At $10 a crab cake, I was expecting something half-way decent. It was very small. That was okay, as long as it was decent. I took a small bite. Well, it wasn't even that. It was a sloppy fried cake of seasoned flour paste with MAYBE a teaspoon of crab dispersed within the entire cake. The line was 20-people deep, so I couldn't return it right away. I just wanted to get a refund on the cake, and order something else, like French fries instead (that would be safe). The girl told me she couldn't give me a refund since I "ate on it". I told her, how would I know it was bad if I couldn't taste it? (AND it tasted like cheese, and had the texture of melted cheese). Well, the girl at the counter took it to the manager, who gave me fries instead lieu of a credit. I'm so sorry I didn't take a picture, I forgot all about Yelp, and wasn't thinking. I'm so glad there is this venue to vent to. Oh, by the way, we ordered two taps waters, and was told they only sold bottled water. My bf said, okay, give us that. When we sat down, he handed me a drink cup. I said, where's my water? He said, this is what she gave me. I looked at the receipt, and it had 1 bottle water ($2.50) and one fountain drink ($4.00). So be prepared to be "uncharged", and look at your receipt before you walk away. I let that slide because it wasn't worth the trouble to return the cup and get a water instead, but I really wanted to return the crab cake because it was that much of a disappointment. Asked if I could do my order over the phone to secure some crawfish, but she politely told me I needed to come and go through the drive thru. It's located on the left hand side of LA Hwy 70. There are two seafood places side by side but Craws and Claws is the first one before you get to the lake. Be careful where you turn in at because it's a drive thru set up, so you go in one side and come out of the other. If you mess up like I did, it's easy to turn around, just be careful. There was a dry erase board just off to the side of the drive thru where the whole menu shows you just what they have and the prices. I came on Monday April 26th at 2PM. The menu showed crabs, crawfish, shrimp, both live and boiled, corn, potatoes, sausage, mushroom, garlic, sausage, and more. The lady was so nice both in person and on the phone. She packaged our stuff up so securely and even gave us an extra bag just in case. Our price was $3.99/lb for boiled crawfish but depending on when you come that price will fluctuate. Early on in crawfish season it's pretty expensive, but toward the end of the season, things gets little more affordable. Hands down, that was the best crawfish I've had in a long time. It was spiced just right. We had not even one bad crawfish. It was all great. The potatoes and corn were excellent. The boudin did not disappoint. It was so tasty and delicious. We had a big ol' polar pop to help wash it all down. We paid about $58 and some change for 12lbs of very tasty crawfish....that included 2 orders of potatoes, 2 orders of corn, and 2 pieces of boudin. Not a bad price at all for the amount of food we got. We enjoyed every bit. We will be going back very soon.

But after working here for a week I am thoroughly impressed by the food and the restaurant owners and workers. I want to thank the young lady working the register at Moore's today she was exceptional. I ordered the crawfish etouffee which came with fried fish, white rice, green beans and potato salad. I really have no complaints about this meal it was really good and the amount of food received is what one would expect. This is definitely a hole in the wall. But a hole in the wall with a bunch of really nice people coming in and out ordering food to go. I had great conversation with other customers who were also waiting for their food. Most definitely a go to place whenever I come back in the area.
