*Update addendum 08/07/2023* I am choosing to update my review and give it a 5 star because Gordon deserves a 5 star review and the manager, Lane, took the time to reach out to me and talk about the experience, he was very professional and kind, didn't make excuses for what happened to us, apologized profusely, is going to work with J to hopefully get some better sales tactics, and overall I felt heard and that he takes pride in having great employees like Gordon, and helping the not so great employees to either become great, or become employed elsewhere, I will continue to use RC Willey for all my furniture needs. Written on experience of 08/05/2023 Im giving this review a one star I had the ABSOLUTE WORST experience with a salesperson I've ever had, I don't think this guy wanted to make a sale at all... we will call the salesperson J, J is the WORST salesperson I've ever had the displeasure of working with. He was rude, insulted us, and then tried to pressure us to spend more money. Idk what kind of B.S. sales tactics that dude picked up in his "many many years in the business" but as someone who has worked in various sales jobs, this man has no business even selling water bottles on the side of the road during a 4th of July parade in Death Valley. He sucks. He repeatedly told me I didn't know how to buy a mattress because I wasn't willing to pay for a memory foam one. He was rude to my wife, lied to her telling her she couldn't get some chairs she liked (luckily another salesperson, Gordon, who must be top salesperson cause he doesn't talk to people rudely, got us the chairs that J claimed were out of stock) Not only that, I get it my wife and I are young, we are in our early 20's I'm sure J thinks he can get away with the insults and the pressure, but he was repeatedly rude to my father and mother who are long time RC Willey customers. I would have said to Hell with RC Willey all together for employing such a terrible salesperson like J, luckily as we left the interaction with J we were met by Gordon who treated us like customers spending any amount of money ought to be treated, he was informative and nice and helped us select some items that went nicely together for our apartment. Then J had the audacity to come up while we were checking out with Gordon and trying to say something to us insinuating Gordon stole us. No J your lack of professionalism and common decency drove us away, right into Gordon's arms, I'm glad Gordon made some sales that day and I hope J never sells another piece of furniture for R C Willey or any other store ever. read more

In April 2019, I proudly brought home this Icelandic White Leather-Match Power Living Room Set from RC Willey. She was sleek. She was classy. She was giving Scandinavian luxury vibes. Fast forward a few years, and now she's giving... discount haunted house furniture. I recently asked an RC Willey salesman to look up my purchase so I wouldn't accidentally repeat history. He goes, "Oh that set? I've had mine for 30 years--it still looks amazing!" Sir. SIR. Either you bought a different galaxy version or you have a secret pact with your furniture. Another furniture pro finally gave me the tea: there are two ways to finish leather--staining (which sinks into the leather) and painting (which peels off like a bad spray tan). Guess which one mine is? Go ahead, I'll wait. Yep. I came home, wiped it with a cleaning rag, and watched white flecks come off like it was auditioning for The Walking Dead: Couch Edition. My husband and I have been coming to this RC Willey for years and there is ALWAYS and issue with payment or delivery. Two years ago we ordered a recliner and couch. We got the recliner 2 weeks later but after a month the couch never came. We called and asked where our couch was, they said it would be delivered in 2 weeks. We waited 3 months and then finally told them to cancel the order and refund us our money. We went in back in November and ordered a dryer. We paid a $600 down payment and had the rest put down on our store credit card. We were told we would recieve a call to set up delivery. We waited a week and never got a call. We went back in and they said "we never ordered it, you didn't finish paying." Because the woman at the desk told us she had placed the remaining balance on our store card, even gave us a reciept, but apparently never actually charged our card. We ended up buying the part to fix our old dryer. Despite all of our horrible past experiences, we decided to give it another chance because we unexpectedly and desperately needed a new washer and dryer when our dryer once again went out. We went in this past Monday (Feb 17th) and bought a $3k washer and dryer set. We paid $1100 cash upfront and put the rest on the card. The woman at the front desk was impatient and rude, upset because she had to count out the cash and have a second employee double check. The bills were 100s, 50s, 20s, and a few 10s and 5s. We didnt even give or ask her to take the other $150 we had in ones because we didnt want to make it difficult for her. It was extremely rude for her to say "You're not going to pay with all of that cash are you? You're not going to make me count all of that out, right?" We literally took our entire savings out of our safe the same night our current washer and dryer broke to go in and order new ones. The banks were already closed, so no we didn't go and exchange everything for bigger bills. Cash is legal tendor. Its literally your job to accept payments. We then set up delivery for today (Feb 21st.) We were told the dryer may not come until a later date, but we were guarunteed that the washer would be delivered Friday February 21st because, and I quote, they "had it in stock and available right now." Delivery came today, they had the dryer but not our washer. We called and asked where the washer was and we were told the soonest it could be delivered would be March 5th, 12 days after we were originally told it would be delivered. Turns out "in stock and available now" doesn't actually mean in stock and available now. I guess I just don't understand why there's always some sort of issue with every single purchase. It's not only frustrating, but also very inconvenient and disappointing. So my best advice, if you purchase anything from this RC Willey, triple check billing, set up delivery before leaving the store, and automatically assume that not all of your items will be delivered together and that your delivery will take a minimum of 1.5-2 weeks longer than stated. read more

2 1/2 years ago we purchased a reclining couch. In August we were having a problem with it. I contacted customer service and someone came to look at it on sept 4th. He said he had to order some parts. We heard nothing so on oct1st I called to see what was up. I was told the parts department needed to order the parts. The clerk said she would email the parts department. Well today we get a text saying it will be 90 days for the parts to get in. Why weren't the parts ordered a month ago. Now we have s couch where we cannot use half of it out of commission for 3 months. If the parts department would have been on the ball we would only be out for 2 more months. Very frustrating that a multi million dollar company does not have a decent system in place to order parts when the service rep turns in his paperwork. We had a seriously awful experience here. We bought a dishwasher online, and never got a confirmation email or any kind of contact except an email encouraging us to buy more stuff, but our credit card was charged, so we gave it a week. The dishwasher showed up, delivery guy was super nice, but we opened the box and the dishwasher was crazy dented and damaged, although the box was looked fine. After jumping through a bunch of hoops to get an exchange (due to no confirmation email) we got a text saying a new machine would be delivered one day (this is like 3 weeks post-credit card charge). They took away the dented machine and a new one was delivered, but water was gushing out of the box as it was brought in (I'm guessing they tested it, which is nice, but it was lots of water) and then as we assembled it there were missing parts, and, again, customer service is incredibly elusive and not helpful. We had bought some furniture here a few years ago and had a fine experience then, but this purchase has been nothing but a headache, I'm not sure what's changed but I would encourage you to shop elsewhere. read more

The employees are so kind, especially Josh Skousen! He made sure we got the best deal possible. We purchased an LG refrigerator and love it. It was so great to see the selection in person because I ended up liking a different one more than the one I thought I loved online. Once I saw it in person, it was a done deal. It was also nice to not get a lot of pressure from the sales team, but they kind input was greatly appreciated. read more

Very very dishonest. Was walking around a while in clearance and no salesmen spoke to me. When he finally did he was rude so I went through the customer service desk and purchased the item. 15 minutes later the item "disappears" and was told they would only refund the money. They would not give me a discount or help find another item. Full heartedly believe it's in the warehouse sitting there and not actually purchased. Either way they should have made the situation right. We have purchased several bedroom sets from there previously and had some pretty negative encounters there as well. We are building a new home in a new community. Will gladly advise others to look elsewhere. The poor customer service, attitude, and salesmen atmosphere is not worth the Pennie's you could potentially save here. If you need furniture/appliances/etc. please head this caution. Do not ever purchase the extended warranty on any appliance at RCWilley!!! It is a rip off. I have a dryer that takes 2 hours to dry a load of laundry and yet their technicians never find anything wrong with the dryer!! Complete bullshit! I have pictures and videos to prove how long it takes. They have been out here 3 times and today I was told that they will no longer send a technician! What kind of BS is that!!! We ordered a sofa bar table on line and loved it as well as customer service and delivery. A couple months later went in to roseville store and ordered entertainment center. It had two side piers and the right one would be delivered separately as it was back ordered. When they did deliver the right pier, tv stand and hutch the shelf was missing said they would bring when right pier delivered Middle of december. I called around december 15 they said end of month. They delivered the right pier January 5 but no shelf for hutch and then the right pier was minus the glass shelf and the light didn't work. I called our sales person and she apologized and said they would deliver an entire new unit within 5 days, which they did and we are entirely pleased with the unit! I'll try to keep this review factual and keep the emotion out of it so that anyone wanting to purchase anything from RC Willey will have the information they need first before buying. We purchased a new LG washer and dryer, a refrigerator, and a sofa for our new home. We moved into our new home and were able to coordinate the fridge and washer/dryer delivery for the same day. The delivery team arrived 30 minutes after we stepped into our new home for the first time. They did not come with booties or blankets and said it was against company policy to remove their shoes. While they unloaded the washer and dryer from the truck, we laid down plastic on the new carpet. Their muddy shoes (from the snow and dirt outside) tracked in footprints on the brand new carpet. My family and I followed behind them sopping up the mud from the carpet as they carried the appliances through the house. Their muddy prints under the newly placed and very heavy new appliances. When we questioned them they told us they'd send a carpet cleaning company out to fix the mistake. Now...they need to bring in the fridge. It was too wide for the door so they took of the door breaking one of the pins to our brand new door, denting the door frame, and then denting the frame at each pin to try to place the door back on. As I watched them unload the fridge from the truck, they slid it off the side of the truck scrapping the coils and lines off the back before it hit the road with a massive thud. 15 minutes later, he told me the fridge came damaged and that he'd be happy to still bring it in as long as we knew the water and ice wouldn't work. NOPE! We wanted a new fridge. Two days later, a new fridge was delivered...without working handles because the screws were stripped. He left it and said he'd order new screws. The next day the screws that he'd had temporarily in place came undone and the handles did a 360 around the face of the fridge and scratched the entire face of our brand new fridge. We're currently waiting on fridge #3 to come while we have this scratched, dented, and loud sounding fridge. After calling customer service to discuss what we'd had happen...we found out no insurance claim had been made to clean the carpets or replace the screws. So I took care of that only to get an email stating that they wouldn't clean the carpet without photos. We didn't take photos of brand new carpet with mud on it because we wanted to CLEAN IT UP SO IT WOULDN'T STAIN!!!! They will not clean the carpets, we have no official delivery date for the third fridge, and we're waiting on a couch that was supposed to be here this morning...and is on the truck that we received multiple conformations for...only to be told (when we called three hours after the deliver window) that there had been a mistake and it wouldn't be coming today. It sucks that we're furnishing an entire basement kitchen, living room, guest bedroom, kitchen and we'd planned to use RC Willey and the one year delivery fee to make this all happen...because we've decided that as "convenient" and as "tantalizing" as their store/furniture/ads/promotions are...that the hassle wasn't worth anything and we'd prefer to pay more, get more, and be treated better. I see a social media manager responding to these reviews trying to look helpful. But the hassle spent trying to contact anyone that cares is not worth my time and energy and we were kind and understanding throughout all of this and never once received the type of respect back that we gave to everyone we talked to. For a company with such a big presence in Utah, I'd expect so much more. read more

We had a sectional first, an expensive one. They told us that they were sturdy and several seats broke from someone just sitting on them. We replaced it with some "upscale" leather couches that were supposed to be analine dye and not fade, crack etc. When we took just a wash cloth with water on them to clean up some sticky stuff the color came right off!! $4000 down the drain! Had these couches for a few years and they look like we've had them for 15! Two horrible quality experiences on expensive product. read more

Really disappointed in the customer service at this location today. My mom and I came in to pick out some new flooring for our house and found our way to the flooring department. We looked around and found some wood-looking laminate that would have been perfect, except for the fact that not a single associate approached us to provide help. We looked around to try and find someone and there was not one in sight. Eventually we found an older lady sitting at her desk with a bag of food in her lap snacking a way. She looked at us, made eye contact with me and then continued to snack on her food. She then proceeded to pull out her cell phone, on which we could see she was texting someone... We left empty handed after about 30 minutes of trying to find some help... we have decided to take our business elsewhere after receiving no help. I decided to stay home and place my order during the covid. I was also going through cancer treatment and spent a lot of time picking out what I wanted. I finally found a grey barnyard TV stand. I had to place the order on line and it was delivered federal express. I was never told the day it would be delivered and it was left outside my home all day. When I got home it took everything I had to bring it into my house. I paid someone to put it together for me and was so excited to have it put together. As we were installing it there were several parts missing. There was only 1 hinge out of 4. A number of the bolts and nails were not in there. There was a magnet that was installed on the door so it could be pushed opened, they were missing. I was extremely upset considering it was way to heavy for me to take back to the store. We went through all the boxes and osiers several times making sure we hadn't overlooked them. Do I know have a 270 tv stand sitting in my house I can't do anything with. What a joke. I purchased an extended warranty for a washer. The washer started making bizarre noise and then stopped working. I have now been with out a washer for 3 weeks, and RC Willey will only give me a $60.00 credit towards purchasing a new one. The company that came out to look at the washer, from ASI, the tech spent 3 minutes total, didn't even look at the washer, said it was not worth repair. So a 2nd opinion was scheduled and they wouldn't be able to look at it for another 2 weeks. Then they still have to get approval from RC Willey to fix it, order the parts then come back and fix it. So I would be out a washer for over 8 weeks maybe even longer. I am tired of the poor customer service that I have received lately from RC Willey. I don't think I will ever come back. Their prices are the same as other locations, their customer service is the same, nothing makes me want to shop with RC Willey. I can get the same financing options with other stores. I honestly wouldn't recommend RC Willey to anyone. read more

I have purchased so much furniture from them it is not funny. I purchased a couch from Orem ( note I have probably purchased 6 or so sofas and probably 8 king beds). The couch we purchased about a year and a half ago started ripping within a month. There were only two people living in the house ( no children). They came out and stitched it up in 3 places. All of them re-ripped within a week or so. We then asked for the same couch but a different fabric. We did not buy the cheap couch, it was a fairly expensive couch. They declined our request for new couch with different material. After that they brought out the covers that were ripped ( basically near the seam) and put new covers on. Within one month they ripped again ( two or three places). Note nobody in the house is that big. About the only time we used the couch is in the evening. Note, my daughter and son in law use this house while going to college. YES THE STORY CONTINUES! Now it's about a number of months later and they came out and brought some spare covers and said if it Ripp's again put the spares on. Wow, really? They only gave us one spare and almost every sectional pad had rips. We called them again and we said it is clearly a fabric issue. This time it was a new person and they said they have a new boss and getting us a new couch with a different fabric should not be an issue. Note he again replaced the covers and now ALL are ripped on both sides! Yes this is within about one and a half years. Wow tiring. Note again the other stuff we purchased has been ok. Do not walk, run away from this store. Doesn't want to make an effort to provide customer service, 14 minutes wS too long for them over the phone to hear my side of the interaction with store sales person and their manager when I placed my order for electronics. A lot of good stuff I like. A lot of stuff I don't. Still a pretty class operation. It's no surprise Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway bought it. This place is where a lot of people got their first credit. It is the largest lender in the State. They have plans to let you pay over quite a while without interest. Just make sure you follow the rules. Otherwise, you'll pay a lot of interest. I've purchased a great office set of furniture. A fantastic large curio cabinet. A large screen TV. A Bed 25 years ago I just replaced this month and a computer desk for downstairs I got today. I don't like that every sofa and chair is over stuffed. We have had nothing but issues with our Whirpool Refrigerator. It has completely shut down three times loosing our frozen food completely. RC Willey will not replace it but insists on sending a repair man out again. The last time it took 3 weeks to repair. Their extended warrantee is worthless as we have no faith is their repairs. read more

WARNING WARNING WARNING!!! Don't ever buy a warranty from RC Willey. Total scam. We paid almost two hundred extra dollars on a warranty for our wash machine and we've had SIX maintenance men come out to fix it and apparently it's unfixable because I still have a broken washer after three months! The warranty says they'll give you a new machine, but oh no they won't! They'll just keep on sending the repair men out over and over again until you want to blow your brains out. With my last heated conversation with the RC Willey warranty people, I realized it was a scam. Word for word she said, "They've never had a repair man not be able to fix the problem." Are you kidding me! People just give up and buy a new one, which is their plan all along. There is a special place for companies like this. I will never again buy anything from RC WILLEY! It's a completely dishonest company. Okay, I have to add more to this review now. As of this morning we have had SEVEN maintenance men at our house to try to fix our wash machine problem. Let me say it again, SEVEN maintenance men. They now THINK they've found the problem and are going to try to fix it AGAIN. So in the meantime we will still have a broken washer for who knows how long! (It won't spin the water out and takes three dryings in the dryer) I'm telling you people, RC Willey will never replace your appliances if they can't be fixed. (UPDATE: They did give us a replacement after the seventh maintenance man.) They reached out to me to here on Yelp to try to fix this, but this isn't something that can be fixed unless they change their company policies. So done. UPDATE: After seven maintenance men RC Willey FINALLY replaced our washer! I don't know what changed their minds about trying to fix it again, but they did thank the good lord. Cody and Corbin (I hope I spelled those correctly) were a phenomenal duo of delivery gentlemen. They took the utmost care around every corner and with the stacking in the elevator. I helped bring a couple things up the stairs and held the elevator door while they loaded and unloaded. Each and every time one of them replied with "thank you sir" It was a great experience to have the "A-Team" delivering my furniture today. My wife and I went into the Orem location to buy a mattress, washer and dryer, and a fridge for our new home under construction. I ran into a salesman ( Joe) in the appliance dept. Joe is there to make a sale and out for himself. After we dealt with him, we went looking for a mattress. We then met a VERY knowledgeable Kari who was the opposite of Joe. Very helpfull. RC Willey has great products and an big selection. Your customer experience depends greatly on who your sales person is. read more

September 2020 we purchased furniture from RC Willey, including a Toffee colored leather sofa and loveseat. They said they didn't have anymore in stock so we purchased the floor models at a discount. That was a big mistake because there is no warranty on floor models. When the furniture was delivered the sofa was missing the four middle feet, which we did not discover until after our two sons, both over 6 feet and 200 lbs, sat on the sofa and the frame bent. When the sofa was reclined we saw that both the left and the right foot rests slanted down towards the middle. When we inspected them we saw the the metal mechanics for the footrests were bent and one was broken in half. There was no way we could have seen that in the store as the sofa was not plugged in and the electronic footrests would not lift up. We complained to Customer service and a repairman came out but he brought the wrong feet, and they wouldn't fit, and he didn't have the replacement parts for the foot rests. It I has been 7 months since we purchased the sofa and loveseat and the feet and replacement parts still have not arrived. They keep telling me they might be in the next shipment. Although I was told they didn't have anymore of that furniture in stock when I was walking through the clearance section a few weeks later I saw the same sofa. I asked if I could trade my damaged sofa for the one in clearance and was told no. I asked for the feet from the clearance sofa and was told no. I shall never buy another clearance item from RC Willey! read more

Here's a pros and cons list Pros Good prices and selection The cleaning service we bought when we got our couch worked well (it got the dog piss smell out of our couch) The cleaning service was fairly prompt and DID WORK. Cons The woman I talked to on the phone said the cleaning service was ONLY for stains (which got me upset because our couches are practically black so I thought RC willey ripped us off) but the smell did come out so maybe the woman on the phone was wrong(???) People that answer the phones at RC Willey have no idea what they are talking about The last review I posted someone from RC Willey left a comment saying how they would resolve my complaints, I emailed that person, they said they would hand it off to the right person and I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE (which makes me think they only left the comment on my review to look like they care when they really don't) All in all, I am not UNhappy with my experience of RC Willey but I won't be shopping there again. read more

My fiancée and I walked in to get some ideas for things for our registry and were absolutely bombarded by sales associates. We had one sales rep following us throughout the store - to the point to where it was creepy and he was making it seem like he wasn't following us. We were so creeped out by this that we will never walk into an RC Wiley again. We need a mattress, but they will not be getting our business. read more
