Now it's been 8 weeks, several phone calls, several emails to them, 1 return phone call and 1 return email promising they'd give me the quote and those dates have passed. I still do not have a quote! I called 2 other companies for a quote, one got back to me in 2 days and the other in less than 24 hours. I needed a third for insurance purposes so I've kept contacting them but there is no way I would ever use their services after this slow of a response. Unfortunately, they didn't get back to me, but when I called them, they set me up with a date to come out and fix the garage door opener (it was just before the holidays and they were short staffed, so I certainly don't hold anything against them for not getting back to me within the original timeframe). The gentleman who came out and fixed the door was great - knocked out everything quickly while I continued my own work. $500 seemed fair to put in an all new garage door opener and keypad. The only thing keeping me from giving them five stars is that the repair man took down what code I wanted for our keypad but didn't program it using that code. I had to read through the instructions and reprogram it myself. Other than that, solid place. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Met the contractor and discussed the problem, they looked at the vent stack and the shingles and told me "we could do the work, but it's probably a plumbing issue, I don't want to charge you for something that's not going to fix the problem." We talked another 20 minutes about possible ways to diagnose. Super friendly, super professional.

They were eager to tear things apart and not put them back together as they said they would.. they tore down the cover over the basement and decided that they could not put that cover back again and did not refund me the amount that they charged me to put it up. Being born a raised in Jackson I was not expecting that. They also tore apart the front of the house and was supposed to get an engineer to rebuild it and they waited so long that I hired a contractor to put it back.. very disappointed on a Mullins family business. Also, Ace provides excellent service after sale -- for example, I had bats coming in from the porch area -- Bill and his crew came over and fixed the opening (not actually part of the roof)! Then I had an issue with a gutter that did not drain properly -- they also came over and fixed that -- and installed a new drain spout, as part of their commitment to over all customer experience and satisfaction. Again, technically not part of the roof that they installed, but they fixed it anyways! They are not the cheapest in terms of price -- but you get what you pay for: Ace is a top level company in the field of roofing, even though they don't have big name recognition. I heard David Flores did some work in the neighborhood, and I contacted him about installing a basement egress window. He came out to give us an estimate the same day, talked through the options with us and explained the work (drainage!), and sent a detailed estimate with costs down to the penny.
