Before daycare, we had an au pair, but we felt he would benefit more from being around other children. Of all the options we explored, Goddard was by far the best choice. The school is safe, clean, and has plenty of outdoor space for kids to run and play, plus an indoor gym for rainy or very cold days. The staff is passionate about their work, maintains strict teacher-to-child ratios, and follows a curriculum that balances fun with learning. We receive photos throughout the day and a helpful en-of-day report. We've been very happy with all my son's teachers over the years. They've made him feel special, encouraged his growth, and helped him form strong friendships. The children motivate one another in such a positive way. Some people mention that tuition is higher than other schools, but we feel it's worth it for the level of care and education provided. You do need to pack lunch and snacks daily, but that's no different from feeding your child at home-and it ensures they'll eat food they enjoy. Coming from NYC, we were expecting long daycare waitlists, so we reached out six months before his start date. If you need to withdraw your child, many schools have a 30-day opt-out clause - Goddard's opt-out clause is 60 days, and you need to be careful because they are extremely vague and unclear when it comes to money. The teachers seemed entirely disinterested in the families and children, the outdoor space is tiny, and the overall environment did not feel welcoming.

What I say often is that if we didnt 'need' to put our kids into daycare, we still would (at least part time). I attribute my (older) kid's personality, outgoingness, and even her high level of empathy to TLC. You'll hear people describe daycare as handing your kids over to 'strangers'. These caregivers/teachers become family to your child. I feel good every morning knowing that my kids are usually getting a big hug on arrival from a teacher who truly wants the best for them. Your kids will get more attention, more socialization, and have more learning than I think any solo parent could do at home. My 3 year old has more friends than me. The best thing about TLC is the amount of activities they do, to name just a few: Valentines Party, Friendsgiving, Visit form Santa, Visit from police officer, fire fighter, dentist, a petting zoo day, Chinese New Year celebration, Fall festival, dinosaur fossils, yoga, making Challah bread, halloween party and trunk or treat, in the summer water play almost every day. After a few days they said take him home because cries. They told my mom we keep his spot until he is ready. After a couple of months my mom took him back which is today. They said we don't have any spot for him. My mother accepted a job offer but now she can not work because of my little brother. My dad was laid off last week. This will have a big impact financially on a family with four children.

It feels like a family, the children learn, they play, and they go outside often. The daycare has a very natural approach, and we liked that they balanced play with learning. It was just perfect for what we needed. They were open 7-7, and this was a huge help as our work hours changed here and there. Thank you guys. We miss everyone at First Stop Kids!

Since the new ownership, the day care as done a complete 180. The new owner Scott, and the staff are extremely friendly, kind and loving. Both my kids love the staff and the friends they have made at the day care. The center itself has gone through a complete renovation. They use an app which keeps you updated during the day with your child's activities. The teachers and aids are all very friendly and loving. We are so lucky to have both kids that went here. The hours and days opened are extremely helpful to working parents. So is the location! We love first stop kids!

My daughter started school knowing her full alphabet, colors, numbers, reading simple words, basic addition and subtraction and more. The learning style Ms. Regine uses makes learning fun and easy for the children to remember and relate to. Lots of hands on experimenting and activities that kept my daughter interested and engaged. if you are looking for a program that will give your little one a head start in school andn that your child will love, this is it. Almost instantly we all felt very comfortable with her. My husband and I immediately registered our son on the spot and 3 months later we registered our daughter as well. Our son attended until he was 13 and our daughter until she was ten. During those years Regine and her wonderful team provided a safe and comfortable environment that made a huge impact on our children. We are forever grateful for the care and impact it had on their development.
