I called Raven electric last week and had been requesting a ball park figure on electrical work to be done at our home. The receptionist stated they could not give me an official estimate since their estimators were 3 weeks out but would send me an estimate based on the information I provided right away. I called 3 times requesting this information prior to my appointment 29 Jan 2025 and didn't appear that the estimate would make it prior to my appointment. I stopped checking my email the day before since didn't think an estimate would be sent at this point. After talking to my wife the day of our appointment I called Raven Electric and she mentioned the estimate had been sent. Our time block was scheduled between 10:00 - 1:00 and asked if the technician would be able to finish during this time frame. The receptionist stated she could not guarantee the work could be finished. I let her know we were going to the airport later this afternoon and would probably need to reschedule. I understand time blocks but was just trying to see if she knew when the technician would arrive to complete the work prior to us leaving the house. Raven did send me an email yesterday that had a basic quote but at this point I stopped checking my email since I'd given up on getting the quote prior to our appointment. I did apologize for the late cancelation and asked to reschedule. She abruptly stated canceling just before your time slot is unacceptable and we'd need to find someone else to do business with. I've never encountered a business before that treats customers this way and throughout my interactions with the receptionist even from the beginning had been very terse at best. Afterwards I located other reviews that mentioned scheduling issues, technicians not showing up on time and appointments being lost. That tells me they expect the customer to be understanding with them but any issues on the client side is unacceptable. I definitely believe with this additional knowledge about their customer service issues I've dodged potential problems working with them in the future. read more

As a store manager for a nationwide chain of stores, I would absolutely recommend Raven Electric for any job big or small. They always send polite technicians and the techs get the job right the first time. As far as pricing goes, I'm not sure how their rate compares to others in the area. Raven's the best. I have been working with the team for years. They have resolved an intermittent power issue with a dishwasher, upgraded garage/shop lighting, identified and addressed a safety issue with a breaker, installed a generator, including all the permits, trenching, annual maintenance, all while dealing with a 40+ years old electrical system. The after hours on-call availability is good too. One call I made involved great troubleshooting over the phone so I could keep working on a project, with a recommendation for a specific electrical testing device to have on hand if the same thing happened in the future, and no charge for the time on the phone. A circuit breaker tripped unexpectedly in my house and I was unable to reset it. After multiple attempts, I gave up and phoned Raven, expecting to schedule an appointment a day or more out. Stacie, the scheduler, however, told me that she had an electrician who had finished his other jobs early and she would send him right over. Kilty was great. He was sure that the problem was a short somewhere but the location was a bit of a head-scratcher. He kept at it, though, and eventually figured it out and fixed it without a lot of fuss. He was knowledgeable and friendly and I got my power back. All in less than 2 and 1/2 hours from my original phone call. Thanks, Raven! read more

I guess I look at all these reviews and Where everyone had such great experiences and I didn't have that experience at all. I made an appointment, Was supposed to get a quote and nothing. I called the head office, called and emailed the guy that came to the house . Quoted me $850 for 10ft of 6 gauge wire and conduit. Already have both breakers installed. It shouldn't cost more than $50 in materials and take more than an hour to accomplish. Also, when the guy was out to look at my place he was there for 30 minutes, 15 of which was him talking about all his jobs he's doing. Charged me $110. read more

I asked for a quote in July. Didn't hear a peep for 3 weeks. I then started calling and kept being told they were working on it. It's now November and I have moved on in life. If you need your project done with a year, you may want to try someone else. I can't comment on the quality of the work cause they never did anything. read more

Needed to have a garage door outlet put in. Raven Electric was able to accommodate me quickly. Due to low temps, they wanted to provide a comfortable work plac e for their employees and scheduled inside jobs. The electrician was prompt and very professional. I can't say enough about the terrific service we got from Raven. Jason came to our house at night in freezing weather to investigate our unstable electrical power. We were very concerned, especially about the burning smell in our living room. He stayed for hours to make sure repairs were completed and got Chugach involved in resolving the issue. Our heating system also suffered some damage and he further assisted us with a referral for that repair. He was professional and friendly the whole time. read more

We couldn't be happier with Raven Electric! We did have to wait a bit for an appointment-but I was very pleased someone answered the phone when I first called, and scheduled an appointment. I had tried another company and left a message, no one ever called me back. Our situation wasn't drastic and it was no problem to wait. I'm so glad we did! Jessie came out and provided exemplary service. Troubleshooted our problem, very professional. At one point he was apologetic he might be leaving some fingerprints, and when I said it was no worry he said "I like to take pride in my work.", which I thought was wonderful. My wife and I were impressed with their service. We called in the morning and had someone come by in the afternoon. They said someone would be out between 12-3 and they came around 12:15; awesome! Both the individual who answered the phone and the person who came out were nice and professional. Our issue was simple, but Raven fixed it quickly and offered suggestions on how to prevent the issue going forward. The bill was $95 which I feel is super cheap given the level of service we received. I will definitely be using them in the future if needed. read more

We've used Raven Electric twice now, and they have their stuff together. Each time we called, someone promptly and professionally answered- not like someone was using their cellphone to answer business calls while on the road in a wind tunnel (which I seem to get a lot of in this town). Our electrician came over within the week and was always on time. They also have portable credit charging, so you can use a credit card/debit instead of the old-fashioned way with a check. We've had no complaints with the service and final product, and they genuinely care about only doing the work that they think you need done. A+ business. read more

Just called to schedule an estimate; mentioned to the receptionist that I thought I had a bad GFCI; she passed me off to some lady-told her I needed to schedule an estimate (someone to come to my condo and look at the issue I was having with a GFCI) she stated that "they don't do that" (this is a company of electricians, right?) and they couldn't do this and that; then she proceeded to quote me the rates per hour for troubleshooting??? So I asked her to clarify as it seemed like they couldn't help me. She became very irritated and condescending, she said, "I've already explained this 3 times..." If she had asked, I would have explained in great detail what I had already learned from my pre-purchase home inspection, but nope. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and she just went silent. She didn't even asked and assumed she knew everything about the scenario. I'm convinced the electricians that work for Raven Electric would have been quick and helpful to give me an accurate idea of a way to proceed; but this office tyrant lady immediately lost my business for good. read more

I've only had to call them once before but I was pleasantly surprised to have had it be a positive experience. Stephanie came over to help replace some old outlets in addition to check our fuse box and I couldn't have asked for a more personable, informative meeting. Raven provided excellent service on short notice. Randy, the electrician, showed up on time, was polite and very helpful. We needed a new dryer receptacle installed. Randy made quick work of it and even hooked up the dryer and tested it for us. Professional service with a smile, he even took his shoes off! We wanted to install a whole house back up generator, Moore Plumbing (love those guys) recommended Raven for install, we contacted Raven Electric the day after Moore came (they are extending my gas line for LNG to generator) & left a voicemail for Preston, no response. Week two, called and left a voicemail for Preston again. After two weeks, we came to the assumption that Preston's voicemail must be broken, therefore my spouse spoke to their receptionist who offered voicemail, but my spouse requested she write down his number & hand to him as his voicemail has not worked. Apparently, the message was written in invisible ink (I am of course assuming) as there was still no contact. Week 3, I call and ask them for a recommendation for an electric company who does residential generator installs, indignantly I was informed that they themselves did them, however, I informed them of our multiple messages to Preston, who therefore must be the disinterested party. Magically, Preston was placed on the phone. We ended the call with the understanding that he would email me a specification sheet to fill out so he could give me the dimensions of the generator for the Homeowner's Association, from which I require approval before proceeding. I gave him my easier to write down email address as I felt his IQ could not handle my lengthy gmail email address. He stated he would call us on a set date after we returned from a week in the lower 48 for a wedding. He never sent me the specification sheet, so I called Raven Electric to obtain his email address, which they kindly gave me. I emailed him requesting the spec sheet & as pretty much expected, he ignored it. Thus, we returned from our travels & on the expected date of follow up phone call, he (as expected) did not call us. Unfortunately, I think we have missed the opportunity to install a generator prior to the winter starting. I will NEVER do business with Raven again after this experience. My prior experience with them was never this horrible. They just lost a client, but something tells me, they could care less. read more
