I stopped checking my email the day before since didn't think an estimate would be sent at this point. After talking to my wife the day of our appointment I called Raven Electric and she mentioned the estimate had been sent. Our time block was scheduled between 10:00 - 1:00 and asked if the technician would be able to finish during this time frame. The receptionist stated she could not guarantee the work could be finished. I let her know we were going to the airport later this afternoon and would probably need to reschedule. I understand time blocks but was just trying to see if she knew when the technician would arrive to complete the work prior to us leaving the house. Raven did send me an email yesterday that had a basic quote but at this point I stopped checking my email since I'd given up on getting the quote prior to our appointment. I did apologize for the late cancelation and asked to reschedule. She abruptly stated canceling just before your time slot is unacceptable and we'd need to find someone else to do business with. I've never encountered a business before that treats customers this way and throughout my interactions with the receptionist even from the beginning had been very terse at best. Afterwards I located other reviews that mentioned scheduling issues, technicians not showing up on time and appointments being lost. That tells me they expect the customer to be understanding with them but any issues on the client side is unacceptable. I definitely believe with this additional knowledge about their customer service issues I've dodged potential problems working with them in the future.

They showed up on time (actually early, but they called first). They quickly figured how best to remove the clog (their experience was obvious). The clog was removed pretty fast, and very thoroughly considering how bad it was (ran the the snake 115', then ran it again the full 115' to make sure everything was good). When they were done they did a great job of cleaning up their work area (they kept it pretty clean as they were doing the job also). The bill for the service was simple and very reasonable (plus no show-up to look, or bs travel time fees). I won't hesitate to use them again, and I expect if you try them you will get the same great service I did!
