The rapid repairs tech did that in about a minute. He charged us almost $300. They refused to consider anything other than tearing out a wall to try to fix the key, and told us it would cost almost $800 to make that simple valve repair. I'm pretty sure that did not include the cost of repairing and repainting our wall. The valve is reachable from above, but the technician refused to even consider that idea. He was also extremely disrespectful, including telling me our fire box went up behind the wall. I installed that fire box. I know exactly where it goes. I can say two minor positive things about the team that came, but I won't because I'm afraid it'll be taken out of context, but that's it. My impression of rapid repairs is 100% negative and I would never ever recommend them to anyone.

The water damage ruined one of our kitchen cabinets and we had blowers and air cleaners running in our house for a week. My wife called the owner a couple of times before she got a return call from him. He was very dismissive to my wife and basically claimed no responsibility for their work and would not even come out to look at their work. They did not brace and secure the water line to the shower head and it created a crack in our pipe. They obviously do not warranty their work. I'm sure our insurance company will go after them. If there was a zero rating, I would give that!

He gave a reasonable quote for the work to be done: putting a new mailbox on a post). He agreed to come the NEXT day! He arrived on time! He efficiently and professionally completed the job! He charged very fairly based on his quote! He even listened to me with respect and answered my questions! This might not seem like much, but I have contractors not show up at all, come hours late, bump-up the charge after the work was done, (without a reason), not listen to my expectations or request and do it "their way ", bungle the job, and be generally rude, as they are "the boss." So, it was wonderful to have The Fixit Guy do what I requested the "right way" in a pleasant manner for a fair price. Next time I need a small home repair, guess who I am going to call!
