I was out of town when I had a flat tire on my Dually which sits on tractor trailer 22.5's w/ 1 ton adaptors. Of course this all occurred at 1630 on a Friday and most shops were closing up. Not to mention finding a 245 35 22 isn't that easy to start with. Once I found Rent a Wheel in Spartanburg, they agrees to wait till I limped the 1 mile into there shop. Once there they were faced dealing with a real tractor trailer rim that didn't fit any of the normal equipment. At this point it would have been VERY easy to send me away and turn off the lights, but they went the extra mile to at one point hand dismount and mount my tire. This was WAY above the call of duty and they saved me being stuck with ne easy means for options. Any shop that would go that far to help someone who they could have abandon or rape them $$ wise is a place I would want to do business. Thanks so much guys for your help!! read more

This place will scam you. First they give you a 90 day same as cash price, but every time you make a big payment toward your same as cash balance the final price is incorrect. They make you get the VIP insurance which on the contract says is optional but the manager says it's not so I who knows. I've called Corp several times, left a message, still no response. We had a blowout on 85 South on Saturday February 10, 2018 and my sister called Rent a Wheel to see if they had the tire we needed and they did. They were closing at 6 and we could not get there until then. Bob and his employee stayed open after hours to make sure we got the tire and were able to travel on to Greenville to see our niece who was born premature. They delivered excellent customer service and made us feel welcome even though it was after hours. I think that Rent-A-Wheel is great store that inform you of your newly purchased wheels. Believe it or not there are benefits such as if you get a nail in your tire, they will replace that tire free of charge or if you damage your rim and it's not your fault, they will replace it.
