I have expended a vast amount of time and effort with no end in sight. They are STILL requesting documents four weeks later (most are duplicates, of course). I also discovered other mortgage companies want their own appraisal so you're going to be out several hundred dollars and multiple weeks to start over with a reputable provider. I have an 800+ credit score, house appraised at $500K (refi for $260K) and never had this difficulty with a mortgage before. I would NEVER recommend them. It was a nightmare being shipped from one representative to another and assigned a "customer advocate". That's a huge joke. There is nothing about this business that is customer oriented. They are no different than any other mortgage broker. Sales ploys and promises that they don't keep with absolutely ZERO customer individualization. Disappointing all around; they suck.

Needless to say I have had the opportunity to talk with my many mortgage loan officers. Many of the officers are just trying to make a quick buck without really listening to what you are trying to do. I made an online inquiry on lendingtree.com and soon had many reputable lenders calling. I was really disappointed with some of the major lenders out there who weren't able to earn my business. Some of the loan officers were simply making outrageous claims I knew they would not be able to deliver. I went through the process with several of them only to have them not be able to deliver on their claims and trying to charge $10,000 in closing cost for a loan. I was to the point of giving up when Wyndham called. I am really glad I listened to Kyle Balder from Wyndham. I have to be honest and say I was not terribly convinced he could get it done for under $6000 in closing cost. Kyle worked hard to earn my business and went the extra mile to get me the best rate possible. I am scheduled to close on Friday and am really grateful for all his hard work. Wyndham Capital has earned a customer for life. I am really happy that I will be able to accomplish my credit goals!!!

They've also refused to send our contractors payments as black mail for rate lock fees the wanted to collect for our house being delivered 8 months late. They lied about sending contractor payments, used aggressive sales tactics like threatening to pull our note (illegal). They even reached out to a contractor we were in a lawsuit with and gave away our financial information!!! Recently they also threatened to foreclose on our property because they were mad about a lien from a contractor THEY APPROVED!!! There were many more violations, but don't take my word for it, look at the cfpb website and you'll see over 450 reports of illegal activity. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS PREDATORY LENDER.
