I obviously didn't want to be charged a $200 fee so I come in for my appointment which started at 1:15 and I assumed that once the dentist saw the condition I was in he would be understanding and let me reschedule. When I arrived at the office the front desk girl asked me if I had a doctors note to excuse me from making this appointment. I've never heard of such a thing.. A doctors note to excuse me from another doctors appointment? I told the front desk girl I did not have a note but I told her I could get one. She told me "that would help". I had an entire telehealth appointment while waiting for my appointment to start which again was supposed to be at 1:15. By the time my telehealth appointment was over it was 2:00. I went back inside and told the front desk girl I had a doctors note for her. She said I can email it to her but that's not going to excuse the $200 fee and she would need to get the doctors approval to waive the fee. After I sent the excuse note to her I asked how much longer the wait would be and she told me that he is in surgery. I waited another 45 minutes before I asked again how much longer until my appointment would start. She said that the doctor is still in surgery and that she spoke to him and I have 3 options. Either I give her $270 to get my tooth removed, give her $200 to reschedule my appointment or I never come back to this practice again. I was not able to speak to the doctor and the front desk girl would not tell me how much longer I would have to wait before I could be seen for the appointment, I was not allowed to cancel, that started at 1:15. It was clear to me that the reason why I hadn't been seen is because she filled my appointment with a different patient assuming I would just pay the $200 fee. I felt like I was not treated like a human. Zero aloha and complete disregard for my health, purely just a business transaction. I hope this review helps others to avoid this place.

Scheduled an appointment for the Lihue office. It was difficult to find, no signs on the outside…read more When we got inside it smelled like old food. The waiting area was small and dirty, stacks of random stuff on the floor and on top the mini fridge. It didn't even feel like a medical office, but like someone's messy house. Then a lady in full PPE came in to throw something away in the "lobby" trash can and whatever it was landed on the floor, but she didn't notice. It was at this point I decided if it didn't feel professional or sanitary in the waiting area, I didn't really want my small child having his first dental examination here. I asked the lady if we could cancel the appt, and she charged us $25. She asked why, and I told her it didn't feel clean. Her response was because they were renting the space. Then the lady in full PPE (yellow robe/mask) came back out and tried to get us to come back with her for the appt (I think she was confused and didn't know we were leaving). I don't know why she was in PPE in the waiting area or if she ever changed it, but it didn't seem normal. Overall it was just a very awkward and uncomfortable situation... I've never cancelled an appointment after showing up and I don't really like to leave negative reviews, but it if helps someone avoid feeling they way I did in the future, then it will be worth it.
