I've been coming to this barbershop since it opened and Zac cuts my hair now about every 12 days. He takes his time and he is focused, which I really appreciate. That, in turn, results in a very good consistent haircut. I have thick stick straight hair and it is not easy to cut. Most barbers and stylists chop too far in and find themselves lost in the haircut, but not Zac! He uses Reuzel products that work great with my hair and style and I often purchase product there. The shop is fun with an "old timey" barbershop feel and some fun rock playing (not too loudly) in the background...every video game known to man is offered to the side of the cutting area and a cool beverage is offered with your cut. I get stopped on the street and asked often who cuts my hair and I'm always happy to refer them to Zac. But Fern and Jessa are really great too! I don't give FIVE STARS easily but this one is a no brainer. read more

I am happy beyond words. I found the best hair cut in Fort Lauderdale. Heather has been incredibly professional and her cut and shave is the best I have had in South Florida, I have gone to at least 15 shops since I moved here 4 years ago. I no longer have to look, I finally found the best. Guys, I am incredibly picky and Heather not only cuts my hair exactly as I asked, she also provides a shave that may have changed my life. Not Your Father's Barbershop features one of the best barbers that Philadelphia had to offer. Jessa is a special talent and will most likely become your regular barber if given the chance. I followed her at three different shops because of the quality and attentiveness to her craft. She was my barber for three years and I couldn't recommend to you more to stop into Not Your Father's Barbershop and get a proper skin fade from her, which has been my "usual" for the past year and a half. I have a full beard and very thin hair... and I am super picky, but I heard great things about this place, so I decided to give it a chance. The only regret is not have gone to them sooner! I absolutely love my new faded haircut and new beard look. First off, this is an old-school barbershop, that super-pampers you with perks like complimentary bear, water, etc -How cool is that? Any of the barbers there are great; I go to Zac (master barber & owner). This place is awesome, from the vibe to the service. I have been getting my haircut with Zack for about 2 years now, even before he opened his own shop. Now its better than ever, you can drink a beer if you like, play some games while you wait and the vibe is always good. The place looks great, super clean, hip, stylish and the costumer service impeccable. I will continue going to this shop for all my cuts and shaves. Fern! This place is great. It's a cool setting at a good price. All the barbers look great but I always see Fern. She's been cutting my hair for over a year and she has stayed consistent with quality. She always takes her time and cuts my hair perfectly. I've been to many barbers who start strong but once they have your steady business the quality falls off, that is not the case here and that is why Fern is the only person who cuts my hair in South Florida. read more

He asked what I wanted, listened and then showed me a photo example of what I had described which was perfect. He took his time and I felt very pampered. I'm growing may hair out from two very bad haircuts and I feel Zac can help me during the transition. Also, I really like the idea of a $10.00 "clean up" between cuts. This barbershop is badass! Modern and classic at the same time. They serve you beer with your haircuts and they have about 4 gaming consoles that you can play while you wait.
