I would not recommend Adolfo to anyone who is looking to sell their home. My husband and I contracted him initially to represent us as both a listing and buying agent, but the selling experience was so stressful and confusing that I was the one who had to encourage my husband to explore other agents for the buying portion. Although my husband was a primary contact in this process, fom the beginning, I felt that when and if I was brought into the conversation, my opinion and input in the process was often overlooked and dismissed, which was crushing because it felt one sided-and adolfo did nothing spectacular to smooth out the process or help BOTH of us understand what was going on.I believe it takes a skilled communicator and professional agent to know how to balance input from their clients and still advocate for their needs, especially in such an emotionally charged process that is selling and buying a home. But Adolfo was so focused on just making a sale that he convinced us (aka my husband) that the first offer was the best offer, and later on in the escrow process, I was ready to pull the plug due to what I saw as unfair buyers demands, but Adolfo was too focused on making sure the deal went through and graciously offered a portion of his already higher than average commission to avoid that from happening. In sum, I could go on and on about other things I didn't appreciate (like the poor communication (but only towards me, he was always responsive to my husband); or the sloppy attention to details, or the fact that my husband was the one who was looking up homes and setting up a schedule to view homes during our own house hunt-where adolfo was nowhere to be seen. At best, he was neutrally detached; at worst, his laid back attitude made him seem unreliable and untrustworthy. (My husband was the one taking the lead on how to aggressively put in offers for homes!) I'm glad he sold our home but he left a lot to be desired.
