Twelve years ago, I was leaving a domestic violence situation and had a 2 year old and nine month old. My house was small, but it was cute, clean, and organized. I bought it when I was 25, but 8 years later I was divorcing my husband who had been abusing me, and who was convicted of stalking me. Larry Martin was recommended to me by my church at the time- a church that promoted women being submissive to men. Larry acted so judgmental and pompous. He would roll his eyes, cross his arms, and sigh during interactions with me. He would hold his chin up high and look around the room avoiding eye contact or even looking in my direction. He always seemed busy. He acted like I was taking up his time, like I was a nuisance, like he was better than me. I was always polite and respectful to him. I apologized profusely for asking questions. I never called his office, requested meetings, or took up extra time. I filled out paperwork on time. Yet he acted like I was disgusting. While filling out paperwork to close the property, I was trying not to cry but a few quiet sobs escaped me. He sat stone faced across from me, sighed, and rolled his eyes. There were never any words of comfort, never any condolences, never any prayers. Just displays of annoyance and superiority. I would never recommend Larry Martin to anyone. Even though it's been 12 years, I still see his signs around town and they remind me of how small Larry made me feel. I'm doing great by the way, and own a home worth 5 times what my old home was worth.

I viewed the house before it was done, and was given no opportunity to see it after. Until I picked up the keys, from his residency- later than stated on paperwork. Arrived at the residency to trash still there, the back yard with burnt trash and glass, falling cabniet doors, roaches and no heat for over 24hrs in the winter. They spread rat poison throughout the yard that KILLED my dog. If you rent and have animals, do not trust their store bought pest control they spread everywhere. They admitted to buying it at a store, never a licensed pest control. Another tenant of his is who paints and does everything not even to code. Told me welcome to cock roach city..... Just truly AWFUL people to rent from. Whoever he was before is not at all who he is now that SHE runs the show. Expect nothing less then a band aid and be told to live with flood basement, condemned back yard, no hot water and a landlord who threatens and harassed when you expect him to fix HIS property. My best advice is what we did. Record everything and get out while you can.
