I chose the Hansen team due to local reputation (Elwood) and word-of-mouth recommendation. I was VERY PLEASED! I first contacted them via email, with a list of "must haves" and "wants". Their was a response (with properties) was within hours, with an understanding that my list was contradictory. Cindy Hansen recommended a short list, containing 1 property that we overlooked. She took me to a few houses. She then exercised extreme patience and sister-like opinions while I narrowed down our options. Our first choice did not work out, thankfully, because of tricky contracting (Cindy disclosed). The house we purchased is the one we overlooked, a dream, that the Hansens found for us. They also recommended an inspector and attorney, making this a one-stop shop. I was astounded at how fast and professional they were, that they kept contact whilst on vacation, and how easy it was to negotiate through them. Lee really made our closing fast and peaceful.

My wife called David this morning at 10:59 a.m. to schedule an appointment-showing to see one of his listings at 601 E. 4th Ave., New Lenox, IL. David said he was booked all weekend and would be available on Monday or Tuesday to show the house. My wife told David either Monday or Tuesday was fine. David said he was driving and when he got out of his car he would look at his calendar and reach out to my wife to let her know whether it would be Monday or Tuesday to show us the house and the time he was available for the showing. Per David's request, my wife texted him our names and the property address. David never bothered to extend my wife the courtesy of a return call or text message. Since David never bothered to call us back, as he represented he would do, at 7:46 pm this evening, I called David and when he answered, I gave him my name and politely asked him if if I "was catching him at bad time" and David emphatically and rudely responded "yes you are" and proceeded to be extremely confrontational. It clearly sounded like David was in a loud bar. This is a most unprofessional conduct and response by a realtor who is trying to sell a house for a client. I explained to David that he promised to call or text my wife back re scheduling us to see this property on Monday or Tuesday. David said you're calling me on Friday evening. I said to David I'm calling you in the evening because you represented you would call or text my wife back earlier in the day to schedule a showing and you never called or texted her back. If this was such a bad time for you, David, to take a call, why even answer your phone from a number you clearly don't recognize? David said your wife called me late in the day. First, that's an untrue statement by David, and second it doesn't matter what time she called you during the day as you are realtor and owe your client a fiduciary duty. Great realtors are highly flexible and will often adjust their schedules and field calls in the evening in order to make a sale. Clearly, David, you are not a great realtor. David, you and your client lost a potential sale of the above the property because you couldn't bother to expend 20 seconds to return a call or send a text to schedule a showing and due to your unprofessional conduct, we are no longer interested in doing business with you. David, you completely failed your client, the seller. Your bio states "Buyers can expect an available and accessible agent." Clearly, this representation is nothing but fluff and BS. Your unprofessional conduct was to the detriment of your client (the sellers). You and your client missed an opportunity to sell this house for an all cash deal, no contingencies, close in 30-45 days. If I was in the seller's shoes, I would immediately fire you as the agent. NOT a good impression! A sign was posted for a house going up for sale but was not on the MLS. I…read moresent an email via the general inquiry form on the website. After four days of no response, I grabbed the name of the realtor and called her to inquire about the property. The conversation was polite, but there was ZERO follow up. She offered to show the property either that night or the following day, never heard anything from her, even after I texted stating I would like to see the property. I'm in sales...you don't pass up a lead or business. It's truly unfortunate because I went to another realtor who has been more than happy to accommodate by business. This office lost a seller AND a buyer!
