I called Heartfelt to see if they had any paper heart cut outs or die cuts, and the woman I spoke with say I could purchase paper and cut out the hearts with their die cuts machine myself! When I got there and she realized how many I needed, she offered to have her team cut them out for me see i needed 100. She was already doing it for another customer and did it for me too! They were ready within an hour. The store itself is super cute. Lots of arts and crafts and scrapbooking supplies, and a bunch of tables to the right when you walk in. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that I ordered additional fabric via their website (it was on preorder), and the two kits I purchased were supposed to ship by the end of September. It was well into the first week of October and I hadn't received any updates on my pre-order for the Halloween and Christmas kits. Despite my attempts to reach out, their phone didn't actually ring, which left me feeling disappointed with their customer service for online orders. I've texted and finally got a response asking for my order number but no further updates after that. A week or so later, my two kits arrived at my doorstep. I just wish there was a bit more communication... Even with that being said, I would still return for in-person shopping and placed another online order that shipped promptly. The classes are taught by Denise, who's pretty much a sewing celebrity in my eyes. :) This year's BOM choices are batik and Christmas themed. Denise is so patient in her teaching the entire roomful of quilters, ranging from beginner to advanced. She explains things well and I appreciate that she demonstrates the block assembly steps with a closeup camera on the projector screen. When I go in, most of the ladies and Logan are kind and personable. Sure, sometimes they're busy, and can't really talk, but they're helpful when they have the opportunity to engage. On a personal note, I think some of these negative reviews are unfair and kinda prejudiced.. Perhaps their own sour attitudes have been projected onto these ladies that spend their work days cutting lots of fabric and answering calls. They're not catty or mean, as portrayed in certain reviews. No offense, but it's not their fault that you don't know how to thread your inherited sewing machine. Look on YouTube or consult your manual. It's not their fault if you don't monitor your own machine's warranty. Read your paperwork. It shouldn't hurt your feelings if an employee tells you Nuttall's doesn't sell yarn.

On the one hand, if you want a local company to handle things for you and you want one of the…read morebiggest little companies around in the sign and banner and display marketing biz, you've got the right folks. But the bigness of the company almost works against them. One of the reasons I often choose local companies is because of the kind of service and attention I get. When you order with them, there's a real push to do it online. That's great if you know what you need and what you're doing, but for someone who doesn't have this stuff made every couple of months it could be difficult and you may find the service at a smaller shop to be more up your alley. In a world where online printing companies are now super, super, UBER cheap it's often going to be more affordable to just send it off to Texas or California, even with shipping. I mean, if I'm submitting it all online anyway it becomes a pure price game. The good news is that they are local and real people do work there, so you can work a little closer with them if you need to. They've been around a long time and can handle just about any size project. And it's not just banners--they do tablecloths, car wraps, stand up banners, window banners (decals? wraps?) and a whole host of other promotional or products. Give the website a whirl if you're curious, but realize that if you're going to get a banner or project done just online, you can do a little research and save some money. Hopefully they'll be willing to walk you through it if you go in or pick up the phone.

After manning a table at a couple of events I was hooked and sought to improve the professionalism of our presence. The first thing I needed was signage with a stand. A Google search led me to Sugar House which had the largest selection of banner fabrics and stands, I designed what at that time was an awesome piece, they did a beautiful job of printing it, it arrived in plenty of time for my next event, and the durable banner and stand continue to serve me well. Their after-sale service was incredible - I received several emails asking if everything was to my satisfaction and requesting a photo of my banner in action. This photo is still on their website! They're not the cheapest, but you can't beat their quality, selection and service. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them for full-service banner work.
