We both love cats but agree that it is too much fur for us to deal with on a regular basis and it wouldn't be fair to kitty since we travel quite a bit. We were looking for something fun to do indoors to escape the afternoon heat in Bend and found ourselves here. The cat room is set up very nicely - plenty of toys, cat towers, cat walks, and space for the cats to be. There were about 10-ish cats of varying age when we showed up. Coming in the afternoon meant most of them were pretty sleepy, but we had a rambunctious bonded pair of kitties who eagerly needed some play attention. It seems you can make online appts to visit, but we walked in and it was fine. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves. $20 for 50 min of cat time (they give you a timer) and a free bottled beverage from their fridge. They have a restroom and place to wash your hands. It is shoes off inside the cat room so bring socks. And yes - you will be covered in fur so bring a lint roller for post-cat time if you don't want to track all the fur back into your car/home.

I did have to pay upfront as opposed to just the deposit with rest paid prior to pick up - which I completely understand, I had no issues with this. I hopped on the waitlist on the website for Truffle and Whiskey's litter and ended up choosing my blue merle boy Ollie. Johanna kept me in the loop through the whole process with periodic photos and videos updates on her website. With Johanna's help, found a reliable flight nanny. Ollie made a trip with a flight nanny from Oregon to Florida, and he did so well. Johanna had packed a goody bag with a little blanket with mom's scent, leash, harness and some healthy treats along with all the necessary paperwork. The vet here commended how organized my breeder was with all the initial shots and paperwork. All the adult dogs' medical history is also available on her website for review (I looked through them prior to getting on the waitlist) The second I met my puppy, I fell in love. He is the most incredible dog! He loves everyone, very friendly and oh so loving and affectionate. I've gotten so many compliments on his temperament and his looks. Besides being incredibly adorable, he is such a fast learner - training him as been very rewarding (of course there will be challenges with puppy training but overall it has been great). He came to me at 8 weeks 3 days, and mostly potty trained already in terms of him letting me know when he needed to go. He is very confident and good natured little boy. Thankful for the show versus herding bloodlines, my Ollie is very even keeled for an Aussie. Even after a few months of having my pup, I had some questions regarding diet etc and received very well thought out advice from Johanna. Combined with my research to look into what she had suggested, it's evident how much she values taking really good care of the dogs with great quality food and supplements. I just am so grateful for him and very grateful for Johanna for all the care and effort she puts into her program. 10/10 recommend High Desert Aussies. I myself plan on getting another pup down the road from her.

It is a silicone material that is somewhat flexible yet useful. Funny enough the company started out with it's foldable dog bowls and grew from there! On my first direct order I got the 22oz bomber with an XL travel lid. The reusable straw was included free in the order. I also just had to purchase one of the dog bowls, as they fold up so much nicer than my collapsible bowl I use now. I could not be more impressed. The cup is perfect for around the house and all my outdoor adventures whether poolside, camping, or a driveway happy hour. It is dishwasher safe, keeps my drinks incredibly cold or hot, and doesn't sweat. The dog bowl is huge, yet folds down to a very tiny size that fits in my pack or even my dog's backpack. Although this is primarily the shipping center for the entire world, they also have a small retail location in front where you can shop to your heart's delight. Don't be fooled by Google maps. The mapping system will take you directly to their loading dock at the back of the building. Do yourself a favor. Walk around to the front of the building and enter through the front door. There's a beautiful courtyard out front that is shared with the brewery next door as well as some other businesses. These glasses and bowls have great insulating properties, keeping cold cold and hot hot. They also don't sweat. Best of all they are unbreakable. Perfect for packing on a trip, taking camping, or just drinking on the back porch. Then when your dog knocks over your drink while trying to get a snort, the glass doesn't break and leave a pile of glass to pick up..... Being that this is the world headquarters you can have custom designs added to your Silipint..... but that option is primarily available for larger commercial orders.
