This establishment has processed cheese, Cheese curds, jams/jellies, crackers, etc. The thing here that is awesome is their aged cheddar cheeses and from 10 to, I think, I saw a 20-year-old shard cheddar. All of these cheeses are very reasonably priced. Either way, I need about a couple of pounds of 12-year and some aged brick cheese. They were the best thing ever. I have this on my radar now. Whenever I go to Wausau or Stevens Point, I am hitting this place and stocking up on my cheese.

Technically they were past breakfast time but they said they could still whip them up for me since they weren't busy. The biscuits were okay - buttery but not exciting. The gravy was the best part super creamy and a richness to it but again nothing out of the ordinary - no unique flavors or spices... And I was really disappointed that the sausage was just little cut up pieces on top not mixed into the gravy at all for flavoring. I would eat again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here.

We stopped in and were lucky enough to arrive while they were actually making curds. It was fun watching part of the process through the observation windows. The retail area isn't very large, but they pack in a surprising amount of merchandise. It didn't take many customers before the space started to feel crowded, making it a little difficult to browse some of the products. Of course, we couldn't leave without a bag of fresh cheese curds. They were absolutely delicious. I'm glad we made the stop.

Ordered a couple of London Fog Tea Lattes (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam) in a mug. I would normally get a piece of pastry, and prefer a scone, but they didn't offer those, so I skipped that. The senior staffer was doing a nice job helping the trainee with the recipe and process. It seemed to be a helpful and caring relationship between the two. After a few minutes, we got our drinks. We usually just get the drink in a mug, but our drinks were made in a small coffee urn, and we were able to pour them after they finished steeping. That was a nice option. The drinks had nice flavor with the extra foam. However, they were just barely warm. We decided to drink them, but I did mention this to one of the staff afterward. It's a nice place to hang out. Next time I would definitely mention or ask for my latte to be hotter (around 130°F to 145°F).

They had sheets of fondant, specialty sugars, cake decorations, icing..... that arent even carried by big grocery stores in Chicago. I would have had to order them from online. However, this store is a baker's dream. The prices are very fair and even cheaper than I expected. Maranatha market is a quaint country store that I would recommend to anyone in the area. I am so glad that the hotel staff recommended this place to me. The drive to the store was beautiful and the store staff were very welcoming. Recommendation- Buy the frozen pies! They are made by a Mennonite woman with a certified kitchen. I tried the Dutch Apple Pie and it was AMAZING!!!!!! The crust was to die for and the filling was perfect- not cloying, not too sweet, nor was it too heavy on spices. I feasted on that Apple Pie. They had other varieties of pies- Regular apple pies, berry pies and so on. This holiday season keep them in your freezer and stick them straight into the oven for an hour. Perfect for guests. If you live in the area, this is a nice place to frequent and support local small businesses. If you are a visitor to the area like I was, Maranatha Market is a must visit .
