Great visit! We had a couples massage and opted for the sauna beforehand. The place has soft lighting and a cabinlike feeling, very relaxing. My massage was perfect, my boyfriend paid the upcharge for deeper massage but still said he would have liked more pressure. Only disappointment was our appointment ran 30 minutes late, if we had other plans afterward that could have been quite inconvenient. Longer, nicer robes would have improved my experience. read more

We were greeted with choices of tea or lemon water, nice ambiance and smiles from the friendly staff. I loved the fact that it's appointment only so we were the only ones in there, not to mention the massage was the best either one of us has ever experienced. Great little spa tucked in South West Anchorage. Luckily for me, in close by. After driving by a few times and a friend recommending it, I decided to give it a try. Twice now I have had the Pilot's Widow and it's totally worth it. A lot of massage and customized care. I love the feet massage portion; your feet are wrapped in some sort of wonderful oil condition, wrapped in plastic cover and then in towels and covered with a heated blanket while the rest of your massage is completed. Then the feet are unwrapped and massaged, it's the perfect pampered addition to this package. You literally feel like your entire body is as snuggled and warm as possible without being uncomfortable. The hot stones add a lot to this already incredible massage. So relaxing! Sheila is wonderful and so is the other massage therapist (can't remember her name), both very warm and welcoming in addition to their incredible massage therapy skills. You will definitely need to try this place, you will not regret it! I keep dropping the hint my husband will book me a massage on a whim! read more

I booked spa services for three people. Two of them were celebrating birthdays. This is the best spa experience I have ever had. The whole visit was so remarkable I can't wait to go back-- with my husband. Here's a list of the services we had: bikini wax, scrub with add-on massage and pilot's widow package. The spa is small, the space means maximum attention to client comfort. From the moment my party walked in the door we knew we were entering a place of peace and relaxation. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law couldn't make it because my father-in-law wasn't feeling well. The change in plans wasn't scoffed at and we weren't made to feel guilty because we were a party of 2 instead of 3. To begin our spa morning we changed into fluffy robes, popped open a BYOB of Prosecco and split up between a massive massage chair and the dry sauna. We got all loosened up then started our booked services. For me it was a wax- my first! I was terrified. Sheila made it probably the most enjoyable bikini wax to ever be performed. It was over in no time. From there I had a scrub, followed by a 30 minute massage. The combination was wonderful. The scrub helped awake my dry, winter skin and the cocoa-shea lotion used in the massage was soothing and smelled heavenly. My sister-in-law had the pilot's widow massage package. It incorporated hot stones and left her in a relaxed state for hours. Once our services were complete we were free to finish our wine, drink some water and sit around to take in the state of comfort we were massaged into. The next appointments arrived before we were done. It was nice to see they received the same greeting we did with offers to relax before their appointments began. Once they were whisked away we were invited to continue relaxing. It was nice to just enjoy it all instead of being checked out with a fake smile and a good-bye-- which I have encountered at other spas in Anchorage. I took my husband to Raven's Nest for a couple's massage. They accepted our appointment time less than 24hours in advance. This quaint little spa isn't as glitzy and glamorous as most mainstream ones, but the quality of service isn't lacking one bit. Neither of us have had many massages in our lives, but we both felt completely relaxed and tension-free after our 60min sessions. Everything from the sauna to the complimentary chocolates were top-notch. We enjoyed the intimate setting as we were the only clients there at the time.
