I am one of the business owners of Reach for the Sky Satellite Services and have been for close to 10 years now. We have done thousands of satellite TV and Internet installations in that time and go the extra mile to explain the services to our customers. We have an outstanding reputation for customer service, including an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and have many repeat customers because of this. On occasion, we have had to deal with customers who are irrational and combative. The review from Queenie D that was just posted is one of those customers. Months ago she and her husband ordered TV and Internet service from us. Prior to installation, they decided they wanted to cancel the Internet portion of their order. Since we had already entered both orders in the order entry system portals for the TV and Internet companies, we had to cancel the order through the system, which we did. The refund for what the Internet company had charged this customer when the order was entered was credited back to this customer, although it did take a few days, which is normal. We made Queenie aware that it would take a few business days, and that we had no control over it at that point. We did not charge this customer nor were we the ones who credited her card. We are an independent dealer and all charges to a customer's credit card when an order is put in is done by the companies we sell products for. In the few days it took for the credit to go back to Queenie's card, she stopped by our store and called numerous times screaming at both my husband and me, abruptly hanging up on us each time, even though we had previously explained that credits can take a few days to show up. Her husband ended up calling us and apologizing for her behavior. Today, Queenie and her husband came to our store asking us to move their satellite TV system because they were moving. Contrary to what Queenie says, when she placed her original order we NEVER promised to move her system for free. We would never do this because it is not standard procedure. So, today, when they asked us to move their system for, my husband told Queenie and her husband that they needed to call the satellite TV service provider directly to have it moved, which is standard procedure. They will move you for free but it puts you under a new two-year contract, which also is standard. Queenie was not happy with this answer and immediately became belligerent, screaming at my husband. My husband had to ask her and her husband to leave the store, which at that time, her husband threatened my husband physically. My husband almost had to call the police to get them to leave. This review by Queenie his her throwing a temper tantrum because she did not get her way. For some reason she felt we should move her satellite TV system for free and that she shouldn't have to call the provider like everyone else has to. To resort to calling people childish names is just evidence of the immaturity and irrational behavior that we had to deal with months ago...and also today. This is what people do when they have nothing to substantiate their false claims of mistreatment but want to try to hurt a reputable company anyway. In 10 years of business, the only two people who have posted negative reviews about us were people that we have bent over backwards for but who were unwilling to listen to the facts, choosing to be offend instead. read more
