Stopped here to pick up supplies for a birthday party! The place is worth a visit just for the amazing smell when you open the door! We grabbed some Kielbasa, Salami, Steaks, Bacon and since we were in Colby, Wi, we had to get some Colby Cheese! Everything was great and service was fantastic. Absolutely amazing selection of things here! I've been a fan of their beef chunk jerky (not sure the actual name) for years starting back when they were in Unity. I bought a lot, vacuum sealed it, and sent it overseas to my military friends! And it's not just meat! They have a great selection of wines and syrups and the list just goes on! Definitely worth the tiny detour off of Hwy 13 to check it out. read more

Categorized as a deli, I'm not so sure I'd place it exactly in that category, but it works. Ray's market carries all the requisite things needed for a quick snack for a party, an adventure in the woods, or for the hunter to get his or her venison processed. My personal favorites here are the spicy hot beef sticks, the chocolate fudge cheese, and the cranberry wasabi. All are made locally with local ingredients. If you like bratwurst, Ray's makes fresh bratwurst in a variety of flavors you won't find in the mass-produced meat aisle of the local grocery stores. And cheese -- locally made -- this is the home of Colby cheese after all -- is excellent. Ray's Market is on a side street, off the main route where it used to be located, but once you find it, you'll be in for a treat. read more

If you are traveling near Colby, Ray's is worth checking out. They have great foods to take along to the cabin or wonderful Wisconsin treats to take home or give as gifts. We especially enjoyed the wine and cheese selection. The smoked meats were great as well. They also had a good selection of frozen meats that we couldn't try on this trip but will the next time we are in the area and headed home. Our favorite treat was a smoked hot stick that was spiced just right with a bit of heat but not too much. They also have hotter varieties for the spice fans. We can't wait to go back! read more

This is our favorite meat shop in these parts. Their sausage has a wonderful smokey flavor. I also enjoy picking up some of the more "old fashioned" products that my dad loves, such as bologna, metwurst and head cheese. I can always count on something for the grill when I stop. read more
