The last store that I visited at Outlet Collection Winnipeg earlier this month was this Winners. I…read moretend to frequent Winners often and it was the case during my vacation. It was nice to see one at this mall. If you expect this Winners to be an outlet version of the store, it's not the case. It's more a convenient way to access a Winners in an air-conditioned mall with shoppers looking for a deal by default. It is a nice Winners. I focused my attention on housewares and phone accessories. This store has an extremely diverse set of drinkware. If you want blingy glasses with rainbows on them, you can find a set here. If you are looking for huge tumblers to bring water or whatever you'd like to consume everywhere and stay hydrated, there is one for you. I like looking at phone accessories. From car mounts for your phone, to USB C cables, I love checking out what's out there. I am a PopSockets person. It's easier for me to take photos with it and hold my phone in general. I ended up getting a couple of them here. One was an enamel watermelon. It would go well with my watermelon t-shirt that I had just bought and my stuffing myself with watermelon all summer. The other one had smiling flowers on it. The kitchen gadgets were great here. I saw everything from butterfly moulds to garlic presses. There was a Mr Men mug set that was adorable. This store also has a lot of Hello Kitty items, from storage containers, to a chopstick-plate set. I went to pay for my items at the checkout. The woman there was pleasant. I had my TJX Style+ barcode scanned from my phone. I then paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. I thanked the woman and placed my items in my bag. I was done shopping at this mall after at least a couple of hours, so I headed to my rental vehicle and went to fetch dinner. I liked shopping at this Winners. It was clean and I liked my PopSocket purchases at decent prices. (295)

I suppose that it's kind of the norm at most outlet malls. Not all stores will give you heavily slashed prices on everything. I like that it's an indoor mall. You are protected from the elements when the temperature swings thirty degrees in either direction from zero. -30°C? You are safe from having your eyelashes freeze over. 30°C? It was what I had experienced while in the city. This mall was nicely air-conditioned and perfect to hibernate against hot, humid conditions. The mix of stores made me happy. Old Navy. GAP Factory. Winners. Claire's. Kernels - Baskin-Robbins. Skechers. Danier. Starbucks. Urban Treasures. Chatime. Lindt. I was perfectly content shopping at these places. Some are your regular businesses at any mall, such as Chatime and Starbucks. Winners has decent prices already. Old Navy, GAP Factory, and Lindt had deals that you'd expect from an outlet. The deals were fabulous. If you are a visitor, you can get a discount when you shop at various stores by dropping by Guest Services. The problem that I encountered was that they ask for ID. I dropped by to shop with a credit card and me. This woman at the counter would not accept photos of my driver's licence, both front and back, with my mugshot, on my phone. I didn't feel like grabbing my ID from the glove compartment of my rental vehicle and heading back to save maybe a couple of dollars on my great deals. Some stores are separate from the mall, but are still a part of it. Krispy Kreme is an example. I don't mind it because it has a drive-thru. There's also an IHOP, which is nice not doing a trip over the border to get your pancake fix. I spent my last full day in Winnipeg at this mall for a few hours. I enjoyed it. I used the washroom before I left. It was fancy and clean. There was plenty of parking. Each entrance is numbered, which is helpful. I look forward to returning to the city and dropping by this mall again. I'm glad that I can finally say that I've shopped here at long last. (330)

2.5/5 I suppose for…read moreWinnipeg standards, it's a pretty good outlet mall. Maybe this review is influenced by the fact I've been to many other outlet malls that have more variety, but I definitely felt underwhelmed after shopping here. The location itself isn't very ideal, as the two major streets are high traffic, so getting here isn't exactly convenient. The mall bills itself as an outlet mall, but I honestly saw very few outlet prices. There were barely any sales or deals in all the places I went to. Definitely disappointing. The place is huge though, and the mall design is extremely open concept, plus the washrooms are really neat. That's about all the positives I can say unfortunately; Polo Park has better options in my opinion if you're looking for clothing.

After having a lovely dinner at Mr Mike's Steakhouse, I needed to get some drinks and snacks. I did a search and found this Dollar Tree close by. It was perfect. It took me five minutes to drive over here. There was lots of parking. This store is in a plaza with a bunch of box stores. I pulled into an available parking spot and walked into the store. The mustard section stood out. It had so many varieties of mustard. It was impressive. I got a couple of one-litre bottles of Diet Coke. I also got some ramen noodles that you add water into the cup and microwave it. They were all perfect for my hotel room setup. I enjoyed seeing Stove Top stuffing next to Pasta Roni and a box of stroganoff. They were all comfort foods in box form. The summer-themed drinkware section was fun. I saw drinkware in shaped as ice cream cones, palm trees, lemons, and more. The candy section always interests me. It was my first time seeing Jell-O sour candy squares. This store doesn't have self-checkout kiosks. I got a female staffer at the checkout. She was friendly. I paid with a credit card. She asked me if I needed a bag for fifty cents. I declined, wished her a great evening, and carried my items to my vehicle. I had a reusable bag and placed my items in it. The Diet Coke was perfect. The bottles fit nicely in my mini fridge and tasted yummy. The Mr Noodles ramen wasn't as great as the ramen cups that you get at Dollarama. The noodles took longer to cook and the seasoning wasn't as yummy. I'm glad that I visited this store. I'd return for more when I'm in the southern part of the city. (254)

At least this person dropped it. Usually though these, employees will keep pestering you and trying to convince you that you need it. Literally, I don't. There are better ones out there. My mum made the mistake of agreeing to it, and it's so bad. I tend to avoid walmart just because they bug you about their stupid credit card, I stopped going to cashiers because of this, so don't come up to me at the self checkout to ask. If I wanted oen I'd get one. Walmart is so irritating for this. Now to this location in general, l, nice location handy to have right in the mall which I usually end up at either before or after the movie. This location is semi organised and can usually find what I'm looking for. The sad thing is that they don't carry many plus sizes in their clothing, so my sibling can't get anything in her size. Grocery wise, this store isn't any better than any of the other stores. It's all around the same price, not really a good value unless it's on sale, which even then is it, tho?

A lot of our furniture is from there and has lasted years (and we are tough on furniture!). I recently bought a new bed and mattress for my daughter from here to replace her IKEA extend-bed she got when she was very small, it lasted years and is still in good shape, we just wanted to upgrade. The prices were amazing and the delivery fee low. The products are solid and will last several more years, I'm sure. I love the restaurant here, my only complaint being that I don't care for the sauce on the mashed potatoes, but next time will just ask for it without. The lighting and large spaces sometimes give me vertigo, but I'm sensitive to that sort of thing. Not the store's fault. I didn't think IKEA could possibly live up to the hype it was getting before they arrived here, but they almost do!

Cupboards are good, the problem is the so called installation specialists. An appointment was necessary to get advice for cupboards. That first professional advised getting to-the-ceiling cupboards. She had photos of the kitchen. The second professional came to the home to take professional measurements. Both of them missed the fact that the ceiling light fixture would block to-the-ceiling cupboards. Installation specialists came and made the space for the stove half an inch too small, stove doesn't fit. The countertop arrived with a chip in it. My neighbor spent hours on the phone trying to get help. After several calls IKEA agreed to replace the countertop, and that repair people would call to make an appointment. She would have to find her own electrician to move the light or have all cupboards taken out and redone. No repair person called. After waiting several days she spent more hours calling IKEA who then said the case had been closed. All the waiting took over 2 weeks with NO KITCHEN. No water, no sink, no oven, everything ripped out of cupboards. None of the so-called professionals has done their job so far, not from day one. So, not recommended. However, returning to this city on vacation as a sentimental ex-Winnipegger, I hung out at this mall for seven hours. The mall person returned. It's still in me. I hadn't been to this mall since 2016, so it was worth the visit. It's a decent mall. It's a medium-sized one in that there's only one floor. Hudson's Bay (it has a Zellers!), London Drugs, Walmart, and Dollarama are your anchor stores. In 2016, I spent a lot of time and did a lot of damage at London Drugs. On this visit to the mall, I didn't visit any of these stores. I wanted to check out the other stores that I had missed. SilverCity, Hudson's Bay, Purdy's Chocolates, and Indigo were stores that I recognized. They have endured the test of time. I like them a lot. Everything else was new. I could picture the old HMV and Branigan's restaurant when you first enter mall entrance 3 and hit the food court. They are gone. The food court is still excellent. I had a late lunch at Koya Japan and my meal was excellent. I visited a bunch of stores that I had never been to at this mall. Miniso. SoftMoc. Sephora. Claire's. They are all cool stores that I enjoyed visiting and making some purchases. There is a lot of parking at this mall. It may get nuts during Boxing Day or week or month. I have never had any issues parking at this mall. This mall has an Earl's restaurant. I last dined there in 2016 and loved it. There's also Sushi Gozen by London Drugs that I'd like to try someday. I recently met up with a couple of friends here. We caught up over some Timmy's drinks and snacks. It was nice and a memorable, happy experience. It's a decent mall. It has everything that I like and need. (316)

In Winnipeg, it was this location on Pembina Highway, near the University of Manitoba. It's in a plaza that I used to frequent eons ago. It was nice to head back here a few times during my stay. There is plenty of parking in front of this store. I always found a spot steps away from the main entrance. This store carried the light line of Kipling bags. I saw a nice backpack. The downside to this light line is that it doesn't make certain pockets padded for your laptop. I still like my Kipling backpack with padding. It's still lightweight. This store also had Kipling handbags. They were nice, but were too small for my needs. The PopSockets section was great. I ended up getting a ramen one, which I am currently using. I also got a clear MagSafe one, which is cool changing things up. I managed to get a couple of small Squishmallows at great prices here. I got a frog and a beaver. I am looking at them right now. Adorable! Last summer, I got a tongue cleaner at a Winners in Ottawa. This store in Winnipeg had stainless steel ones. They don't compare to the copper ones that I bought in Ottawa for both my dad and me. Copper is great. The plastic ones also do the trick to keep your tongue clean. I find that the stainless steel ones don't do as great of a cleaning job. There's my review on tongue cleaners from Winners. Bonus content. Enjoy! I saw some cute mushroom lamps. It would have been nice to have brought back one, but it wasn't lightweight. The kitchen accessories were cool to look at. I loved everything from training chopsticks, to pineapple-shaped ice buckets. The shoe section was decent. I liked seeing a bunch of size 11 footwear for women. The Crocs with fuzzy lining looked hideous. I bet that they felt great wearing them! Staff at the checkout were super nice and helpful. I never had any issues having my TJX Canada STYLE+ barcode scanned from my phone. I paid with either a debit or credit card. All went well. It was nice shopping here a handful of times. It's a good store. (305)
