However, I found some very cool stickers! There is a deal for the sticker: $4.99 each, and buy 4 get 1 free. Cashier is very attentive and helpful. They answered all the questions I had. Went there last week for fishing info and bait. Was greeted by a very helpful young man named Wyatt. He was very knowledgeable and patient while providing information to people who hadn't fished in years. He pointed out appropriate bait and set ups for fishing in the area. He was able to restring two very old reels with new line. When he found out my other half flew helicopters for 52 years he shared his dreams and aspirations. Wyatt is destined to have a really bright future. Kudos to his parents for raising such an awesome son. If you are in Bishop stop by the store and hopefully Wyatt will be working and you will not be disappointed by his knowledge and personable demeanor. I bought a cheap fly fishing reel there this morning for $90 and used it right away. It was malfunctioning and I showed it to the manager and the guy who sold it to me. They just wanted to argue and insult my intelligence and didn't want to take the return, even though I offered to buy a much moreexpensive reel They decided it was more important that they be right and that I would be wrong than to actually make more money. I had to put them in a corner take the return. I ended up not buying another thing from them and I would certainly not go back to this shop where I felt like I was insulted. read more

My husband and I stopped by Reagan's on a trip through Bishop. We were looking for something in particular and were not sure whether they would have it. Fortunately they have a huge selection of outdoor gear and we were able to find what we were looking for. One of the two best places to get your fishing supplies... Usually the first stop to get bait and fishing intel from Lone Pine up to Virginia Lakes. Checkout the recent pictures of the local catches. The store owner and staff are extremely helpful and never had a bad experience here in all the times I come up. The store is well stocked along with some additional hard to find items. I've purchased fly indicators and modify them for quick changeout bobbers. Also got my nightcrawler cups here instead of keeping them in the styrofoam cups to eliminate any dropped litter at the streams and lakes. Prices are fair, but keep in mind to support the local businesses instead of big box (online) stores. Quick reminder, Bishop offers fishing year round, the local plants are provided by the chamber of commerce, hence, your local businesses. Lastly, this review is long overdue. I took two spinning reel spools in for new line. They managed to blow both spools apart by putting the line on with to much pressure. I have had line put on these spool many times with no problems. This clown managed to blow up both spools...good job buddy. read more

Stopped here to get some fishing licenses and didn't realize how much stuff they have packed into the store. Great selection of chairs, fishing gear, pretty much whatever you need in the Eastern Sierras. We lu ked out and got some water shoes for 9.99. Store is so full that the aisles can get tight. Definitely not stroller friendly. Employees were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you stop by here! read more

I was in the store to buy 38 shells with current federal i.d. stamp on my CA. drivers license. The owner told me he would need me to make a purchase of $100 or more for him to run a $1 check with the state for me to buy a box of $20 shells of which he wouldn't sell me. I left the store. I always love to support local sporting stores and Reagan's is no exception. I do have a caution for buyers though. I recently, 10/11&13/22, made a number of purchases there and was quite happy with all but 1. It was an impulse buy that caught my eye. A Gerber Prybrid X at $34.99. At the time I thought that was a little expensive for what it was but thought oh well. Once home I went on the computer to see if there were any reviews and to my surprise found out that they priced it 25% more than the manufactures retail price of $28.00. I understand the need to make a living and as I said I like to support local businesses but I feel a 25% markup over the already highest price retail amount is a little excessive. read more

He stared at my plain blue mask, then lingered his gaze at my chest (I'm a well-endowed woman), and also then clocked my LGBT Pride shirt, and said--in a voice that conveyed absolutely everything I needed to know about the kind of guy he is and the kind of establishment I was in--"I don't have what you need." He said it as he last syllable of what I was asking for passed my lips, so I'm certain my gay, female mask-ness is what made him decide to not sell to me. Guess what, people? Unhelpful and rude. We stopped here on our way up to Mammoth and were excited to Help support A small business's but they were anything but supportive to their customers. We were in To get some tire chains and upon walking into the store it took some time for them to greet us. They helped us and we went on our way. Upon trying to put on our chains we noticed we were provided with the wrong size. So we went back to see what we could do about getting the right size we asked if they could exchange the chains for us since the ones provided were too small and they turned us away. Excellent service and local knowledge! This is an all around sporting goods store with hunting, fishing (both gear and fly) as well as all the outdoor gear you need in the Eastern Sierra. They helped me find some inexpensive fishing gloves which I needed due to the frozen conditions outside. When asked about local waters lures and flies - they had many to choose and suggested I try a leech pattern as well as zebra midges. Great service, great help, and remember to buy 12 flies and get one free fly when you pick up your supplies! read more

Wanted to fish the local area and went here to buy some bait. Asked where are the local fishing spots or where does DFG plant at Lower Bishop Creek. No help at all. Very vague and not helpful or willing to provide any suggestions. I thought this was a fishing tackle and local sports shop. I will not return here to support this store. I tend to get this kind of reply from older caucasian in these rural areas as I was made to feel like I don't fit the good O boys profile. IMHO. read more

The staff at Regan's has always impressed me. They are very helpful, and always quick to tell you where to/not to fish. Their store has all the basics for fishing and hunting (both bow and gun). RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!! We are locals here in bishop and my husband has gone in here several times to look at their firearms and every single time they have been too busy to take him in the room or "the gun guy" wasn't there. We support local business and stopped here to see if we can try to get in to take a look at the guns. After waiting a guy came out of the back and said he was eating his lunch and he didn't like our attitude so he refused to show us his merchandise. He then threatened to call 911 on us. As a novice angler, I visited the town of Bishop for the first time . Got recommended to visit REAGAN'S Outfitters store from Bishop's Visitor Center where I met the owner , Reagan himself. I asked him what types of fish was around the area so he gave gave me some info about it. Afterwards, I asked him about "are barbless hooks only aloud in certain parts of the Gorge?" He immediately replied back to me with a cocky attitude and said, "wait, you wanted me to answer your question about....and now you wanted me to tell you about the regulations of no barbless hooks? I wouldn't come back here again or recommend any angler to this place. Bad customer service from the owner himself!! read more

Super friendly guy who is knowledgeable about his products. You can get fishing licenses, get line on your spool, get guns, bows and arrows, knives, tackle, rods, flies, live bait, hats, camo and cookbooks. WOW! Really a great, local, well-stocked store with great selection of firearms and fishing gear. Stopped in just to check out handguns, and was surprised at the volume and good organization of sporting goods. Prices are fair and the advice is free; lots of good advice on fishing and hunting.
