I was on the hunt for a specific Ruby Star fabric that was sold out around Salt Lake, Murray and Sandy. I did a web search & found The Quilters Lodge in Draper had it in stock. As soon as I walked in, I knew I was going to be there for a while gawking at everything. The Quilters Lodge is quilters heaven. This is a really unique place -- everyone in there was so pleasant, kind and extremely helpful. Several times I heard employees greeting customers by their first names. I thought that was awesome. :) The Quilters Lodge has fabrics in every color way, all the latest designs, blenders, stripes, polka dots, batiks, Tula Pink fabrics other shops can't get in stock, Ruby Star Society, Tilda, Alison Glass, tons of Moda, and so many more top quality brands I hadn't heard of before. They have such a huge selection, and it's all organized beautifully. All along the lodge railing, and pretty much at every turn, the walls proudly displayed amazing quilts. I appreciate how they showcase the skills of local quilters and seamstresses. I'm in awe -- they're snuggly works of art! Couldn't leave without snapping some photos. The ladies mentioned they're always getting new shipments in, so I hope to be going back sooner than later. At the end of my receipt, they gave me a unique coupon code for 10% off my next purchase if I come back in the next few days. (Twist my arm!) Very cute store (it actually looks like a log cabin in the woods). They had lots of stunning blenders and fit a huge amount of fabric into a very small space! The sale/clearance section is pretty small but I like the rest of the store and was impressed with all the quilts they had on display (mostly for sale). read more

We come to this shop once per year and have spent $900 per trip over the last five years and today we got there and they were closed for their special event. We even knew they were having a special event because we had gotten all the emails about it and there was no indication they would be closed. We come from St. Louis every year. We love this shop but we are really disappointed and unsure if we will return next year. Website even said they were open till six. As business owners ourselves we can't understand this. read more

The most beautiful fabric store I've ever seen in my life. The huge selection is as overwhelming as a child in a candy store. Is heaven on earth. Just stunning fabrics, an array of the most gorgeous roses prints you can find. Be ready to spend quite some time at this shop. The pictures you see posted do no justice as this shop is absolutely a dream. My husband and I as we arrived thought it was someone's luxurious home. It was a delight and so was the lovely young lady that helped me who's name is Norah and so was the other young lady who I didn't get her name. They we're both so helpful and kind young girls. A super organized store which makes your browsing easier. Prices are very reasonable and compatible for the quality of fabric. Quilter's Lodge has a huge inventory of fabric, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful sales staff.

I am so disappointed! I spent over $300 at this quilt shop last weekend. Discovered that an item I had purchased was defective....an $80 rotary cutter. It was skipping. I tried to take it back and they would not accept the return as they said it had been opened (duh!! How else would I have know it was defective?!?!) They replaced the blade and sent me on my way. Later, after a phone call to complain, I found out that they knew this was a defective item that they sold me anyway. They wouldn't accept my return because they are planning on not reordering the item. I am furious!! I will be attending a quilting retreat this next week with 50 women and will be sharing my experience so the ladies will not have to experience what I experienced. There are several other great quilt shops nearby that I am sure will appreciate my business. read more

The Quilters Lodge should be renamed - Quilters Heaven. Everything about this beautiful facility can be rated five stars. My daughter, I and a good friend just returned from a five night stay, and have already booked a seven night reservation for next year. Our room was beautifully appointed, and our quilting area was spacious and furnished with large tables, ironing board, cutting mats and rulers, irons, design board, dining table, sofa, and a mini kitchen with fridge and microwave oven. We had access to a beautiful, large kitchen and deck overlooking a lush garden. The quilt shop inventory is immense and varied. We all three did it justice!! The staff was warm and gracious at every turn. We had to postpone our original trip because of health issues, and they were wonderful working with us to make our visit happen. I am so very thankful to them that they did! read more

They have a fantastic selection of new, quality fabric that I couldn't find anywhere else. They also have a beautiful pond area behind the store with tables set up to enjoy the view. Since the pandemic, I started sewing again and making masks for friends & family members. I wanted to use the best cotton fabrics and they were hard to come by. This is a world-class quilt shop (on level with the world famous Stitchin' Post in Sisters, OR) in a gorgeous timber lodge which also accomodates quilt retreats! They carry a good stock of Kaffe Fassett and other modern fabrics as well as interesting tone-on-tones and other standard categories. I didn't see a single fabric that JoAnn's carries--also an indicator of a quality shop. Nothing like Nuttall's, which is mostly junk. And not a small, traditional grandma shop. It is a treat to see the dozens of gorgeous quilts on display in such a stunning setting. Very inspiring! Worth a trip from wherever you live. read more

This is a premium quilt shop to visit ... the selection is incredible ... notions, fabric, thread, etc., they have it all. The parking is a little tricky - as someone with knee problems, I didn't enjoy having to walk all the way around the building to get in after finding parking in the rear lot. The rear doors were locked. Bathroom facilities were clean and spacious. The staff didn't really acknowledge us when we came in, but one clerk talked to us as she was ringing up my sale. read more

If you're thinking of booking a retreat BEWARE. Quilter's Lodge is a beautiful store and facility. So nice that my quilt group of retirees, 500 miles away, planned our annual retreat there and we booked 15 months in advance. Because of Covid and the economy - price of gas, food - our group fell apart and I had to cancel the retreat. I gave Quilter's Lodge more than two months notice and asked them to work with me to find a win-win situation about returning our $600 deposit. They flat out refused. They were unwilling to bend their "no refund" policy in any way. They agreed to hold the money for a future retreat but that's unrealistic given our distance and family commitments. Super disappointed that the owner would not show any flexibility given our circumstances. In this economy it pays to have happy customers. We would never do business here again, either in person or online, based on their inflexibility and unwillingness to work with us. Loss all around for all involved. No matter how nice their place is there are many other shops and retreat centers and they lost a good group. read more

I was visiting in September from California for the Quilts in the Garden show at Ashton Gardens and was told that I couldn't miss this quilt shop. Always happy to help the economy wherever I visit (especially at quilt stores) I visited there and was a very happy camper. It is one of the most beautiful (dare I say stunning?) quilt shops I have ever visited - from the fireplace area to the a-frame windows that look out to the mountains it is a gorgeous building. But let me not forget to say how awesome the selection and organization of fabrics and quilting supplies was. I spent more than an hour there and left with a dizzying array of quilting cottons. As I checked out, I found out about the rooms for rent and retreats that are offered - I hope someday to return and do one in such a peaceful and beautiful setting. P.S. First of all this is a beautiful store! I was very excited about stopping there while traveling through the state. So many beautiful fabrics and quilts on display. But why isn't any one friendly there? At least 5 employees walking around and I got one hello....no one asked if they could help me, no one asked if I was looking for anything special...nothing! And I was the only person in the store. It seems to be a trend in quilt shops today. No customer service and no one cares if you are there. All it would have taken was the least amount of interest in me being there and I would have bought the place out. But no, I walked out with nothing. I will continue to shop on line. read more

Can I put a 6 please. I was in this shop for the first time when it was across the street. They told me about the new building which is more like a lodge. When you walk in it is amazing! As far as I could tell they order their fabric and get every bolt in the line. It's spectacular and stays very current on what's new and fun! I wish I lived closer, but I guess a 3 hour drive is worth it! read more

I took a quilt top to The Quilters Lodge to be quilted. The staff were so helpful with helping me pick out a back and binding fabric. I left my quilt top there knowing that it would come back to me perfectly quilted and bound...and it did, I am so happy with the work done! I have bought lots of fabric at The Quilters Lodge and always enjoy my time spent there. I do believe that I have found my favorite place to have my quilts quilted and bound. I think this store is amazing for ideas and great displays so I don't usually mind traveling far to shop there and I usually spend a bunch on those trips. Since COVID-19 my experience has been disappointing. I understand the request to wear masks but I was yelled at repeatedly upon entering the store before I even got the chance to get mine on. It was the worst "screaming Karen" experience I've ever had. For this reason I won't be spending my money here as often. There is a nice way to make a request from customers and there is the extremely rude screaming way. Customers help you keep the store open and I would think that treating each guest in a respectful way would help employees keep their job. My money will be spent in a quilt shop that is respectful to its customers. This recent experience was a big fail for respectful treatment. If you're an older senior with a disability, and you don't move real fast, you might want to steer clear. I suggest Quilts Etc. in Murray or The Sewing Basket in American Fork. read more
