Good prices on michters bourbon. It's comparable to any other prices I've seen. Would recommend.

I wish I could give this place no stars. If you get cash back its a 1 dollars charge and a .50 cent charge to use the ATM card. They block the sign that are supposed to show you the charges on the counter under the 2 for 1 dollar meat sticks. So when I asked a taller middle eastern gentleman with a black bluetooth in his ear, why it's hidden under there he flips out by getting loud with me, "I don't want your money and I'm not playing these games with you. And you can leave my store." I didn't say anything about games but from his reaction he knows his store does something wrong. I have no words for that incident except enough to give this place a 0-1 star review. read more

Beware, they won't sell to you even if you have a real Id. Went to buy a 12 pack after work, and the worker wouldn't accept my ID even after trying to assure him that it's real. Like who would get a vertical Fake ID with a picture from when I was 16 and first got my drivers license. Absolutely ridiculous. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Rays is the place where all the fun begins! They sell alcohol and lots of it. They also sell some snacks, beer pong accessories, tubes, and other little nicknacks you might need for a drunken day/evening. It's perfect for filling up your tubes, filling up your ice chest and filling up your stomach with alcohol on the river. Convenient location in Nord and on your way to the river. I appreciate Ray's broad collection of microbrews, including some very hard to find offerings. The last visit had some over the top hardcore rap playing while I was trying to find a certain IPA. It was a negative mood changer for me but I didn't feel comfortable speaking up to the clerk at the counter knowing it was his music. I did however take the time to call to speak to a manager the following day. Much to his credit, he was very receptive and appreciated that I cared enough to take the time to call. It turned what was a mixed experience into a positive one where I will definitely go back to find that rare IPA Rays carries. read more

I like this little store but the owner, or the older gentleman who appears to be the owner follows me around without saying hello or smiling every time I visit. One time, I was looking at the beer and he needlessly walked in front of me blocking my view without greeting me. He also follows me out the door every time I visit. I understand you need to watch your store but you don't have to be mean and rude and treat everyone like a criminal. read more

I am appalled, I got a sprite from this store and where I opened it to take a sip I got a bitter taste in my mouth even though I had not even drank anything. Spin closer inspection I noticed ants on and in my soda. This is disgusting and gross. Hope I can exchange it or get a refund. Smh read more

Went there this past week to get a keg for our son's birthday party. It was a big deal, as it was our son's first attempt at hosting a "man party", and it was my first attempt at purchasing a keg since I was probably his age hahaha. Gabriel was awesome--incredibly friendly and professional. They have pretty much anything you could ever need or want in a liquor store, and their prices are reasonable, compared to some of the smaller "convenience" liquor stores around town. They keep a giant ice trailer in the parking lot, with the best bulk ice prices in town (a 40 lb bag cost $7). He even threw in an extra 40 pounds of ice for free and didn't charge me extra for bringing the keg back a day late (we rented the tap). Although the store is across town from me, I will definitely drive the extra mile to go to Ray's in the future. Great job Gabriel and crew! read more

Convenient shop for snacks, alcohol, inner tubes for the river and soft drinks. Service is great, prices are good and location is awesome.

I just moved back to Chico a few months ago and started returning to a Chico Icon; Ray's Liquor. I was PLEASANTLY surprised by the new management. Gabriel was absolutely AWESOME and very welcoming! He offered me one of his "favorite wines " - (white) and what a WONDERFUL suggestion it was!!! I am pleased to say that I am now a regular to Ray's and it is because the customer service there is just stellar! Thanks for taking over one of Chico's best liquor stores and making it better!!!!! Amazing beer selection, and the young guys that work there are extremely helpful and genuine.

I called and the guy I was very rude and short. Could have been the launguage barrier though. All I wanted to know was wether or not platinum came in a keg. I repeated myself four times then asked if they had a keg list online repeated that a few times and gave up. read more

I went in and bought baileys for the first time excited to try it. Tasted TERRIBLE. All my friends didn't know why, until we looked at the expiration date. 2015. Every baileys on their shelf was 2015. They refused to give me my money back or give me a new one that wasn't expired (Bc they didn't have any LOL) I talked to the manager and he tried telling me baileys Irish CREAM doesn't expire........ and that it tasted fine to him. Rude and dishonest to customers. Will never buy from here again. Way to sell old product and stay a loyal company. GARBAGE! read more

Not worth your time as another reviewer said. If you are renting inner tubes the whole system is rigged to provide advantage to the House. we rented 4 tubes during the off season and lost the pitiful 2x2 faded receipt that acts as the ONLY means to get your hard earned money back from a morally bankrupt cashier. Literally in the span of three hours the guy did not remember me nor did he care. I asked him to look at the security cameras of which there were many and he claimed he was not the owner and could not access them. Hmm I bet if Mr unhelpful got robbed he would find a way. We should be so lucky. Stay away and use any other resource to rent tubes. This place gives crooked a new name. read more

great location, but super over priced, went in to get a couple of things majority of the beers were expired, good liquor selection but pretty over priced, it's located by the college so im sure high rent , but you can charge college kids anything since mommy and daddy are paying for it and get away with it. read more

Rented two tubes today to float down the river with my girlfriend. It was 100 degrees out. Near the end of our time on the river, my tube exploded. No debris or anything in the water, the cheap, over-filled tube merely exploded unexpectedly. I am 63 years old and a heart attack survivor. I did have a cooler with me and struggled for about 20 minutes to reach shore. I was in serious trouble as the water was deep when this occurred. Relieved to have made it back to the store with one good tube and another with a 3-foot gash, I was appalled to learn I did not receive my $15 back for return. The weak policy states I have to return the tube in the same condition, it was in poor condition when I rented it apparently. The manager said he was sorry, but stuck to the policy. I could have drowned if I was an inferior swimmer, I certainly wouldn't hold a liquor store responsible, but I do fully expect to get my refund. Inferior tube, crappy policy. Only serves to mildly protect the business as my only retort is to blast this business here and publicly as often as I can. The liability for renting these tubes out is potentially tremendous, merely refunding a customer for a deficient product would seem to be a no-brainer. read more
