I emailed them and got no response. When I called, I reached someone who repeatedly said, "I only work in the showroom," but was able to check the order and told me, "It hasn't been processed yet" (read: nobody even looked at it for ten days). When I asked to be connected to the right department, I was told that person was "out of town." But the showroom person was able to cancel the order. Thankfully, this was a small purchase and not a critical part of my home remodeling project--but that's beside the point. Tip for Lighting Specialists in Utah: If you accept people's orders and money online, be prepared to process or respond to those orders within a couple of days--not 10 or more. I hope I just had a rare situation this time My bedroom celing fan had an integral part go bad. I had no light, no fan, nothing. I identified the problem part and we sought a replacement at Lighting Specialists. They took our money and said the part would be in around two weeks. A little over two weeks later we call asking about the status of our replacement part. Turns out they just charged us and never placed the order. No part was on its way for over two weeks. They said they were sorry and would order the part for real this time. Said it would be a couple weeks. This is when I got a bit angry and explained I had no light in my bedroom and why, since this was your mistake you couldn't overnight the part. Another week and a half later the part came in. Went to go pick it up and they wanted to charge us again, saying we didn't pay the first time. Another mistake on thier part. Finally a month later we are up and going again. I may have to look elsewhere for my next purchase.

We confirmed and they committed. Because of this, we didn't look into other options. My husband has consistently followed-up 3-4 times since they reached out in October so we could see when we'd be on the schedule. Today, I'm sure because of my husband's follow-up, we received an email saying they won't be able to install this year due to staffing issues. I understand staffing issues and they are Christmas lights- not the end of the world- I'm disappointed about the lack of communication and the fact they waited too long to tell us. I'm convinced they only told us because my husband kept reaching out. There is no way I can find someone now that it's the middle of November. I believe in excellent customer service and effective communication- this situation failed in both areas.
