Our dogs found a rattlesnake in our backyard at 6:50 in the evening on a Sunday. My husband frantically searched the web for a snake removal service. We called Tucson Snake Removal & Rattlesnake Control and someone arrived at our home within 45 minutes even though their office is in Marana and we live on the far Eastside of Tucson. In November 2020, Rattlesnake Solutions did a great job rattlesnake-proofing the chain link fence around our back yard, including two gates. There is no more than a 1/4 inch opening anywhere on the fence or gates, which is too small for even a baby rattlesnake to fit through. They used 48 inch high mesh, with about 6 inches of it buried under the ground so snakes can't enter via a rodent hole. We plan to do some work in the Spring that will involve temporarily removing one section of fence, and they promised to return to remove the mesh and then reinstall it afterwards. When they completed their work they inspected for snakes that may have become trapped in the yard, and they are coming back in the Spring to inspect again for any snakes that may have been in holes in the winter and weren't visible then. They are very knowledgeable about rattlesnakes, as well as thorough, responsive and timely, and their quote was less than another company's. We have had numerous rattlesnakes in the yard in the past, but we hope that is behind us now! read more
