Urgent care visit Wilmington, Winchester Regional Medical Center…read more On blood thinners so when I get a bloody nose, I need to have my labs checked. Co=worker brought me here, closest facility to work. the patient balance was over $280!!! Questioned why since BCBS says $50 copay for Urgent Care. They didn't answer immediately. I let the balance ride 3 months. No answer. Checked with BCBS and they said they paid according to their DRG codes submitted. I went through description of services, labs and packed tampon inside nose, come back 3 days...no adjustments.Charged for a surgeon??? 200. Charged for facility 50. no surgery, no cauterization performed.

Terrible. Lahey has sent me sneaky bills the last 3 times I used them. So the last time I called…read moreand very specifically and very clearly asked if my co-pay would cover the appointment. They said yes. Now after the appointment they are sending me a bill for $200.00. I called them and told them I called before the appointment and they told me my co-pay would cover it. They have all kinds of bs excuses and now I have to pay these sneaky criminals. I have called and canceled all Lahey appointments and will never do business with them again. How can I? I ask questions and one Lahey person tells me one thing and then later another Lahey person tells me something different. I told them on the phone I would cancel and never do business with them again. They of course could care less. Just as long as these sneaky blood suckers get their money.

One of the most frustrating professions I have ever dealt with. They are terrible at communication…read moreor having any sense of urgency. I needed a letter to travel internationally at the height of COVID and it took me more than six attempts to secure the correct paperwork after sending explicit instructions several times over the Lahey portal and over the phone. They waited until the absolute last minute to complete this request despite my putting it in ahead of time to ensure enough time to be ready to leave the country. Additionally, they do not follow through with prescription or referral requests. I requested an extremely important rX and CVS returned it to them as my insurance didn't cover it. It took them over a week to respond and after seven phone calls to the practice and CVS, I still do not have this prescription. My PCP is also away for the long weekend, so it will likely be another week before I can have it filled. I HIGHLY do not recommend using this practice.

Now it's staffed with rude, unprofessional, incompetent people. From the front office that double book patients, make clerical errors, over charge, fail to make up dates to patient information, to the associates that are curt, argumentative and disrespectful, they don t schedule exams, return calls, fill prescriptions in a timely manner or contact after you leave messages for urgent reasons. To the doctor that spend less then 5 minutes with patients but want you back so many times without a medical reason. This saddens me that people are dollar signs and nothing more.

His staff, very rude, on the edge and more focused on God knows what when there is a patient sitting and waiting (who booked ahead of time, have to take time off from work to be there, made arrangements to get there, just to sit and wait after booking time in advance) , however they seemed very interested in collecting my insurance info (their true job i.e. accounting/billing, not patient care/support, well that is our health care system). I am willing to put up with all this BS if I get a satisfactory response/treatment from the doctors and just very basic normal service (not good or A++ customer care) from the staff, but was very disappointed on all fronts.

Barely seemed interested in visit, short statements & seemed bothered by questions. For an older professional one would think he had some social skills or would try to show interest in care about a patient. Nothing even close. Sorry I wasted my time. Don't waste yours that why we post.
