Unfortunately the contractor decided to place the gas line and valve to the pit within the masonry work, leaving no way to access the line should the need arise. Flash forward to about a week and a half ago, and the valve in my backyard fire pit became stripped and was no longer opening or closing with they key. I am a DIY guy 95% of the time, but I am not about to go messing around with a gas line, so I called a local fire place shop to ask about repairs. They told me the job required a plumber and recommended Lloyd's Plumbing service. I called Lloyd's, left a message and... never heard back. After a couple days I searched on my own and found Gallegos Plumbing. I called them and asked about an estimate. The gentleman told me there was no charge to have someone come out I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. The communication throughout the entire process was spectacular. Within a couple minutes of hanging up the phone, I had already received an email and text confirming my pending appointment, and even had a reminder email and text the next day. Bill Jeffries was the gentleman who came to my house. He called me to let me know he was on his way and also asked me about the issue I was having with my fire pit so he could be as prepared as possible. He showed up on time and was very friendly. He took a look at my fire pit, spent time answering my questions, and walked me through three different solutions that could work. He was honest and transparent about the estimated costs for each potential solution, which I appreciated. But seeing the concerned look on my face, knowing that I was looking at a higher cost than expected due to how my fire pit was built, Bill offered a fourth solution that I could try myself, and walked me through how he would do it. In my experience, this just doesn't happen these days. Bill was genuinely interested in helping me figure out my problem and not just looking to make some money. After 30 minutes of his time, he gave me his card, shook my hand, told me to call if I needed anything, and bid me a good afternoon. I was left with no charge for the time or the visit, and a potential solution to my problem that I can try myself for the cost of a few tools and an afternoon. Gallegos Plumbing came through huge, and I feel that their service and expertise is second to none. Bill was extremely professional, friendly, and listened to me. I will most certainly be calling Gallegos Plumbing in the future for all my my plumbing needs, as mine was a great first experience. I am glad I found them, and I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service in their home. It's hard to find good, honest, hard-working businesses these days who put their customers first, but Gallegos Plumbing is one of those few. Highly recommended, and I can't say thank you enough.

As I had to leave for an appointment, he called when done, sent pictures via text, and explained the fix. The only surprise was that he me called the next day to check in to ensure all was still OK, and no further issue/leaks. Who does that? Robert of Summers Plumbing! I've used other local "big name" plumbers who wandered in and wandered around looking how they could upsell other services to me and pad the bill. A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. That shows me that they care about their long-term business and customers, so they aren't out to make a quick buck. Honest, hardworking people are the kind of businesses I'll always go back to for repairs and projects. Two separate experiences and I was a happy customer both times. But when we needed to change out an old bathroom vanity for a new one, we knew we had to get serious about it. And if you hire a plumber to do the work, which DOES involve some plumbing, then it costs way more. I resigned myself to the search and literally just contacted the most popular handyman service in my town based on Yelp reviews. Guess what? thank goodness I did! 805's Handyman (NOT to be confused with "805 Handyman") responded right away--even though it was a Sunday and the World Cup games were on. I uploaded pics, sent in the details, got an estimate, and made an appointment. On the day of, a nice truck drove up with the logo painted proudly on the side (not a guy in a fancy sports car, like handyman #9). Two sturdy guys came in and got down to business right away--no fuss, all smiles, and dare I say it? Like they loved what they do. (Unlike handyman #7 who was a former engineer and complained the whole time, even refusing to do some tasks!) Long story shorter, the bathroom vanity switcheroo turned out to be bigger and messier project than expected. It ended up involving some retiling, grouting, electrical adjustments, alterations to trim, painting--and the plumbing bits and installation and removal. The workers were quiet, helpful, communicated the whole time and were just generally old-school excellent (unlike handyman #4, who was nice, but got everything crooked and a bit wonky, bless his heart). The 805's Handyman workers did ALL the plumbing/installing/electrical/tile work/painting--the whole shebang. And the end result is a sweet transformation for our upstairs bath (I also asked them to take care of a few more items on my to-do list, which they did quickly and again, with smiles). The whole thing was very gratifying. So much so, that the next time something in our house needs fixing, I will actually look forward to hiring 805's Handyman again. We're lucky to have them in the Ventura area and they are popular on Yelp for very good reasons.

They worked around my schedule which was appreciated and followed through without issue. I had them work on an outdoor electrical/lighting fixtures and Patrick did it with ease. He came with all his supplies and was prepared, he swapped out my old, ugly lighting fixtures and put in the new ones no issue. He was careful but prompt with getting this task complete. Very nice guy and someone you could trust and who did a honest thorough job. Aside from doing great work and being professional, the price point was also very reasonable compared to ten other quotes I got (yes, I do my research). They are affordable, professional and most importantly they did a great job. Even my neighbors watching from the outside were impressed and came over to take some business cards. We put in the order with Brad, scheduled an appointment for installation and our installer was Maurice. These guys know what they are doing and they made it very easy for us. The set the expectations and we didn't have to do anything. It took us about a couple hours where we couldn't use the water but then all we had to do is flush out the air from the new system. It's the third day now and everything is working great. WHY WE CHANGED: Just got tired of increasing monthly rates and having to open the garage for the techs to switch out the tanks. I swear Dean is the most patient (no pressure) sales guy I've ever met. Yo say he is thorough is an understatement. He carefully looks at all information available from the types of systems to the pros and cons of each and tailors them to the individual's requirements. The best part is he doesn't oversell you on things you don't need. In my case I wanted a system to eventually be ready for an electric car. Dean wisely advised not to buy the extra pieces now when they would be of no value to me, but ensured my system would be ready for upgrades when I was ready. Since our initial install we have upgraded our system on 3 occasions, each time carefully planned out to maximize the value of the equipment and to get the best bang for the buck. In short if I could give 10 stars I would. If you are interested in learning about solar give them a call. You won't be sorry.

I just purchased a water softener and a reverse osmosis system from Rayne Water Conditioning of Ventura. The systems are operating well as I expected, so my comments here concern my purchase experience. The entire staff was authentically courteous. David Silver (Director of Sales) and David Eldridge (general manger of Ventura office) are both personable and have appealing social skills. Andrew Maeda, who came over to sell the products, was quite knowledgeable about the items of our interest. There are many health and environmental issues that concern water softening (see, e.g., http://www.mrwpca.org/green_water_softeners.php). Andrew was able to answer most of our questions, and when he was not sure about something, he would call his supervisor (David Silver), who would provide the missing information to our satisfaction. The rest of my remarks concern FERNANDO (the installer). Water softeners can use either sodium chloride salt or potassium chloride salt to soften the hardness in water. Potassium chloride (which is more expensive) is safe both for human health, and for the environment, sodium is not (see the above link). So we opted for potassium, and asked FERNANDO to install a drainage system that would irrigate our plants using the recycled water produced in the process of regeneration. This was not an easy task. Yet FERNANDO carried it out competently, creatively, and patiently. His dedication to his job is admirable, and Rayne must be proud for having employees like him. In short, I am quite happy with my purchase experience with Rayne Water Conditioning Company, and recommend them strongly to any one who is considering to get a water conditioning system. They provide good service with reasonable prices. read more

First let me start by saying that this company's customer is service is absolutely horrible and it has to be the worst I've ever experienced in my life. I've been a customer for a large number of years, and I've had issues after issues after issues with them! If you call and complain, they ALWAYS hang up on you every time. They never follow up on what they say and promise. The gals who answer the phones are RUDE and borderline disrespectful. Shocking! Supposed to get deliveries of Salt twice a month and didn't get any for 6 straight months! I tried getting credits and extra bags of salt delivered because of this and they CHARGED me extra! Also, my unit broke down and it took them over 9 months for them to come out and replace it with a new one. They tried everything in their power to convince me that it was working fine. So, for the 9 months, NO SALT WATER and yet got billed!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY REGRET IT!! GO TO THEIR COMPETITOR. My neighbor just cancelled their account and is now with Culligan and are very happy with them. I'm also switching over! THEY ARE THE WORSE!!!! read more

Updated review: deleted the old review and rates since this company does not help solve the problem we are having with their service. Lots of spotting. With full or with less salt, spotting never went away. Tried contacting rayne and they sent technicians twice, the first one came and only said your water is soft, everything is fine, spotting continues, 2nd tech was sent over, and said its not enough salt, we filled it with salt up to the mark and spotting is still there. Contacted Beau Rawlings who sold us the equipment and promised good things about the company, and also promised to provide us good amount of salt good for atleast half a year, (which never happens) even follow ups were made. This company is no good. We'll be looking at other company most likely switch to something else. If we could. Customer service here is very slow, techs are bunch of jokes and the hypeman beau rawlings can't keep word! We've had the problem since january and ongoing until now april 29 2019. Nothing has been fixed. No response from beau since our last follow up with them. read more

The whole process from initial contact to installation was awesome. I went on Rayne's website to ask for a quote for RO and Water Softener. Within an hour, I received a phone call from Beau to schedule an appointment. Beau was very professional and knowledgable. He came to our house and tested the hardness of our tap water. Beau also explained to us the difference between leasing or buying their products. We chose to buy the RO and Water Softener systems. After a couple of weeks, their technician came out and installed the system. His work was professional and the installation was clean without issues. He was even able to diagnose and fix a clogged water line for our ice maker that hadn't worked for years! It's been over a month now and we are enjoying our fresh clean drinking water and soft water in the house! We definitely recommend Rayne to those wanting clean tasting drinking water and soft water for your shower and laundry. Rayne Water has been my soft water provider for many year. Luis has serviced my account with consistent outstanding care. His courtesy and attention to details has created a relationship of trust where I am able to be home or away for extended periods, trusting that my property has been secured and protected with every service visit. Luis is knowledgeable, proficient and conscientious. Soft water installation made by access into my garage, has been carried out for years with only one incident of concern with a faulty valve, leaking water into the garage. After installation of another tank not stopping the leak, Luis bypassed the valve and placed a call to his office to have an emergency technician fix the issue. As I was away, I was promptly notified and assured that the issue would be resolved within the hour and it did not require my attention or concern. Luis represents the face of Rayne Water and I remain a grateful loyal customer. read more

Unfortunately I have to downgrade my initial review of Rayne Ventura. At the close of my purchase of a Spartan System I requested a before and after water analysis. Beau said he did not have a kit with him but he would make sure it happened before the new tank was installed. Prior to the install date I called the office to make sure the test would be done. The plumber who did the installation was great but had no clue about doing a water test. I called Beau while the installation was under way and insisted that the test be performed. In the end I had to cajole the installer to take a water sample with an empty water bottle I had on hand. Having heard nothing I called the office, called the office manager and left a message for the Sales Manager. I have had no response. At this point I have no objective way of knowing what this system is doing. And I really resent being blown off by Beau and his colleagues. read more

A couple months ago we had Beau come out to give us an estimate for a water softening system to deal with Fillmore's notoriously hard tap water. Not only did he deliver professional suggestions of what the best approach would be, but we were pleasantly surprised by his straightforward presentation of ideas for us, especially compared with the awkward and robotic tech who previously came out from a different company to give us a quote. Put simply, Beau knew his stuff, and how to best give us what we wanted, as well as a reverse osmosis drinking water system too. A week later, the installer Fernando did a seamless job modifying our existing water lines, including sweating copper joints to add the new fittings for the softening system, I was impressed. All around great service, and the end result soft water and great drinking water makes us wonder why we waited so long to make the call! read more

A 20 year old Rayne water conditioner developed a water leak. Upon making a call to the Rayne office late Thursday afternoon Memorial Day weekend the wonderful office service scheduler "Crystal" said that she would have a service representative to the house the following morning between 8-1000 am. Right on schedule "Robert" arrived and quickly analyzed the problem. The older unit was beyond repair and was replaced with a much more efficient unit. In addition the pressure regulator faulty controlling water pressure entering the house and was replaced and adjusted to protect the new water conditioner and other appliances in the house. A very thorough explanation and training for the equipment was conducted by Robert. I most highly recommend the Rayne professionals for their service. We started our free trial April 30th. What a trip! We liked it so much we decided to give the two gallon delivery biweekly a try. The office is very accommodating and It shows that they not only know how to provide excellent customer service, but they also follow through with their time and effort to ensure that we are covered for the two week period. We are now ready to try the two smaller gallons by-weekly for an additional 3 cubic feet of water a week. The water on the east end of Ventura is terrible, so when I moved into a new place a couple weeks ago David Silver at Rayne Water was the first person I called. He had helped me out a couple years ago with a commercial application at my farm, and I was very impressed with him and also with the product. Wow! I can't even begin to explain the level of customer service provided by Beau and Adriana! Beau set me up with reverse osmosis and water softener, living out in Piru - it's basically a necessity. I've been letting neighbors/residents of our community know about Rayne water as they have proven to be friendly, informative and Spanish speaking as a vast majority of my neighbors are Spanish speaking only. I can't wait for my install date Friday! I know some neighbors have already been set up and it has been a real delight to see how happy everyone is about not having to carry those 5 gallon jugs up and downstairs! I was with Rayne Water conditioning for about a year and then made the wrong choice in thinking i did not need soft water and boy was i wrong. I absolutely needed the soft water here in Fillmore and a water conditioner as my pipes were completely clogged with calcium magnesium. I immediately called Beau Rawlings who is awesome. at Rayne and he came right away and solved my issues. There are other company's out there but highly recommend Rayne Water as they have the best customer service and product anyone can ask for. there front office is especially kind and curtious. i spoke with Phillip, Adrianna and Mariah all are just a joy!! Beau is the man! I called at 1030 on a Tuesday for some general information. He offered to meet me at our new property within the hour. He showed up on time and answered all my questions before I could ask them. He was very respectful and extremely knowledgeable about the systems and the local water conditions. First off let me start by saying I had 3 other soft water company's give me information on their systems. None of these company's came close to what Rayne Water has to offer as far as incredible service and the technology in the products they offer. When I speak about the service it is amazing all around from the office representatives all the way up to sales and management. Wow customer service at its best. I had an up coming service call and Linda called to confirm that was above and beyond now days. She wanted to know if she could do anything to help as we are in the fire zone. Linda as full hearted if our family and home was ok. I finally had enough with the other soft water company starting with "C". I filled out the information on Rayne's website and within a couple of hours I received a callback and after setting up an appointment I received another call from Beau and after some information gathering I was jumped to the front of the line to receive a new tank exchange to meet my soft water needs. Beau went above and beyond to the get me started with Rayne knowing what I was up against with the "C" company!! While I appreciated that he shared his assessment, I would have preferred a more thorough walkthrough of what he was seeing. As a new homeowner and someone who has never owned a personal water softener system before, I was hoping to better understand exactly where the leaks were occurring and why. When I asked for clarification or asked him to repeat certain information so I could fully understand the explanation and pricing, the responses I received were along the lines of "I already told you" or "I just explained it." At one point he also asked, "You don't believe me?" My questions were not about doubting his expertise. I simply wanted to understand the mechanics of the issue and the potential solutions. In today's environment, many homeowners try to be cautious and informed when making repair decisions, especially when unfamiliar with the system being evaluated. Walking a customer through the problem step by step and showing exactly where issues are occurring can go a long way toward building trust. While Eddie was polite when he arrived and again when he left, I ultimately left the interaction feeling patronized and uncomfortable asking further questions. Because of that experience, I decided not to move forward with repairs or replacement through him. Instead, I contacted Rayne Water and arranged for them to install a rental unit that includes yearly servicing. I share this feedback in the spirit of constructive improvement. Taking a bit more time to walk homeowners through the details of a diagnosis and responding to questions with patience would likely create a much better experience for customers who are unfamiliar with these systems.

He is a very personable guy and you can tell he is a complete water nerd, and that is a HUGE compliment. The man clearly does something that he loves for work. His family heritage is in water business too going back to Wisconsin, anyone from there knows the last name immediately. Fast forward to yesterday morning. Dan comes out to do the install. As you can see in the picture, Dan had to get fancy with the piping because of the requirement to be able to access the fire sprinkler system in the garage. This dude was an absolute artist with his soldering skills. He's definitely a measure twice - cut once, type of guy. Just a master at his craft and nothing less. Additionally, Dan installed a RO system for drinking water under my kitchen sink. We had one but it was from 2007 and we mainly used it for coffee water and dog bowl water because it didn't really taste the best but was safe for consumption so this upgrade was very much needed. My wife got home from work to two cups of water on the dining room table, I didn't tell her which one was which. One was a cup of arrowhead spring mineral water and the other was fron the new system. She was able to tell which one was the new system HOWEVER she said it tasted great and not like the previous system. So now, going forward, we will no longer be buying arrowhead jugs and consuming micro plastics on the daily. Wrapping up: A solid 10 star if I could review of a company. Pricing was fair and customer service through the roof. Very happy they're local too. Highly Recommend.

Alonso was our installer, and he did a fabulous job from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and took the time to make sure everything was installed properly. About a week later, I contacted the main office regarding an issue with the reverse osmosis system. I was very impressed with how quickly Advanced Water Solutions responded. Alonso returned promptly, quickly troubleshot the issue, and repaired the problem efficiently. I would like to commend Advanced Water Solutions for their expedited customer service, efficient response, and excellent repair support. It's refreshing to work with a company that truly stands behind their service and values their customers.
