many months to reach that color which surprised me, because this had not come up during any of our talks, and my hair was originally light brown/dirty blonde, not black. Despite my efforts to have my hair fixed, the stylist insisted I had received what I planned/booked for, and I was charged over $600 for the appointment. I went home feeling defeated, ugly and upset. The next two days I refused to leave the house without a hat, so my husband started reaching out to find stylists who could actually handle a white-blonde hair job. Long story short, WE FOUND ONE! (She's amazing!) My first appointment with my new stylist to fix what was done at Canopy was quite emotional. She took photos of my hair so I could see the issues, and when she lifted hair up in the back there were large sections that hadn't even been dyed, and my roots were VERY uneven! My hair was various shades of yellow, orange, and brown. I showed her the same picture I had previously shown at Canopy, and she assured me it wasn't a problem. Three hours later my hair was a beautiful WHITE-blonde and incredibly soft!! (Please note - it did NOT take many appointments over many months to have the color I wanted....) My main advice? Don't be like me. Do your research before visiting Canopy! I cannot stress this enough. It ended up costing me an ADDITIONAL $800 to fix the damage and color disaster caused at Canopy. I will never go back, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone.
