She truly cares about her pups and how they're being taken care of. I was able to make a special request to have my puppy's tail left intact. I did have to pay upfront as opposed to just the deposit with rest paid prior to pick up - which I completely understand, I had no issues with this. I hopped on the waitlist on the website for Truffle and Whiskey's litter and ended up choosing my blue merle boy Ollie. Johanna kept me in the loop through the whole process with periodic photos and videos updates on her website. With Johanna's help, found a reliable flight nanny. Ollie made a trip with a flight nanny from Oregon to Florida, and he did so well. Johanna had packed a goody bag with a little blanket with mom's scent, leash, harness and some healthy treats along with all the necessary paperwork. The vet here commended how organized my breeder was with all the initial shots and paperwork. All the adult dogs' medical history is also available on her website for review (I looked through them prior to getting on the waitlist) The second I met my puppy, I fell in love. He is the most incredible dog! He loves everyone, very friendly and oh so loving and affectionate. I've gotten so many compliments on his temperament and his looks. Besides being incredibly adorable, he is such a fast learner - training him as been very rewarding (of course there will be challenges with puppy training but overall it has been great). He came to me at 8 weeks 3 days, and mostly potty trained already in terms of him letting me know when he needed to go. He is very confident and good natured little boy. Thankful for the show versus herding bloodlines, my Ollie is very even keeled for an Aussie. Even after a few months of having my pup, I had some questions regarding diet etc and received very well thought out advice from Johanna. Combined with my research to look into what she had suggested, it's evident how much she values taking really good care of the dogs with great quality food and supplements. I just am so grateful for him and very grateful for Johanna for all the care and effort she puts into her program. 10/10 recommend High Desert Aussies. I myself plan on getting another pup down the road from her.

Bought a dog from this woman and the dog had a lot of issues, obsessively bit…read moreits own tail to the point of hurting itself and snapped at us, not sure what was wrong with it. We returned it after only 12 days and she kept almost all of our money, She has no return policy as we unfortunately found out. Make sure if you do go here that you read the contract carefully and ask about the return policy if the dog does not work out, that was my mistake and it cost me 1400 dollars. We tried to contact her to get the rest but she just ignored us, even after she promised to give us another portion of our money. I do not recommend buying from this business.

These puppies are so sweet and calm, and well behaved. We can't say enough about High Lakes Frenchies. They really take good care of their doggies, and they are loved on, played with and socialized.
