News on the Wharf has a pretty good selection ranging from magazines about shooting to climbing to railways (not bought be me I should add) with everything in-between. There are a number of News on the Wharfs scattered around the Canary Wharf Shopping Centre. The Cabot Place West version is my favourite because it is a bit bigger than the others and is close to my workplace. It also stocks basic stationary and sweets/drinks which can be useful.

This location is super convenient to The British Museum, the service is honestly very reasonably priced and the owners were lovely. I would absolutely use this service again if in London without a hotel and in need of a place to store my luggage for the day. Highly recommend!

The selection of newspapers and magazines is very good. I've noticed newspapers from all over the world, reflecting the wealth of ethnic backrounds of local customers. There is also a large stand with greeting cards for all occasions. This shop is really a mix of newsagents and corner shop, selling all sorts of convenience foods. The prices are slightly higher than the local supermarkets, but the convenience of buying a pint of milk almost right on your doorstep is worth paying extra for, in my opinion. You can also get you tube/bus passes here. the bus stop is right in front of this shop, so a quick top-up of the Oyster card is more than convenient here.

Under this postcode I've discovered that there are three W H Smiths on Liverpool Street Station…read more There's a large branch in the Western Mall - ie the passage that links the concourse to Broadgate. This has a fairly decent selection of books and stationery items, as well as confectionery and tobacco. It's spacious and airy, and the best one in which to browse if you have a spare half hour. There's also a mid-sized branch of W H Smiths on the concourse of Liverpool Street railway station at the Bishopsgate end. I don't find the layout of this one very user-friendly: it's shallow but wide, things aren't where I expect them to be, and there are often long queues to buy newspapers. For some odd reason, it also seems to attract litter, which I've never seen in any other branch. Finally, there's another on the first floor, if you need one more!
