We started using AA+ in October 2025. Initially, the cleanings went well, but progressively…read moredeclined. Our first issue was timing of cleanings. Multiple times I asked for afternoon cleanings to adjust to my work schedule or my granddaughter's schedule. They struggled to schedule a time that was convenient for us. Many times they would come much earlier or much later than the scheduled time. That makes it very difficult when you have children that you need to take out of the house while it's being cleaned. Cleanings started becoming lackluster. For example, the shower would get sprayed with cleaner but not scrubbed so it actually looked dirtier after it was "cleaned." Most times we had to re-make our bed because they only put the top sheet on the bed but wouldn't tuck it in at the foot of the bed and corners. When we mentioned these things, we got apologies but the habits did not change. In May 2026 we got charged an extra $15 for a "porch clean" that we did not authorize. Not only did we get the extra charge, but when I went upstairs, I discovered that the entire upstairs had not been cleaned at all. They refunded the money. This is when we decided we would give one last chance. Then on the most recent visit July 2026, we came home to our back door unlocked and our fireplace on!!! 2 safety hazards!!! We were so upset. It was 96° outside that day, and the heat of the fireplace was adding to the work of the air conditioning trying to cool the house. But more importantly than that, we would never leave our fireplace on unattended!! This was the last straw for us. We could no longer trust that our home would be safe. We cancelled our service immediately.

I cleaned the dryer filter access and clogged up my vacuum. Dryer was showing a code indicating the vent system was blocked. Two Dirty Chimney, LLC technicians arrived and relatively quickly cleaned the dryer vent from inside and outside. The amount of lint removed was remarkable. She also used a dust mop instead of a vacuum on my hardwood floors before mopping them. This allowed her to get further under things as well as not marr floors. I had a piece of duct work fall off the vent under my house. I tried to duct tape it back together myself but it fell off a few days later so that's when I decided to start looking. Of the various companies I reached out to, I was mostly ignored, one no-show, no-call, got on the schedule with one other company but they had a minimum charge and the appt was a week & a half away. I told that company to put me down, but I was going to try to find someone who could come sooner. An odd Google search pulled up The 843 Handyman and I'm thankful! Jeremiah was extremely responsive, communication was an ease, no minimum charge and was able to come out a few days later. Weather delays things for him a bit but he stayed in touch, and was able to make it a few hours after the intended time. I was home all day and he kept me in the loop. He explained what he was going to do, showed me the work once done, and was professional and personable. As I mentioned, I won't go looking next time; I'll just reach out to Jeremiah and would absolutely recommend to anyone needing handyman services in a timely manner for a fair price. Two thumbs up!
