I purchased an LG MICROWAVE and after 14 months the magnetron went out. RC WILLEY would do nothing. I will not do business with this store or with the substandard manufacture LG ever again. I have been a customer for years and spent close to 20000 over the years. They have lost my business forever. I will do you a big favor and let you know this is not the RC Willey of the good ol days. They have their rules (can only pay by credit card for an initial purchase not to pay off a purchase/ can only pay with a check or a checking account draw if set up a payment plan (no credit card payments)/ fees for everything (even paying off with a credit card) and will not deviate from them for the sake of customer service. I was approved for their 6 months same as cash (excellent credit at 850) and have had nothing but problems paying the bill and then after 2 months of monkeying around, paying it off. Their product is great; their company is NOT! Save yourself a headache and pay cash for any purchase or you can't say you were not warned! Payment plans are 'gotcha' plans. read more

I am so disappointed in RC Willey Furniture in Layton. I have always been a fan of RC Willey Furniture I have purchased many times from both the Riverdale and Layton stores over the years (Riverdale has been closed a while so that tells you I have been a long time customer). In February 2026 I decided to buy my 85 year old mother who was in hospice care and I was her caretaker a more comfortable recliner. The delivery was set for between 1 and 3 pm. My sister and her son were going to be at my house at 1130 to help move the furniture out of the way for delivery set up. At 1045 I go to take a shower before my sister and her son get here and I hear people in the livingroom so I hurry out and the delivery guys had just put the chair in the middle of the floor with an 85 year old woman on oxygen and her tubes running through the room. If she hadn't been up in her other recliner nobody would have answered the door but she was. I come out of the bathroom with wet hair realize they had just delivered it 2 hours early and chase them down as they were driving off. The one delivery guy said there wasn't space for a setup I said my sister was coming over but you are 2 hours early so they came back in helped me get the other out of the way put it in the spot it was going didn't demonstrate any features show how it works etc. The chair is nice and functions well. My mother passed away on April 1 and I am using the chair now. My problem with RC Willey is that when this initially happened I called customer service because I didn't feel that they fulfilled the setup and delivery I paid for. They never called me back at the time but life got bad with my mom's health and she passed away and life got upended. So I finally took a breath today and decided to call RC Willey customer service again. It took a while of let me check on this etc. The end result was they would not refund my $99 setup and delivery because they did actually come back in when I stopped them from leaving. My point was they were 2 hours early and were just going to leave it in the middle of the livingroom.They were not going to fulfill there part of the delivery contract that I paid for. I sent a review in February about this but if something would have been by customer service I would have continued to be a customer but since this determination today I will never be a customer again over a $99 set up and delivery charge that I felt should be refunded because of the way they just left the chair in the middle of the room because the space wasn't ready for set up because they were 2 hours early read more

Purchased a buffet and several months later, one of the doors warped. A repairman came out and indicated that a new door was needed. 5 months later the door arrived at the store. I made an appointment for 12-13-25@ 12:45 - 2:45 pm. By 3 pm. no one had arrived or called to update me. I left a note on my front door indicating that I was not available for the rest of the day. IT SEEMS that even a furniture store thinks that it's okay to be unprofessional, as long as you have a lame excuse for your actions. Note: smart phones have alarms clocks. Set the alarm for 30 minutes prior to the alarm, and update your customers. Solution seems simple, and customers will think you're smarter than you really are.. read more

Terrible customer service. We bought a couch from here and we were told that we were adding a warranty (we got it because we were having our first kid and were told it would cover stains). Fast forward to now we are told it was never added onto our purchase. Spoke with Sara in warranties and she basically told us we're out of luck and should have gotten it in writing. She offered no help and was really condescending in the fact that I trusted the sales person that told us it was going to be added. Pretty crappy customer service especially for such a big company. Bought a recliner Aug 2023. Come December 2024, the spring completely snapped. Customer service hung up on me, but called me back. Unfortunately, the extended warranty only covers tears or stains. The quality is awful. Customer service is worse. Another overpriced furniture store. We are not large people, and my children are grown so we're not rough on our furniture. 1 year manufacturer warranty on a fairly expensive recliner. I will not be going back. Beautiful new building and location in Layton, UT. One exit North of the Layton Hills Mall. RC Willey is a staple of furniture stores throughout Utah and the area. They have closed their old Syracuse location and moved to this nice new building in downtown Layton. Two stories tall with nice water features inside. The showrooms and displays have been expanded to give you more room to walk through and look at their offerings. Living room, dining room and bedroom areas downstairs and electronics, appliances and outdoor options are upstairs. The cashier is centrally located and it appears they have a small cafe that will likely serve drinks and small bites once it opens. I made a small purchase during this visit and it went as smooth as could be with my salesman being very nice and efficient. This is a follow up to my review over a month ago. After several replacement attempts with subpar replacement pieces, my sectional couch is more or less complete (cheese cloth on armless love seat remains torn...RC Willey has agreed to give me a credit for this, though not actualized yet. After a very long lead time RC Willey has sufficiently replaced my broken Amish made table and the 3 chairs with screws protruding through the seats. I will give credit to my sales associate and his manager for helping me get as close to what I paid for. I am giving a better Star rating than previous because of my sales rep and his manager. Purchased a bed for my mother who was in a nursing home. I needed to cancel the order before delivery as the bed was no longer needed. It's been over a month and still waiting for my debit card to be credited for the cancelled purchase. Multiple times of calling customer care have resulted in nothing so far. Latest Update: RC Willey sent someone to my home to check on the issues with the furniture. They confirmed the problems and offered me to either pick out totally new furniture for the same amount, or to have the same kind replaced. I went to the store and didn't find anything I liked better than what I had already picked, so I had them deliver new ones. I went ahead and put a polyurethane coat on the top of my table as soon as it was delivered to avoid any of the same chipping issues, and I had to send the entertainment center back again - it was in worse shape than the one I already have! This was very surprising to me. RC Willey should definitely look into who they are purchasing this particular brand of furniture from because it is very poor quality. All in all, though, I appreciate the customer service and their willingness to try and fix the issues for me. I was even happy enough to buy a new large sectional leather couch when I went in last time. I will continue to be a happy customer of RC Willey (though I will be more cautious and inspect more closely, as I suggest we all do at every store)! read more

Up front, using my check-in information as the opening of my review. First time here and they have a lot of really nice stuff here but I absolutely HATE being stalked by sales reps. There's a gauntlet of them to get past inside the main entry, each offering their assistance and wanting to know exactly everything you're looking for. Thereafter, I didn't get more than about 5 minutes of unmolested browsing. I just want to walk around and look for whatever I want to purchase without your sales reps humping my leg. I thought Ashley Furniture was the worst, they seem to have gone out of business. Not surprised as they appear to follow the same business model as RC Willey. Like 5 sales reps and 2 managers and 1 upper manager for every single customer. No suprise that that a $250 chair is priced at $800. For every sale there are 6 middle men receiving a sales commission. I don't know that to be a fact but the mark-up is ridiculous. So - to the RC Willey management - you already are well aware this is a calculated risk but just know the majority of us just want to shop and otherwise be left alone. Today your guy was stalking us and it was hilarious that wherever we happened to be, regardless of the location in this HUGE store, there he was. It was creepy to be honest. I spent $12k on what appeared to be some very nice furniture back in May 2024. Some of the furniture was custom and took 3 months to get (Amish Table and chairs...understandable). The other furniture was delivered to my house. The TV stand was improperly put together and missing screws. Half of the pieces of the very expensive couch were damaged and had to be returned. Here we are in November 2024, and RC Willey has been back several times with replacement couch pieces and it still isn't right. My Amish made table is a different story. The RC Willey loading crew dropped my table top cracking one corner badly, and over drove at least one screw in three of the chair seats. Here we are, over six months later, and I am still waiting for the replacement tables and chairs. I am very dissatisfied with RC Willey. read more

I don't think it is possible we bought a bed. They told us that they would deliver it and they did not say it was on back order then they told us a date For when they're gonna bring it, the first one was canceled. The second one was canceled. The third one showed up at my Home there was someone here waiting for them. They sent me a message saying they'd be there in 20 minutes. Someone was here he checked three times every 20 minutes they told us that they even knocked on the door. The person that was at home, waiting for them to show up never heard a knock if I could give the store zero stars I would! Shitty customer service shitty delivery also while I'm on the topic all of their wood There's three Middle men one it comes from China two it's shitty three they don't make their own furniture and I know I know someone that bought furniture made out of wood if you want top-of-the-line furniture at a reasonable price I would suggest you go to Ashley furniture they make all of their furniture. I bought a Gray Leather Power Lift Recliner with Heat SKU: 111894816 Order 45877643 on 6/25/21 it is suppose to have a 3 year warranty I have been waiting on a part since March and today I get a text that the ETA to have repaired is Oct. What started out as a great experience quickly turned into a nightmare the further up the chain I got. The salesmen have been wonderful to work with and have been very apologetic for the errors that were made in my project. The same cannot be said for the Flooring Sales & Installation Manager, Jason Neese, or the general store manager Dan Walker. For context, RC Willey sold me a product and contracted to complete a stair installation in hard surface. When the installers came to complete the project, they informed us that RC Willey gave us the wrong product and we would need to have the correct stair noses in order for them to finish the stairs. Come to find out, the LVP brand that was sold to us does not make the stair noses that we need. Our project has now been pushed out causing other projects (railing and painting) to also be delayed. This has caused significant hardship for my family as we are now unable to move into our new home until the new month. We had to find living arrangements and pay an additional $1200 in rent all because RC Willey was unable to complete our project in the expected timeline. In speaking with Jason Neese, I was told that RC Willey had no fault in this issue. He informed me that this was only happening because of the preferences that my husband and I had for our stairs. When I refuted that statement, he told me it was happening because my husband and I incorrectly installed the LVP in the room connecting to the stairs. This is also an incorrect statement. Jason backed down when I suggested that we could remove and reinstall the LVP in the "correct" way. The contractors informed us that even if they had installed the LVP themselves, we still would have run into this same issue due to having the incorrect stair nose parts. Jason refused to take any accountability, but offered a measly $100 credit. My conversation with the general manager, Dan Walker, was not much different. He condescendingly questioned my ability to live in the home despite the hazardous environment (I have an infant and unfinished stairs.) He also refused any accountability. I will not be using RC Willey ever again and would never recommend them for flooring or anything else for that matter after learning about how Dan conducts his business. You'll be better off paying a little extra money to have a small business that care about customer experience and actually work tirelessly to ensure customer satisfaction. We are now out $1100 and will have mismatched stairs because their solution is to utilize a different product for the stair nose. read more

Buyer Beware. I purchased a sofa set and the springs came out after a couple of months. I was told that they would send someone out inspect the sofa. Nothing happened for weeks. I went to the store and was greeted by a hungry commissioned sales person. He gave me full credit on the sofa set and 'upgraded me into a set that was 3 times more expensive and sold me the leather protection which was good for 5yrs" In less than 22 months the leather on the seat was fading. Again, I go to the store and waited only 2 weeks for someone to show up and take pictures. After another week I get an email explaining that the sofa has 'color loss' which is not covered under warranty. So, they sell you cheap junk, a warranty that covers very few specific possibilities. After I read their email I researched why leather suffers 'color loss' If this is happening to your sofa, then to put it simply: it is poor quality leather. When a leather is coated with a coloured paint or varnish, either by a roller or by glueing a coloured foil on top, after a few years (sometimes less) of use, you will likely find that this layer either wears away or peels off. Despite the east financing save your hard earned money and go elsewhere. read more

Over the last 4 years I have spent between 50-100K with RC Willy. After purchasing a Sony TV for over 4 thousand dollars it quit working right at the two year mark. RC Willy told me sorry you didn't buy the extended warranty. Customer service at its worst. The customer can spend thousands with this company and it wont back the products that they sell. A 4 thousand dollar TV should last more than two years and a company should support loyal customers. Take your briskness elsewhere like I will be. Loyal customers who don't receive loyalty in return shop at better providers. read more

We tried for quite a while to find a salesman to help us look at tv's, which surprised me. It used to be that as soon as you walked in the store, people were asking how they could help. We were debating between the tv in the mailer, or a display model which had more features for the same price. We decided on the display model, but my husband was mad that because it was a display model, we couldn't use the $50 coupon in the mailer we had. We are enjoying our new tv however. read more

I had an 830-1030 delivery confirmation. the Guys came at 730. I raced home after dropping my son off and raced back with my baby and they had left. paid for assembly and delivery- they wanted to leave the item by garage. They came early because they had time and said basically tough luck. they came one hour earlier than confirmed and said too bad. I'm going to try and cancel my purchase i am appalled at how they treated me. When this store first opened they were spot on with customer service, however they have gotten to the point that the whole company is a joke! In the past 6 months we have spent $20,000 furnishing 2 houses and it has gotten to the point that they think they can take advantage of people. I have canceled plans on 4 separate occasions and ruined my entire day due to promised delivery dates and times for a mattress! These dates have been made by the salesperson then confirmed by customer service, just to have the tell me, after I called them at the end of the delivery window, that it would not be delivered today. On the stuff that has been delivered the delivery people are rude and treat yiu new furniture as if it were purchased used from off the side of the road. If you are going to buy ANY home furnishings, don't go to RC Willey! read more

They sale CHEAP Chinese furniture at an expensive price. Purchased a living room set (couch, love seat and chair (all recliners)) within a little over a year the loveseat started to breakdown and the color rubbed off on the arm rest. We spent over $5000 for this set. So it was NOT cheap. Also there are only two of us - so love seat is all we use. We called RC Willeys to complain. They sent a service tech to our home in December. The tech wrote up a ticket to for repair. Said it would be January before the parts would be here. Well here it is April and not a word from RC Willeys. Great customer service right??? The love seat is no longer usable. So I guess it's on to using the couch and chair so those can break down as well. Grrrr. Guess it's time to make ANOTHER call to them. read more

Want to spend a bunch of money and be left feeling sad, with defected items, and a damaged home from their lack of care... then this is your place!! My husband and I purchased what we believed was the perfect table and buffet for our home, only to be soon disappointed. When their truck arrived with our items and 2 team members were at my door one of them commented on their dislike of my home (not realizing there's a ring camera) then when they moved the items into my home I was blessed with: 1- hole in my wall, 2- a dent in my brand new railing, 3- a dented in front door, and 4- they were kind enough to drag the table top over the metal plate cover at the door and scrape off all the paint of the table. Sounds awesome right? I spoke with their manager to discuss how unprofessional and insane this ordeal was. He "wanted to make me happy" so they ordered a new tabletop for me. I was promised an insurance claim would be filed to Help with the damage to my home. Boy was I wrong for believing that. The new tabletop was eventually delivered and they told me they didn't know about the insurance claim and to just wait. So I did. Then less than 6 months after having our table and buffet, it started to turn yellow. Someone came out and looked at the items and explained they were defective and the yellow was the glue coming out after not being sealed correctly. I then received notice that they were going to credit my account and I could select a new table as this one is no longer in stock. So essentially I have to pick out a new table and buffet, allow them to come Back into my home, remove the old table, and put the new one in? Yeah sounds great. Please come Back and damage some more stuff for me... all while I still have NOT been compensated for the damage to my home! We went in and asked if we could just have a credit to buy a stupid speaker for our tv and use the credit as we do not trust them to come back into our home. I was told I could get almost half of the credit to use in store for the speaker. The customer service rep that helped me was great and he actually seemed to care. He however called me the next day to inform me his manager said we could get less than a quarter of our credit to use for the speaker.... I again explained that I am not only dealing with a defective POS table and buffet, but the damages were never paid for and we had to fix them on our own dime. So thank you RC Willey for continuing to disappoint, being sketchy with your promises, and for not caring about your customers. I advise everyone to find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money, these guys do not deserve your business. read more

I am not a big fan of RC Willey overall, but I've bought a few pieces of furniture there over the years. I'm disappointed they closed out the Riverdale store just after John Paras closed. That leaves Sparrow's in Roy as the only furniture store left in Weber County (not counting rent to own or Big Lots, Costco in season and such). This was my first trip to the Mega Store in Layton. I was pleased to see they are north of Antelope so I was able to get there from Highway 193 (700 S in Clearfield), turn down by WSU Satellite school and sneak in from the back side. Going to Layton is definitely a disincentive for any reason due to the horrid traffic in that city. That being said, the main draw for me that makes it pleasant is that I always request and buy through Cherie Yoder. She's a delight to work with. She inquires as to what the main features are that you must have or want and takes the time for you to find the best suited furniture for your needs. read more

This was resolved when RC Willey customer service reached out. They reviewed the picture that the driver took following the installation and lo and behold the driver was obstructing the exact part of the door that had been dented (what a coincidence). We provided our own picture and the door was replaced. I'm pleased that they fixed the issue but beware of unscrupulous drivers. If your delivery is damaged don't expect the driver to file the report for you. Follow-up immediately and send your own pics. read more

Delivery team arrived early with my washing machine on the scheduled delivery date with only half hour notice and reported a failed delivery attempt. They refused to deliver my appliance within the window. I was disconnected on my third stretch on hold that day before I could reschedule and customer service made no attempt to contact me. When I calked back there were above average wait times. I calked Friday to return the machine and they tefused to take it back because "it was still on the truck". The agent said he'd call me the next day when he git into work at noon and he could return it then. I pointed out that the appliance was in thier possesion, that it didn't matter to me who accepted the return and that I wanted my account credited right away. I was teansforred to another agent who claimed to be a manager and that she had already credited my account. It is now end of buisiness, Monday, with no credit made to my account, no attempt to contact me about any problem, and no response to the complaint I filed. Feels a bit like dishonesty and mischief at worst, neglegence at best. read more
