We were on a camping trip and needed some supplies for fishing and some ammo for shooting. Not only did they have good prices, but excellent customer service. Went to other sporting good stores in town (to check out what they had) and had horrible customer service (not even a nod hello). We stopped in Bishop for lunch on our way up north on hwy 395. After we ate I saw this store and decided to look around. This place is loaded with inventory of all kinds. I felt like I had went back in time to true retailing of old. Then I was greeted and that clinched the deal. Although we were only looking we did not feel pressured to "buy or leave". Every time I'm in Bishop, whether I need something or not, I stop in to Reagan's. The hospitality they have here is unfortunately long gone at most places. You need a spot to fish, they'll give you directions. You need advice on Ammo, they'll take care of you. Truly an excellent spot with tons of selection. Bought a rifle which suppose to be special ordered, suppose come after more than a week later Then 30 minutes later we went back told Reagan we don't want to get it. he said the gun is here already, if you want return it now it will be 15% restocking fees how did it magically appeared all of a sudden. where did he downloaded it from. wow that really shock me very disappointed with that service. This is not how it suppose to end. That's quick way to make $ like that. That was not good and or professional business man.... I totally understand if it was really ordered and it arrives after few days then I change my mind. That would make sense. What shock special order arrives in 30 minutes when we were told several days. It was also ordered on weekend too lol. Wow that was not good. Will never come back again. This store has about everything you could want for hunting or fishing. They have a good selection for a small town. I gave them only three stars because they do not support the military with a military discount like most other businesses in town. Before Reagans opened, I used to go to a tackle shop across and down the street from them. The owner (grumpy old guy) there as well as the employees were very arrogant and not very helpful in regard to local fishing conditions, info regarding bait etc. I have been going to Raegans for several years. The owner and employees have always been polite and helpful with directing me to area "hot spots" where the trout are hitting. They are on top of their game regarding which baits are working for the trout. Always a pleasure to stop in on my fishing trips in the Bishop area. read more

Came to Bishop to go fishing with my girls. Stop by this place to get my fishing license. We were greeted nicely until the guy asked me if I needed supplies. When I told him that I had bought everything already and that I had forgotten about the fishing license, he started going off about supporting the local businesses and how he had saved me $600 by selling me the license. How did he figure that he saved me $600 when my whole purpose of visiting this place was to get my fishing license? As a business owner myself, im all about supporting local businesses, just not this one. Very rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. read more
