Saved myself between $100-$250 by having my ultrasound done here. This is a big deal at the beginning of the year, when deductibles are at their peak. As a 20 year old, medical appointments are interesting because it seems nobody takes you seriously. But Oh my goodness, after having a terrible medical morning the ladies at epic were a breath of fresh air. My initial phone call to make an appointment seemed a little brash so I was nervous about what the facility may be like and since this was a zoom care referral I was anxious. (My zoomcare seems to have a history making me get tests done that don't seem really relevant to my pain) The lady who checked me in (I can't remember her name, all I know is that she had a newborn baby!) was fantastic and friendly and caring. Everything you could hope for. (I'm only subtracting a star because I arrived at 12:45 for a 1 pm appointment, with a full bladder per procedure instructions mind you) and I wasn't seen until 1:15 and I was almost in tears I had to pee so bad. For such an invasive procedure, I almost felt like I was at a day spa. Relaxing music, a warm gown that smelled like lavender fabric softener, and dimmed lights! Totally put my nerves at ease. After a negative result, I was also asked by my physician to try and get another image while I was there and the ladies at the front desk were super accommodating to that too! They dealt with my insurance for me and helped me get an appointment right away. Made me feel taken care of and loved on when I needed the most support I could get. I even ended up having to call back to make sure my records were shared with another doctor and the man who answered for the labs/imaging was fantastic and totally on my side. Good things are happening here. read more

The MRI was probably okay, but the tech made no effort to be polite, reassuring, or to explain the procedure. She put a rubber ball in my hand but neglected to tell me what it was for or if there was anything I should know about follow up. Either she was having a bad day or she shouldn't be working in the field of health care. read more

I wish I could give no stars. After a botched MRI, contrast leaked into my veins, the doctor came in and the first thing he told me was that I would not be charged. Like that was my concern! How about the contrast in my blood stream and the pain and side affects! The MRI was incomplete and I made an appointment to come back. A few days later I received a letter in the mail signed by a doctor saying that my MRI results were normal! So unprofessional and quite frankly a medical nightmare. I called the doctor and have left three messages and no return phone call. I will NEVER go back. I now go to Clearview and the attention and courteous treatment is 100% better than Epic. UPDATE I received a phone call from an Epic employee yesterday after posting this review. He asked me if I still wanted the doctor to return my phone call after three weeks of not returning my calls. They just don't get it. Professionalism would dictate that the doctor return phone calls. Clearly professionalism is not at the top of their mission statement. read more

Everyone in this building needs to go back to school for proper bedside manner and office etiquette. I'm disgusted that these people think they belong in the healthcare industry. Karen could probably survive in a hospice ward in a men's correctional institution with her horrific and unorthodox bedside manner. I was told to arrive for my appointment at 12:45pm. I arrived to the location at approximately 12:29pm. When I walked in and approached the boy at the front desk, he smiled and greeted me, then asked me to hold on for a minute. (I don't mind cause I'm early and I have a text message or 5 to write). Well one minute turned into ten minutes when he finally acknowledged me again. I got my paperwork and sat down. I gave him my paperwork and went back to my phone. A few minutes later another male employee was behind the desk and when he was told I was ready, he not so quietly exclaims "She was supposed to be here 15 minutes ago!" I was starti directly at him and when he realized it he put his tail between his legs and walked off. I didn't catch either of their names, but this gets better. The woman Karen with her attitude in tow grabbed me from the waiting room. I got all changed and waited for her to come back. She had asked me a few questions and could tell my reason for being there was somewhat emotional for me but she stayed stone cold and scoffed at one of my answers. Went for the MRI and she carried the attitude throughout. She needed to inject the contrast, as soon as she stuck me I was yelping in pain. That just irritated her further, she had to restick in my wrist. We finished up and as I was walking out of the room I said "Sorry for the delay today." Without much of a pause good ol' KAREN says "We'll catch up SOMEhow". I felt horrible and I shouldn't have even apologized after everything I had experienced but it was a few days before Thanksgiving so I was attempting to be understanding. When I got to my car I couldn't even drive away. I sat there bawling my eyes out. I guarantee the next time I need imaging, I'll drive to Texas and pay premiums to avoid Epic and everyone at this building. Do yourself a favor and tell your doctor to give you a referral for any other imaging company. read more

It should not take an hour to schedule an appointment. It should not take a total of two hours to schedule an appointment and find out that epic imaging will not bill my insurance and wants to be paid out right. I'm very happy I found another place for services, which was booked in less than 10 minutes. I understand that they function well as a large catch all of services, but the customer service experience leaves much to be desired. read more

Had a biopsy done on here and brought in paperwork to show the doctor what kind of medicine I had have the other place gave me a that he didn't listen and is one kind of medicine but it was supposed horrible painful thing I've ever gone through my life and I kept augment hurt so bad but he just listen all I said is should be enough for now and totally disregarded my feelings and my pain read more

This is the most piss-poor planned situation I've ever seen. The front desk staff is less that energetic and friendly. My Dr's do not like to refer here because they get better imaging from Syker and St. Vs. It's kind of like visiting urgent care where you get this grossed out feeling. I cannot believe the lack of patience and incredible rudeness of the front desk staff. I had a bad taste in my mouth when I called yesterday to schedule my appointment and the woman on the other end of the phone was angry with me when I could not read my doctor's hand writing next to my test type on my order form. I've been here for an hour and still haven't been seen. My appointment was 45 minutes ago... I will not be coming back here ever again. I'll go up to the hospital where even though the wait is long, people treat me with respect and understanding. If I could give less than one star, I would. read more

Epic imaging has gone downhill. Registration is a nightmare. Extensive wait times. Rude front desk staff. Cannot keep appointment times. I called to make an appointment for an X-ray and waited on hold for 40 minutes. Maybe an online scheduler would be beneficial? Finally got an appointment and when I arrived to the office, low and behold, they didn't have me on the schedule and said I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. They asked if I wanted to reschedule? No, I have a broken bone, I do not want to wait. Not pleased with the performances here. read more

I waited on hold for over 40 minutes twice to try to make an appointment. Called yesterday afternoon, and tried today and actually as I am writing this review, I am still on hold with, 'thank you for holding' comes up periodically... So far 41 minutes and counting!!! I decided to go to Good Sam Breast center for my mammogram and called them on another line and already made an appointment. I tried sending Epic an email (the same email they list for contact us on their web site) and it bounced back. I hope management of this place reads these reviews and takes appropriate actions. I have been to both the Portland and the Nimbus locations in the past two days. I was impressed by the whole experience, my 2 MRIs were done on schedule and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. They took the time to make me feel comfortable and informed, and the Portland tech even took the time to show me what the procedure was going to be like the following day. For a fairly large guy with claustrophobia the staff was great!! read more

I've been here many times for my different imaging means. From MRI to x-ray to mammogram, they have everything in this building and the most wonderful staff to accompany it. Every time I have been there, my check has been very smooth and the staff has been very friendly. It's the kind of office where if they see you often enough, they remember you. After check in, there is always a very short wait before you are called back for your imaging session. Once the images have been taken they are immediately delivered to your physicians offices but I always request a CD to take with me which they are always happy to provide. As far as imaging goes, this place really has their stuff together and I appreciate their professionalism and friendly nature. read more

Registration went smoothly. The only complaint I had was the volume of the female representative that assisted me at registration. I felt she spoke too loud, which made me feel uncomfortable, especially when I was being asked personal health information (including SSN). The lobby was half full. And the chairs were positioned too close to the registration desk, only about 3 feet away. Therefore, I truly feel this place does not comply with HIPAA regulations in this particular matter. It really makes a difference in how their employees handle personal information, especially when they're aware they're speaking inside a large room of people. read more

Epic was a total disaster. From an efficient and friendly experience in prior visits it has turned into an annoying experience dominated by a commercial TV channel blaring. An hour and twenty minutes after my appointment time and still waiting in a crowded waiting room, I left. The waiting room staffer was less than friendly. I wonder if Epic has changed ownership. 2 MRIs from DeSai. No bedside manner. Both MRIs came back "normal." I had two surgeries from a surgeon he works with that proved otherwise. Each time, "put me on the scope to see what's wrong." I went to Epic Imaging today to get a full abdominal ultrasound. I was helped immediately, I was checked in and treated respectfully, and within a few minutes I was taken back for my ultrasound. The technician was thorough and helpful. Overall my visit there was successful and I was very pleased with the service I received. read more

My husband and I prefer to get all of our imaging done at Epic. The staff is excellent in their patient care and even the receptionists are amazing as well. Their professionalism and warmth means the world to us. And everything is included in the bill--even the radiologist reading, so there are no surprise add-ons that come later. The costs are usually cheaper than anywhere else too! I also appreciate the fact that if we need the images right away to take to a doctor's office, they can do that for you while you wait. Every single time we have been there, it has been such a positive experience and we plan to go back for years to come. read more

Epic people were ABSOLUTELY wonderful to me. We drove all the way over from the coast. I was scheduled to have a procedure because of a suspicious mammogram that was taken by my Primary Care Provider here at home. Epic took a closer look at my mammo and couldn't see anything. Did a sonogram first and then they did an additional mammogram on more advanced equipment. They couldn't find anything to do a biopsy on. Thank you Epic for taking the extra steps to save me from a painful biopsy that I really didn't need. Everyone was friendly and personable. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return for services. read more

I just had a great visit at Epic imaging. My doctor referred me, so I've never been before. Making the appt was very easy and the receptionist was very nice. It only took a couple minutes, which was nice. I hate some doctors, they want a ton of info and when you get there you're telling them again. Anyway, check-in was great... they seem to have decent software to make it quick. I only waited 3 minutes until I was called. The nurse was very very nice and explained everything to me in detail. Doctor came in and was also very pleasant. Both the nurse and doctor asked if I was okay a half dozen times. I liked that they were aware of my nerves and general well-being since these procedures can be scary. During the procedure, the doctor was explaining what she was seeing so it wasn't a mystery. Overall, I would definitely go back to epic imaging again. read more

I have been here twice both times for a HSG and both times I didn't have to wait to be seen very long at all, receptionist was friendly and professional and gave me a 20% discount for paying cash which was nice and the procedure went smoothly both the nurse and radiologist were friendly and professional. I would recommend epic imaging at Nimbus to anyone needing a HSG test. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. These people are the most incompetent excuses for employees. I was assured I would be scheduled for Thursday at 3pm. I'm new to Oregon and I had to fly a relative in from out of state to babysit for my appointment. I have SIX kids that I needed a babysitter for. They took the liberty of scheduling me for next Monday AFTER my babysitter will be flying home. I explained the situation and asked for a supervisor. They told me they don't have a supervisor and I'm out of luck. I sure hope none of them ever get faced with needing testing for breast cancer. This place is absolutely deplorable. read more

avoid this one. DO NOT take your elderly parents here. The Dr doing my imaging could not have been nicer. BUT, the nurse was scary, mean, very meth-y, rough with Tan-Mom face, & huge stiff blown-out mullet. First, she got very nonverbally offended that I didn't want to leave my clothes, & shoes in the public dressing rooms that didn't lock. I brought my stuff in along with my purse. She asked what brought me there, and I kept trying to answer, but she kept not-understanding, shrugging her shoulders, rolling her eyes, shaking her head at me. But she kept digging and disliking the results! ( I have no problem communicating to the other doctors & nurses I go to.) Anyway, this seemed to be some sort of punishment. (I noted that the computer screen had my Dr. Name & what I was in for. ) Finally I just gave up and waited for the Dr. The Dr. came in and seemed extremely friendly, almost apologetic for whatever may have been going on. Afterwards, because I was so filled with testing fluids, they ushered me to the restroom. When I came back, somebody else was in my supposedly safe-&-secure dressing room, so I ended up changing in the restroom. I took back the utility bag they gave me along with the robe & set it on the floor outside my dressing room. I saw the nurse came upon it and, again, looked at me, as outraged as you can get without screaming. I can only imagine how she would treat some elderly person. read more

I can't say enough about what Kelly at Epic imaging did for me today. My doctor had ordered the wrong test and she literally spent over a hour trying to fix it and get my test paid for. All the while being discrete and supportive. This is one place that I hope I won't have to return to, but if I do, without hesitation, I will go to Epic. read more

I arrived extra early to get checked in for my "imaging". Fortunately, I was reading a great article about George Clooney, and did not realize that I had waited 15 minutes past my appointment time to be seen, hence the 4 stars. What was great was to have my mammo and immediately receive an "all clear" after the on staff radiologist reviewed by digital mammogram. This took so much stress away and I left knowing that I was okay. After having a very scary looong weekend last year waiting to receive another mammogram, it was awesome to get the results right away. Digital mammograms are better for women with dense breast tissue according to the tech. at Epic. I would recommend Epic to anyone. read more

I hope everyone stays away from this business. I was sent there for a thyroid biopsy and Dr. Bocci and his medical assistant made me feel like I was a criminal out for drugs. They put me in the room and then the assistant started yelling at me asking why I was there. I kept trying to tell her but she would not stop yelling. Finally Dr. Bocci walked in as it was apparent he was listening at the door and grabbed the paperwork from me as I was trying to show his assistant the line she had skipped. So because he did not read it correctly and look at the ultrasound that was sent to him to review I was made to feel like a criminal...... PLEASE FIND A DIFFERENT IMAGING PLACE. read more
