Shawn verbally told us on our final walk through the wooden gate was twisting but he'd place a nail which he'd like us to keep in place for a few days. He'd be in touch the following week to check in, and should the gate continue to twist after removal he'd "take care of it".  We texted him 3 weeks after install, since we Didn't hear from him for a "check in" the week after, and we told him the gate was still twisting. He acknowledged the text and said he'd be by later that week. We never heard from him the day he told us he'd be by and texted him for a follow up.  No reply for 2 days. During our back and forth texting he had us mixed up with another client. 5 days went by before he Finally replied, accurately replying to us regarding the gate.  He again acknowledged the issue and said he'd contact the distributor.  He then started mentioning "wood does this" but during our final walk through he is the one who said it would be taken care of should the twisting be an issue. 10 days passed before we reached out to him for a follow up. He didn't respond for 2 more days. When he finally did he said: "I will try and get over there next week to try and do something with it.  This is not sometging that I normaly do.  Wood does this." Again, he is the one who said he would check in with us specifically regarding the gate twisting. Never mentioned "this is not something I normally do" or that we'd have to pull teeth to have the issue fixed. We simply contacted him on his word he'd rectify the problem. We voiced our concern over that fact and that it had Only been a few weeks. His reply: "We built this gate above spec and I cant do anythingabout the wood warping it states on your contract we are not responsible for wood warping. If I come back out there will be a service charge." Now he isn't responsible, and there will be a service charge (first mention of this). We told him he was the one who said he'd be in touch to check on the twisting, otherwise we wouldn't be pressing the issue. And he may not want to say he's going to do something when that's clearly Not his intent. Do Not recommend.

Mr Sorrell Gillespie remodeled my kitchen during June - August 2023 and I want to warn other people…read moreabout his poor management, coordination, and communication skills. He replaced flooring, ceiling lights, installed cabinets and countertops, and kitchen appliances as well as breaking a wall into the adjoining room. On day one he told me to be ready for the plumber, and I was, and moved items out of the plummer's way only to have Mr Gillespie call me about an hour before the was to arrive to tell me that something went wrong and he could not come and that the electrician was coming instead. I had to rush and move things out of the electrician's way causing stress and frustration. This is an example of the entire timeline of the project. Terrible planning and crew management. On many days no one showed up until I called him and then they would show. On a few occasions no one would show up during the workweek without letting me know. When they removed the flooring they found extra layers of old flooring. They did not show for 2 days after their discovery then continued with the floor. At one point Mr. Gillespie showed me where the floor was not completely flat due to the extra layers and his fix of this issue and I thought this would be alright and something I could live with. Now I have many places, not just the one spot he showed me, where the floor is completely warped. On 2/1/24 one of the corners of the tile chipped off. Today is April 24, 2024 and the last time I asked him to come to evaluate the floor and what can be done was 2/1/24. I have not heard from him since and I wanted to be sure I gave him more than enough time to contact me before complaining about his bad workmanship and terrible management. And both myself and my spouse contacted him in February and we're still waiting for his reply. He stated he wanted to contact the flooring company to see if they still manufacture my tiles. We both have the texts in our phones to prove this timeline.

My yard was over-landscaped by the previous owners and the driveway has a carport so it's not the most accessible space. Ex-Tree came and took it all out in a few hours and also removed other yard waste we had from our DYI plant removals. The crew quick and careful, cleaned up well and not even a single flower in my yard was bent. I've been worried about that pear tree breaking and with the yews, depleting the soil around it. Now we're ready to rehabilitate the backyard and make it safe and functional. Ex-Tree competitively prices services and offers solutions, not just ala carte services. I have already recommended them to friends, and now that I can see into my neighbor's yards and see their trees, will be recommending them to my neighbors.
