We purchased a condominium in this development and haven't felt welcome since arriving. The fact that my partner and I are an interracial same sex couple seems to matter. The appearance from there decisions recently show we are treated poorly and frankly discriminated against. Cal reports his recommendations to the board at "Courtyard at Carlisle" board of directors. We were told by Pam the board president that Cal makes his decision and gives his recommendation to the board. Over the past 3 years, 28 homeowners applied for a variance according to official records and my partner and I were the only property owner denied approval for a variance request and it was only for a free standing patio overhang. It could have been removed at anytime because it wasn't a permanent structure contrary to Cal. We were also told by Cal in his email that we were denied because the structure didn't fit the aesthetically of the community while others are allowed to put up party and camping tents, with no problems. We are so disappointed and disheartened by these recent actions.

When you write with maintenance requests they are unprofessional in manner and hostile to doing anything other than the bare minimum. Also never responded to fix a leaking roof.

Electric bills completely too high. Phone calls never returned. Some phone calls not even showing in their system. Picture-hanging holes in the walls when she moved in and she was charged to fill them when she moved out.

It took over a week to get the new one installed after my lease started. I then had to keep my doors unlocked for these guys to bring it and install it, which they kept changing the date and time of, blaming Lowe's or Home Depot (I forget where it came from) so I ultimately could not move in until it was done. Still had to pay that rent though. 2. Was promised access to the basement. There's an outside door to a basement storage area where I intended to store my bicycle and what not. Took them several months to unlock it and bring me a key despite promising I would have access to it and that there was likely a lawn mower down there to mow the lawn with as that is part of my tenant responsibility. No lawn mower down there, surprise surprise. 3. The washer and dryer stopped working. Very grateful to have one in the unit, came with the property, but I put in a maintenance request. It took almost a month for anyone to contact me, and it was to refer me to my lease which stated that it was my problem to deal with. How stupid that I be responsible to fix the owner's washer and dryer. But regardless, it took them almost a month to even follow up about it. 4. I never put in a maintenance request for this but shouldn't property management companies power wash the property and have the interior cleaned up before renting it out? Luckily I saw the potential in this place and cleaned it up myself (which I feel should be compensated in my rent) but there's no way that the exterior had been power washed in the last 5 years; it was disgusting. All in all, love where I live and I was aware of this management company upon signing my lease, but they are exactly as I expected upon moving in, managing it very poorly. It makes me wonder if the homeowner is even aware of how poorly they are doing to manage these properties.

Good luck trying to get in touch with him. I'm now out my entire security deposit. The woman that was assigned to my rental was very unprofessional every time we spoke and never sent anyone to mow the grass. The owner came once over the summer to mow it when he was in town. Most people if they see an apartment should make it a good practice to call to check if the status of the apartment, if its available or not. I called spoke to their rep and was told the apartment was available and to fill out an application. So of course if filled out the application and it came with a 50.00 fee. I immediately called the rep once I was done and was informed I was on a list and that their were 2 people ahead of me. I got angry the apartments true status is not available. The apartment true status is pending viewing and deposit. I do not even know if there is really an apartment for rent because i never even got a chance to see it. THE ONLY TIME you should be spending actual money is after the pending and viewing not just to be on the list.
