I had to cancel my appointment due to having a fever, runny nose, cough and sore throat. I was told that I either come in to have my tooth removed or I would be charged $200. I obviously didn't want to be charged a $200 fee so I come in for my appointment which started at 1:15 and I assumed that once the dentist saw the condition I was in he would be understanding and let me reschedule. When I arrived at the office the front desk girl asked me if I had a doctors note to excuse me from making this appointment. I've never heard of such a thing.. A doctors note to excuse me from another doctors appointment? I told the front desk girl I did not have a note but I told her I could get one. She told me "that would help". I had an entire telehealth appointment while waiting for my appointment to start which again was supposed to be at 1:15. By the time my telehealth appointment was over it was 2:00. I went back inside and told the front desk girl I had a doctors note for her. She said I can email it to her but that's not going to excuse the $200 fee and she would need to get the doctors approval to waive the fee. After I sent the excuse note to her I asked how much longer the wait would be and she told me that he is in surgery. I waited another 45 minutes before I asked again how much longer until my appointment would start. She said that the doctor is still in surgery and that she spoke to him and I have 3 options. Either I give her $270 to get my tooth removed, give her $200 to reschedule my appointment or I never come back to this practice again. I was not able to speak to the doctor and the front desk girl would not tell me how much longer I would have to wait before I could be seen for the appointment, I was not allowed to cancel, that started at 1:15. It was clear to me that the reason why I hadn't been seen is because she filled my appointment with a different patient assuming I would just pay the $200 fee. I felt like I was not treated like a human. Zero aloha and complete disregard for my health, purely just a business transaction. I hope this review helps others to avoid this place.

I came in for an X-ray and exam and they were on time to get me in. The hygienist gave me the X-rays and Dr Patel did the follow up. He was very kind, knowledgeable and took time to explain my results. Sad thing was I had cavities. Great thing was they had time to fill them that day!! Unheard of on Kauai. I was in and out in 2 hours w my teeth cavity free. I will be coming back for my cleaning and whitening. Happy to have found them by chance online.
