Unresponsiveness to maintenance request, financial questions or general concerns was very troubling. The almost 2 years we leased from them was a nightmare. My husband is a veteran and we are both Healthcare workers, we have never experienced such lack of respect, morally questable practices and a general disregard for the pandemic we are in at this time. The last 2 years were extremely stressful, we felt no peace while living in the home that we were basically quarantined in with all of the extenuating amount of repairs, the amount of time it took to get them repaired when we did get in touch with someone was atrocious. A general disregard for people and its scary that Daryl tried to take advantage of us even when we called him on it and makes me sad for those who don't know any better. WARNING!!! Do not rent from this company!!!! Don't respond in a timely manner, give you multiple different answers, misplace information (esp maintenance request), close out maintenance request when never addressed/completed. Missing maintenance requests. No communication whatsoever about anything. Turn around of staff, just highly frustrating. You are told not responsible for certain things but they charge you anyway for it. Automatically enroll you in HVAC filter subscription (and when u leave, you have to leave 3 sets of filters & they still charge you for filters & take it out of your deposit). They would constantly charge us renters insurance when we had it & uploaded it in the portal. When we first moved in, it wasn't freshly painted just spot painted in a different color & holes everywhere. We move out & charge us $850 for painting. WTF!!! So we owe more than our security deposit. I am trying to contest some of the charges. I don't care about the security deposit, but shouldn't be paying mite. The owners didn't want to repair anything and we're left forking the bill? If you see a property for rent from this company, run away. Don't make the same mistake we did. Nothing but headaches. Incompetent and dishonest. I would NOT recommend this company! They were unable to collect back-rent from one of my tenants. Their repairman is expensive and lacks communication skills. Their negligence while the house was unoccupied led to a plumbing leak causing severe water damage to my subfloor; which they claimed no responsibility for. Stay away!! read more

Of course, there is always room for improvement and RPMidlands definitely explores various ways to provide better support. I've watched the company go through several changes over the years and the experience and service they provide has improved a bit every year. As an Active Duty servicemember, I have never received service like this in 12 years. I do not recommend conducting business with Real Property Management Midlands. Please listen carefully before disregarding this message. I am completely disappointed and upset with the service from Daryl Campbell and Denae Pearson specifically. In March 2020, I filed an application for a home. I was approved and sent a deposit over $2,000 Dollars. In May 2020, 30 Days from moving in, I receive a call from Daryl Campbell that the house I paid the deposit for has been rented out. No apology for the error or attempt to fix the issue until he saw that I was upset about the inconvenience. He offered a refund of my deposit as if that were going to change that I do not have a home to move into. My family is distraught as we look for a home within 30 days! Please do not trust that your money is safe with RPM Midlands. They may contact you and inform you that your deposit does not reserve your place. read more

The technology they use is fantastic as an owner and Daryl and team are always accessible. I've been using this company for almost five years now for my rental property in Columbia, sc. I live almost 8 hours away and they have still been extremely easy to work with in managing my property. Manager Daryl gave me great, sensible advice about prepping the house and got me much more rent than the other company thought they could. Worst renting experience I have ever experienced. The place was listed as having air conditioning/heating on the listing. While being shown the place I asked if the place had heating and air and the employee of the listing company said that it did. Once I moved into the place I discovered that the place didn't in fact have air nor heat after being marketed as having both and being told by an employee that it contained both. I lived in the home for 9 months and was never provided heating and air as well as various fair housing violations.
