I have been to Discount Tire recently to replace sensors and to refill air in my tires. All of these guys (Devin, Ethan, and others) have exuded kindness and professionalism beyond the call of duty. I have bought 11 sets of tires from these people for mysel and my kids over the years. I have noticed that the quality of service has changed for the worse. Recently, I took my truck in for a slow leak in a tire I bought at that location. First time the guy Just adds 10 lb of air and says, come back if it does it again. It does and I go back. He takes off puts it in a tank. Can't find the leak. It does it again. I go back. They say we'll look at it and if we can't fix it, we'll get you a new tire but its going to be at least two hour. I couldn't wait today. I've probably waited three hours so far waiting to get this tire fixed. I hate to be that guy but, that's ALL they do. Expectations far exceeded. I called to see if they could fit me in for 4 tires on my 2013 Sienna (no appointment, new customer). I was told there were a few ahead of me and there would be about a 30min wait. I got there a couple minutes later and a young guy named Ty'Berius was already out in the parking lot and greeted me on my way in, and got all my information quickly and professionally. I sat in the waiting room just after 9am, given an estimated completion time of 10:09 and was out the door at 9:32! While they may not be the cheapest in town, the price IS reasonable and worth every penny when you take into consideration the speed and quality of the service. I don't give glowing reviews unless warranted, but they definitely earned it. I had an appointment to get a new tire installed and it took 3.5 hours. One employee sold me windshield wipers, then failed to install them and pretended he had. They worked on my car outside the bay and I went home and my brand new $503 tire deflated. I returned to Discount Tire and they said they did not build the stem correctly. This time, they left the tire rim emblem off my car and said it had been run over, so they ordered one. Got back home and the tire deflated again. Before I arrived, the GM said it was likely a cracked rim. When I had them check the tire this time, they said I had a cracked rim and they could not fix it, and just inflated my tire and told me bye. I was very disappointed in how I was treated here. Very unorganized, and they truly lack good customer service and performance management. The service here has really gone downhill, and I was bringing all 4 of my cars here previously. read more

I have always had a pretty good experience but last month I was there and the assistant manager was waiting on someone else before I arrived but would not greet me or make eye contact. I guess I was supposed to sit there for 30 min. and wait for him to show some courtesy. Not impressed. Most employees looked miserable that day. I had to scold him for not acknowledging my presence....too bad I had to do this to a grown man in his 20s but it is what it is. They did a fabulous job of providing the service we needed to have our tire repaired and reinstalled. Myles was fabulous in arranging our service. I gladly traveled twenty two miles today to get the tires on my wife's car balanced and rotated! I did have an appointment and that did speed up the process quite a bit! The service person who took care of me was genuinely polite and helpful! I was informed that it would take about one hour to complete the requested job ! Remarkably; I only had to wait thirty minutes! They even brought the car around for me to save a long walk! I like feeling like a valued customer! And I was treated like one here! Ok to start I had ordered all my tires and a wheel I needed online and made an appointment for 10 days later so they would have time to get it all in. They called me the day before my appointment to let me know they are ordering my parts 9 days after I ordered them online I mean wtf. So i had to reschedule for a week later. Was allowed to come in as a walk-in. Had to wait hours, which I expected. Staff was very friendly. I did have to get on a couple of knuckle heads at my trunk, but other than that everything was great. Will definitely use again but will make sure to have a reservation. read more

After 2 hours waiting for it to be patched , I was told that they put a spare tire instead stating that I did not want to get a new tire. I asked to replace the spare tire after and put a new one on. The call center was not great. However the actual people in the building were awesome. I was needing a new tire and I already had a lot of miles on all of my tires so I was trying to just replace all of them. the call center when I called only ordered one tire. I needed the one tire that day and they also ordered my other three tires and were able to get me scheduled for the rest to be replaced very quickly! I went today to check on a tire for my mom because it had a nail in it. Robin quickly pulled it out with some pliers and verified that the nail did not actually puncture the tire. Even though he could have easily charged us for a nail removal and tire patch, he did not. I immensely appreciated the kindness he showed in taking his time to help us without an appointment or any expectation of anything in return. Buyer Beware! Went to get a new tire that was advertised at $49. When we arrived, the rep wanted to charge us $182 for same tire. We left and returned to show online pricing. Rep then fixed quote and we were able to get tired as advertised. This situation was unfortunate and obviously discriminatory. What a disgusting way to practice business. Last three 4-set tires I purchased was with this particular store at the Dorman Ctr. Two weeks ago , I went in for tire rotation / balance for my car . I did not make an appointment , I was told there's a 1hr45min wait to 2 hours . I figured I was on vacation and had lunch at a sushi place within walking distance. After 1.5 hours I came back and within 15 minutes , my car was done . Right on time with the approximate hour I was told . The service at this place is always 5-stars . Last Saturday , I had an appointment for two tires I ordered online for my son's car . I was told the previous day that the tires I ordered for $67/tire Falkens did not come but they had two same brands but more expensive models ,$100/tire . I was told to come in that Sat at my set appointment time and will charge me the same as I ordered $67/tire . Needless to say , I was very happy that I got the better model , ProG4, at cheaper price . So today I drive 35 mins to the location, the person who is checking in tells me it will be 10-15 mins till someone comes out to speak with me about my vehicle. One of my front tires has been leaking air for several weeks now and I've just been filling it with air to avoid having to buy new tires like a dummy. This caused us to almost miss our flight last week so I scheduled to get them replaced today as SOON as we got back. So after a rough and exhausting weekend out of town, I came straight here to get them changed. Not only was it cheaper than I was expecting (which was especially wonderful seeing as I just spent way too much money on vacation), but I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. The staff is knowledgeable and kind and you can tell they care about your safety. I enjoyed the experience so much that I'm almost excited for the next time I need to replace them! I would not consider using these people every time I go to them for anything tire related I always get the used car sales person I recently made an appointment to get my tires balanced and rotated on my car it is a 2018 Ford Focus ST with coilovers which every time I go there they look at me like I'm some kind of low life but my wife lo taking her car to them so I tried to take mine there also I bought new tires from a online shop and took them to discount to get them to mount and balance them which was only 7 months ago so like I said I made an appointment and when I get there they proceeded to tell me that the inside of my tires are completely worn out and they won't be able to touch them at all but if I want they would be happy to sell me a new set of tires and this is not the first time this has happened to me with them the last time I bought tires from them I set up an appointment time went up there for my appointment once I got there I asked them how long would it take because I was having to wait there on it and was told no longer than an hour I said ok well I sat there and seen them take walk in after walk in and they got there car done one after one and after 3 hours later I finally asked them what was taking so long and they said we are sorry that it shouldn't be too much longer and after another hour I finally told them that they could keep the tires that I was leaving so if this is the way you like being treated then k using them!! read more

I went in on a Friday to check price on tires. Told salesman that we were going on a road trip on Sunday and needed new tires for the trip. Salesman recommended and quoted price for Yokohama YK-CTXs. Also, was told a rebate was involved. Returned on Sat for appointment only to find tires were now $13 more each. He said if I could prove they quoted me the lower price they would honor it. Well, of course, I could not. Should have left right there but, needed the tires. Anyway, got the job done, salesman never called when the car was done. I called just before closing and found out they were finished. Now, finding out the tires were NOT covered by the rebate after extensive battle with Yokohama. Yokohama "Rebate team" never even heard of YK-CTX tires. Finally after 12 emails, Rebate team determined I was not covered by the rebate. I can't wait to see if I am covered by the warranty. I waited from 930am until 12pm for 1 tire for my truck which was understood since they were super busy and people had appointments ahead of me. I did have to use the bathroom however there was no toilet paper. After about 15 minuets this was taken care of, thank god! Now here's what has me so pissed off! The manager I suppose, big bald fellow promise me that they would put my spare back under my truck as I told him I had a bad back. Guess what? The damn tire is in my truck bed!! I was there late waiting on my tires to arrive, otherwise they would have another star. But being there late made me appreciate not only how hard these guys work & hustle but see they were genuinely concerned for people's safety. The closing time says 6pm but 3 people came in the door after that time (because I was in there) with a problem tire & they fixed every one of them. I mentioned it to the manager that he appeared unable to say no. He said I wouldn't want something to happen to them because they had a bad tire. Good job guys. TLDR; be careful they'll trick you into paying more. Aren't "aware" of how the manufacture warranty works, try to push certificates on you, and lie to you telling you that perfectly good tires are damaged/will change out the wrong tire without double checking. Initially I went in with road damage to one of my tires. I realized at midnight and the next day during lunch I took my car in. I had bought my tires less than 7 months ago and I knew about the Pirelli warranty that covered it thanks to the discount tire location that sold me my tires. Anyway when I went the experienced sales rep of 12 years told me I was wrong and I would only get a prorated amount back and I would have to pay the difference. After I insisted he had his manager-Jimmy come tell me the same thing. I was then told I could call or email Pirelli and they would refund me. While I was waiting I called Pirelli and they told me the store is going to get the full amount back so they shouldn't charge me anything (including labor). When I told them my conversation they still didn't believe me/wanted to tell me their certificates cover me. Apparently the manager finally called Pirelli and was told I was correct. They refunded the difference but still made me pay for labor. He really wanted me to purchase the certificates even after I told him why it wasn't feasible for me to purchase and I was still under warranty. They don't provided you with accurate information or even their most experienced sales reps don't have the knowledge. I guess many people aren't aware of the warranties provided my the manufacturer themselves. They also changed the wrong tire. When I got in the car my car notified me that the air pressure was low in the tire. I told the technician who said I just need to drive a little for the TPS to reset. When I drove I realized that the damaged tire wasn't replaced. I even asked the tech how bad the damage was and what was in the tire and he said it was a piece of metal/nail. I'm glad I turned around and told them. He ended up putting the tire he took off my car to replace the damaged one. I again asked if anything was wrong with that tire he said no. So I guess they're okay lying about/changing out perfectly good tires and telling customers there's something wrong with them even when there isn't. It feels like these people are just trying to scam you out of money. If I didn't have tire pressure sensors they would have let me drive off with a damaged tire. He even told me he checked all the tires' pressure and refilled the air in all of them prior to giving me the car back. I'm not sure how true that was and how he didn't realize the wrong tire was switched when he did that. I also wonder how many people have had their tire changed because these people lied to them telling them the tire was damaged when in reality it was a repairable or fixable issue without costing the customer too much. I wasn't going to post a review because they did end up fixing the issue after I brought it to their attention. I also apologized if I was hassle of them because that wasn't my intention I knew what I was talking about and I don't like being fooled. I feel bad for those who didn't know any better and were tricked into buying new tires when they probably didn't need them. I was asked to fill out a survey via email and since I typed up the review to send to them I figured I post it on here to inform others. The representatives come off as really friendly but just be careful and do your research on your own manufacture warranties and other stuff so you don't get tricked into paying too much.
