2 traps were placed by the attic entry NOT by the HVAC where the mice droppings were discovered. The contract says 4 to 6 traps. You need a young, slim guy to place the traps. The HVAC is an awkward place, but even I have been there and I'm 82, so there is no excuse. The contract says 2 or 3 outside traps. I only got one. The guy was supposed to see me on Fri AM 12/20 but didn't show or call. I'm probably wrong but this doesn't look like an adequate job and certainly not worth $425. After writing the previous review, Budget Pest Control contacted me and explained that they didn't do an automatic inspection if one signs up for the extended warranty, which we have been doing for the last several years. I asked how we would know if we needed a termite treatment if we didn't know whether we had termites??? The representative explained that there was a request to call and make an appointment on the bill. I looked up the bill, and yes, there was a request in about 8 point type at the bottom of the receipt. We are 80 years old so small type is barely readable. Since we have already paid for next near, we will have our inspection and then consider whether this screwy system is working for us. I had been using this company for years, they said five years, wrong closer to 10, I moved service for old house to new house. For most part I never thought much about them. They came once and month a sprayed outside my house. I started notice bugs in house? Since I work all over country, I am not home for about 6 months of year. It's funny it took me a several months to notice they were not coming anymore. I finally called them and asked what was going on. They said the canceled me for non payment. Aprently my debt card number change when bank sent me a new card. I had know idea it had changed. They never bothered to call, send leter, email me or anything. Absolutley terrible. They give me a time-line of between 8 and 3. They are supposed to show up and do their exterior warranty inspection. I try calling them at 1030 and get no answer. So I try again at 1115 and no answer. Just voicemail saying how busy their representatives are and to leave a message and they'll call me right back. So I leave a message. Then I just try to keep calling and eventually someone will have enough time to answer the phone. They don't. I've called 15 to 20 times. Who has all day to sit and wait for a 10 minute inspection. They obviously don't care about their customers and as soon as this warranty is over, I'm going to find another company. This has got to be the worst customer service I've ever seen. read more

I reached out to this company because I noticed the pavers in my backyard began sinking. Upon pulling out the pavers, I see a large hole. The technician came out looked in the hole and concluded that I did not have a pest problem, but still offered to treat it as such, so I declined based on his assessment. Later I had the person who layed the pavers and just by him using his measuring tape he discovers a 5 foot tunnel coming from under the house and recommended treating it before laying more pavers down and he is not even a pest control professional. Of course I was aware of the price before a hand, but didn't know that I am spending that kind of money for just 30 minutes ( not 1 hour as they stated in their e mail ) !. There is companies out there doing it a lot less than their price, my mistake to hire them , I should of get more bid's before hiring them. Lesson learned well! In November termites were found during a home inspection to sell the house and I was told our contract didn't cover termites, only 'pests'. AND that our contract had expired anyway. In January they bill me $85 for a service they claim was done October 11th, that their technician was there 28 minutes. No-one knocked on the door OR left a notice under the front mat that they'd been there, like they'd done in April. But that's what their records show - laughable. Be wary of budget pest control. They quoted me $150 for treatment for the first month. They said this would include up to one treatment per week for that month depending on severity. Upon the technicians arrival (who was very professional) he put me on the phone with their office. The lady at the office told me it was $350 and stayed it was never $150. I NEVER would have waisted the technicians time and agreed to have them service at $350. Especially when every other business quoted for under $200. I told her thank you and goodbye. I started using this company 6 months ago and have had nothing but issues. The biggest problem is that you can't get ahold of them. I've tried calling them so many times and they never answer the phone and rarely call back when a message is left. I called one month to inquire about their weed services. All I did is inquire, and told them I was calling around to some other places to compare prices. When I received my regular invoice that month, they had charged me $100 extra for weed spray. I called to get this taken off and after days of not getting ahold of them I finally spoke to someone who told me they would have to talk to someone about it and get back to me. Almost a week went by, no call back and no answer to any of my calls or messages until I emailed them through their website and it was refunded. But they didn't seem to care much. I've watched them do the spray in our backyard and my toddlers toys, little chairs, and even their baby pool was completely sprayed with bug spray. They didn't even try to go around it. I also had issues with black widows in the back yard non stop even with monthly service. Then the latest issue is that we just realized that since November we haven't been billed or received service. It's just been cancelled out of nowhere apparently? So confused but of course can't get ahold of them. read more

My mom used Budget Pest Control several years back when her house was infested with termites. They took care of it and have followed up with it every year since it was treated. I don't have to worry about calling them or chasing them around to get an inspection done. They call every year and go by my moms house to make sure it is still free and clear. We will be using them again once it is due for another treatment. We purchased a large home and found that it was completely infested with termites despite having a warranty with a large company in town. Brian came over and saved us thousands. Not only was his estimate the most logical and reasonable, he encouraged us to ask our difficult to deal with termite company to fix the problem. My husband and I bought a manufactured home about two months ago. The sellers used this company to do an inspection. Silly us for not looking over the contract a little better but how does a company doing an inspection for a manufacturer home miss a huge part of inspecting, under the house. They report stated that they is no access the under the house and this is completely wrong because my husband and I've been down there to deal with a problem that should have been at least been in the report for us to figure out or maybe we would have made a different decision when buying. Now we are spending hundreds of dollars to fix this problem thanks to this company. Like I said it's silly of us to not look things over but wrong of the inspector to not do his/her job correctly. My advice is LOOK over EVERYTHING and when using this company look out for these things. read more

We had termite treated by Budget Pest Control with 5 years warranty. They stated they would inspect our premise once a year and never did follow up with their promise. And now they sent an extended/ 2 years warranty for $80 which I don't believe them anymore. Their initial treatment was OK. Nonetheless, we live in a gated community. Thus No one can get in without calling us first and we have never seen anyone came by for any inspection as they said they would. read more

Do not use these guys to spray for weeds cuz someone does not know the difference between weeds and flowers! This happened last month too. and the receptionist was rude when I called to complain. It's hard enough to get plants to grow in our desert, then to have someone come along and spray them with poison. Ultimately we chose Budget Pest Control because 1. they were the most reasonable price and 2. they were the only ones who did not tell us that other companies would not do as good a job, among other comments we received. That kind of sales talk really turns us off to a company. He came and answered all our questions, did the full treatment, was very thorough, and cleaned up after. Was scheduled today for service and was given a window of 12 to 2. Called at 2:14 and found out the man went home sick. I had someone sitting at my house, so that I can have the inside sprayed. Veronica the lady that answered the phone said he was supposed to call his rounds to let us know he wasn't coming. Never received a phone call and the soonest someone can stop by is Friday. I understand that people get sick, but a phone call would have been nice. After posting this, the OWNER called upset at the fact that I "BASHED" his company with a 3 star. When I initially spoke to Veronica, I asked her if anyone else was available and she said the soonest they could get to me was Friday. When the owner called he said " if you wanted service sooner, you should have said something ". First of all, it's their mistake they should have offered that. Second of all, accusing me of not asking when I asked Veronica is unacceptable. The owner made it seem like I was being insensitive at the fact that his guy Brian was sick and " having to use the bathroom" in between his calls. I had no idea, what was wrong with Brian and I never once said that. As the owner, it would have been nice to take time out to call the customers on Brian's route letting us know he wasn't going to be able to make it. In my case I made sure that someone was home, so the inside of my house can be sprayed. Our time is valuable just as well as theirs. Brain has always been nice and friendly as well as the ladies that have answered the phones. However the OWNER was rude, disrespectful, sarcastic, argumentative and demeaning. I've been a customer for over a year and have recommend this company to my friends. NOW I would never refer the company and give them my hard earned money. UNBELIEVABLE !!! Please read his response to my initial post, again he's accusing me of not asking for sooner service. I DID ! PLUS if it was an option, it should have been offered to me instead of Friday ! BEWARE!!! Do not use this company! We are in the middle of selling our house and the buyer hired this company to do the termite inspection. Their inspection claimed we had termites in six different locations and that they could pump hundreds of gallons of chemicals under our house for $875. I called a second company, Fletchers. He did a full inspection twice and said he could not find any signs of any termites. I called Budget and told them the second company could not find any termites. I told them I wanted proof. I told them they could come to my house and show me or they can give me pictures. Budget was very nasty about it, told me that's my real estate agents job and accused me of having a friend at Fletcher. Budget sent me 3 pictures. The fist one was a split in the wood, which I had several people examine. The second and third pictures were the same piece of wood that were taken at different angles. These pictures did not look like they were taken in my crawl space, which made it seem even more shady. I had a third company, Terminix come out and they said the same thing, I don't have any termites. Budget is making bogus reports to make money and it's unethical. Most of these guys receive a commission for selling termite treatments. BUYER BEWARE!!! Always get at least two inspections! read more

During the inspection of my home after I had put an offer on it, termites had been found underneath the home. The former owner of my home hired Budget Pest Control to treat the termites before closing. Big mistake. The treatment came with a 5 year warranty with Budget Pest Control. On January 15, 2019 when the technician Bob Kirchner showed up to do the annual inspection, he only inspected the back of my house and in less than 5 minutes he completed the "termite inspection." He did not inspect the front of my house nor underneath the house where the termites had been found previously. When he said he was leaving I asked him why he didn't go under the house nor at the front of the house; he responded by telling me he had seen everything he needed to see. This inferred that he could find any termites by spending 5 minutes walking only around the back of my home I told him that previously termites had been seen under the house. He then stated that he will only inspect under the house if he was asked beforehand and that the only time anyone had asked him to go underneath a house was when the space under the house was as high as his height. How interesting that he stated he was only requested to go underneath a home when it was as high as his height. In my home, the inspector had to go on his hand and knees to inspect under my home while Budget Pest Control did the same thing when they got paid to go under my home to treat the termites. This experience with the technician now makes me wonder whether the company ever properly got rid of my termites. Now I worry the termites are eating away at my home. When I questioned the technicians statement about not ever going underneath a home to inspect for termites, he then stated he couldn't go under my house because he was in the truck that had different pesticide and it didn't have what he needed to treat termites nor did he have the clothing and equipment to go under my house. So it appears he never had planned on doing any treatments nor inspecting. He assured me I had no termites (based on his less than 5 minute inspection) and then he left. It appears the company made their money off the treatment but do not have the intention of actually honoring the 5 year warranty which I have in writing. I want a proper termite inspection. I want an inspection around the entire surroundings of the home and underneath the home and I want to be present so I can see the technician working. read more
