I inquired about their policy on medications for pain being used by clients recovering from alcoholism. They called me back the next day and the person was very nice. However, they don't allow patients with an opioid prescription to be administered their medication while in recovery. I think this is a bad policy. If a person has pain because of a physical condition (in this case necrosis in both hips) and a doctor prescribes medication for it, but that person has alcoholism, why can't they be treated for alcoholism while under a medical professional's care, and have the prescribed medication to alleviate the pain while in recovery? The person in question needs hip replacement but needs to get sober before having the surgery. But no one, including this place, will help them unless they give up their pain medication and suffer physically throughout the recovery period. It doesn't make sense to me. Anyway I don't know anything about this place other than what I've said here. The person who called me was nice, but they won't accept a patient who needs to take prescribed pain medication. I wish they would because the number of facilities that will take Medicare and Medicaid is very small and since they do, I hoped it would work out. read more

I got admitted June 15th 2025 exactly on fathers day , soon as I hit the facility all I could think of how long I'm gonna be here , do I really need the help so as the days goes im engaging with others , attending groups with Allison and her partner. Honestly being there getting the help you need is well deserved cause if it wasn't for rebound I wouldn't know where I'll be til this day , shout-out to rebound for all the help , encouragement words , the long sit down talks thanks for being an listening ear , when no one else would listen . The receptionist is very rude and brushed. I think when working in heath care, especially a behavioral heath facility, you should be more kind. I'm not a doctor, but they might want to look into behavioral heath for themselves cause their personality traits are alarming. I'm sure the doctors are fine, but I hope they look into the receptionist because they are representing face value to this office. read more

Run! For the love of God, RUN! I have scheduled an appointment with a therapist to recover from my stay there. They medicate patients to the point of zombies, then put them in front of the TV for the majority of the day. We watched a minimum of 4 full length movies A DAY. If we weren't watching that it was Family Feud. I went to a "therapy" session focusing on how to make decisions. This was done by playing Would You Rather? As in, "Would you rather have uncontrollable body hair or uncontrollable body odor?" That was our only therapy for that day. I should be grateful. At least we had therapy. Not sure what I should have gleaned from that. The staff had some nice people, but the majority were simply jerks. I sat eating breakfast one morning, with my back not two feet from the staff. I heard a minimum of six comments like"---- (patient) is so obnoxious, I can't stand her." "I wish they would all go to their rooms and stay all day." I finally turned around and confronted them by saying "I don't like the vibe I'm getting from you all." To which the nurse said,"What do you think you are hearing?" That's when I remembered I was in a drug detox program and they could twist things and say I was hearing things. I wrote a complaint but never heard from the person who was supposed to respond to those complaints. Another tech was yelling (a marine in another life), scaring so many of these young ladies - many who had experienced rape and already felt vulnerable - to the point they would go into their rooms and refuse to come out. No worries for the techs - that meant less work for them. It made me physically sick. I filled out a complaint on him as well. Guess who is still waiting to hear from the person handling complaints on this as well? I suspect I was kept longer than medically necessary because I had insurance. I guess I'll never know the real reason. That would mean I would have to see a doctor, something that NEVER happened during my eight days of hell there. I wish I could give you more specifics, but my notebook where I was writing the information suddenly disappeared while I was showering one day. Didn't happen to anyone else. For a full understanding I feel I should tell you I was detoxing from OxyContin I received from a horrible kidney stone that went awry. I was septic for weeks and on pain medication the entire time. I tried to get help as soon as I could start getting off of the medication. The only thing I am grateful for is I am sober and alive. read more

DO NOT let your love one go to this place. they do not communicate with family. They are not equipped to do a mental evaluation. they basically put patient in room and leave there only to bring in food or medicine. they are treated worse than a prisoner. my step brother went voluntarily to be evaluated and have medicine tweaked. He suffers from schizophrenia. They made him worse. Not only did they not give him proper care they didn't give him his current medicine. I called the CEO, Allie numerous times she never called back I'm filing a report with DHEC. I had to threatened to call police for a welfare check in order to get nurse to talk to me. anyone that answers phone says I don't know anything ill have someone call you back and they don't. I went to Rebound for depression after a suicide attempt , there was no counseling it was just for drugs and alcohol. I was sexually assulted by 2 male nurses and a tech this happened june 9th 2024. I was taken forcefully to the mental health unit for the insane , there 3 men took me to a room and held me down and injected me with a tranqulizer . I asked them if they were going to kill me and one of them said No we're just keeping you around for one, two ,or three days ,they laughed at me because I couldn't move and one of them was rubbing his penis on my mouth and said (is this what you want miss Kelly, ) they were staring down at me over the front of the bed I was going in and out of consciousness, after they left , I tried to go get help , I could barely walk to the security guard and he didn't believe me , I saw 2 techs they didn't believe me , then I realized they took me there so no one would believe me. I was afraid that they would lock me up forever because they new I had no family ,finally a nice dr. came and he said that they would release me , before i left I told a secretery what happened and the transfer company driver , they didn't believe me .I asked for the driver to take me to the hospital or police and he refused . If anyone reads this please don't ever send anyone there because they won't come back the same or they won't come back at all. read more

I can't say enough good things about Rebound. I can't single out a particular staff member because the entire staff is so wonderful and crucial in my recovery process. However, for me personally, Big Rob and Mesha were key in my success. This is truly a dual diagnosis program. I total mindset change opportunity. This place is a cattle call. Not enough staff. No real programming. Its just a housing unit. Techs do not do their job. Nursing administration do not know their regs and do not get involved. Expect nurses to take 25 patients alone even though they will quote a different staffing metric. Very unprofessional. Need cms review read more

I participated in there partial hospitalization program (PHP) in 2021. While there were many shortcomings of this facility I felt that the program was so helpful in helping me recover from my mental health crisis. Some staff members at the time could be a little out of touch however overall I felt that they were doing there best to help patients recover. I appreciated the relaxed setting and it felt less sterile than other facilities. Overall, I would recommend the PHP program to individuals struggling with mental health. read more

This work place is horrible... They act as if they care they don't.. I have worked there 4 or 5 year under a cleaning contract... I hear and see alot... They do over medicate patient.. They only deal with them if needed.. It's a money thing... No one give 2 cent about them patient as long as med care pays it ok.. Patient be there from 7 to 10 days they may see therapist 1 or doctor rite before they get discharged... They are very racialists.. With the employees and patient... Most of the black patient never i mean never get good treatment.. They always giving them shots too keep them like zombie..i was let go due too a patient at php cause another patient too o d off of medicine she gave her.. No one check that out they just sweeped it under the rug... Also the lady is in icu on life surport.. I will be inform her family with information i know too be true... That program down there is very messed up... Patient get drugs, alcohol, ect on the grounds whenever they want to... No one ever go and do room cheaks or even go down too make sure... A patient came too me and told me that a head nurse too another patient that i was getting fired... No one took the time too address me about this patient allegation about me.. So i have in form health department, and the labor board on all my allegation against themm.. So one need too to put or do a full investigation on them... This is the worst place i ever work for that surpose too help people.. I will be informing alot of place too come in and help these people.. Cause they have over 60 patient and only 4 workers.. Saved my life. I suffered with addiction since I was 14 yrs old and went to rebound twice. Both times they help me to get better to be my best self. I still have problems with drinking sometimes when I get anxiety. I have anxiety and PTSD and a bunch of other things. I hope people can get the help they need. You just have to reach out for help. This is the worst treatment facility I have been to . I have battled depression and addiction for years and been in and out of detox and other rehab programs . Everything in the brochure and what is told to you by the staff before you check yourself in is a lie. There is not a medical doctor at rebound . One can be reached but only if there is a life threatening emergency. The psychiatrist will cut you cold turkey from all previous psychiatric drugs which can cause horrible withdrawal symptoms ( look up Effexor withdrawal of you don't believe me ). He sees too many patients and has no time to listen or answer questions . Don't expect your mental illness to improve . You will be lucky if it doesn't get worse. Rebound likes to give patients meds that are not intended for the reason they are made. They believe in off label uses for drugs and if you refuse to take the medication - you are considered non compliant and threatened to be kicked out of the program against medical advice without insurance pay. And the talk about being a 12 step program is so far from the truth, I was there 21 days and did not have the opportunity to attend one AA or NA meeting. Rebound also advises against patients stating they are an alcoholic or a drug addict bc that is a label. You are also not allowed to say you suffer from depression. Rebound considers these labels and not serious mental illnesses and fatal diseases. Not a single staff member is in recovery , nor are any of the therapist licensed in addiction . No one has a clue how serious the health of the patients are and we are treated like criminals. One of the clinical directors is a former middle school teacher and is more concerned over whether we use black ink pens versus if we are at risk for relapse. I got in trouble for saying I was powerless over drugs and alcohol . The technician said that meant I was a loser and I was giving up. Anyone to pay money to this program is giving up their sanity and any hope of a safe recovery after discharge . Rebound is worse than a drug and just say no. read more

My son was recently a patient there and his story goes like this, he was very sick, could not eat, paranoid. The first day I had to leave him my heart broke into a thousand pieces. I went to visit the second day and he was still not eating, by this time I'm scared, third day he is beginning to talk met with dietician and she fixed him things he would eat doing better, fourth day he smiled, ate some and held a conversation and the next four days just got better and better, He talked, laughed enjoyed Randal and nurse Clarissa and that's not to say the rest of the staff were not nice those are the names that really stand out. He was so ready to come home, but said if he had to return he knew they would help him. To the date of this review he has continued to make improvements, he got medication and a diagnosis. This place was a true God send for my son. I will add his problem was not addiction so I can't rate that end, but they sure made a difference in his life. He will have to do follow ups and that okay because he is okay. Marsha the person up front that you meet when you first check in, is so helpful and you just would not believe how much that means when you bring a loved one in and meet a person who is kind and courteous. Overall the staff was excellent. The only problem I see is the doctors and therapist do not communicate well with the family and that's. important to treatment after they leave. This does not in any way mean he didn't receive proper medical treatment, I just felt I had to rely a bit much on my son telling me things instead of the doctor or counselor. Please take into consideration if you read my review my son was not court ordered to be there, he ask for help and that makes a difference when you actually won't to be there and when you don't. I was a patient at Rebound Behavioral Health. Nakisha was my therapist. She discharged me from the hospital after I told her I was feeling suicidal, she yelled at me and told me I was manipulating, she discharged me anyway, she set up a discharge plan to go to another therapist, when I went, the therapist said they didn't know I was coming and didn;t see me. I called back to Nakisha and she said for me to try to find someplace else for after care. I told her I needed her help and couldn't do it alone, she gave me some numbers to call for after care. I thought she should had helped me better when I needed her help as a therapist. When I came to the hospital she said it was her job to make sure I had a good discharge plan and she didn't. I could have killed myself and she didnt care. She yelled at me and was very condescending and told me I was lying that I was not going to kill myself. I needed her help. How can I get discharged from the hospital and not have a secure after plan, why am I the patient responsible for my discharge? She knew my discharge plans fell through and did nothing to help me. I am afraid of her, she is loud and mean. I did not deserve the treatment I received from her as a therapist. She did not share my treatment plan with me while I was in care, she just had me sign papers, I was not a part of my team meetings. I was hurt and doing bad and I came to her for help and she made my situation worse. I was fragile and could have ended my life, she could have made the difference but chose not to, she let her personal feelings get in the way of helping me. Close to the worst ever - some of the techs were okay - but they do lie hugely to get you there. I really wanted help, but though I'd been led to believe it was a comprehensive program, I was sent home after a few days with no viable plan for aftercare. But by then I was just desperate to get home. It's true, there is no medical doctor. The default psychiatrist shows up at 5:30 a.m. for thirty seconds - be prepared. Bare minimum of necessities. Since there are no therapeutic activities, apart from a few stretches in the morning, patients are mostly just killing time, which is difficult as there are no books of any description, just a couple of games with pieces missing. Oh, wait, there is a "cornhole" game. This sounds trivial, but felt more important as there was so little else going on. The clients were always starving. I've never seen a place with not even saltines or juice available on the unit- just water. No counselors. Groups, when they happen, are someone reading from a printed sheet (badly). Air conditioner was broken, no shower curtain in room and no attempt to repair these things. My "treatment plan" had nothing to do with my problems; maybe they use the same one for everybody, since there is no actual treatment. What is their recovery philosophy? Don't annoy the staff. read more

It's taken me this long to properly write a review, but I was hospitalized here for 6 days in December of 2015. Without giving out too many personal details, I had been transferred there from the E.R. for self harm and a paranoid breakdown. There is no "care" at this facility. There was no therapy. I did not get out of bed, I missed meals, and I did not shower during my time there. None of the nurses said anything, or tried to help me in any way when I was in this catatonic state. They handed out pills before bed and in the mornings, but this is the extent of the care. Because I could not take care of myself during this time, I fainted at around the 4 day mark. Only then, did they make sure I ate, and boy, did they make sure I ate. They force fed me in the main room, even though I was not struggling. They held my jaw open and I stood choking on about 3 tubes of cherry flavored glucose gel as all the patients turned their heads away to look from the graphic action car chase explosion fiesta movie on the tv screen. To this day, I have no idea what that movie was, but the staff played it nonstop. As a sidenote, I think that it's probably an inappropriate movie to play at a psychiatric hospital, but that's obviously not the main issue here. The staff is sick. I mean this not as an insult, but out of concern. They do not care for the well being of their patients. During my stay there, there was a problem patient that they did absolutely nothing about. This man broke a window with a chair and attacked my roommate. She was okay, but she was sitting in a chair directly by this window, and she's very very lucky she wasn't severely injured. This same man began to strip in the main room, wandered into my room at night and crawled into my roommates bed (which scared the bajesus out of me), tried to kiss me, and who knows what else honestly. Part of me is thankful I spent most of my time sleeping to avoid this kind of thing. I want to close off whatever it is I'm writing with this. It was early morning and it was raining outside. I was in the main room, waiting for breakfast this time. I'm not particularly paying attention to pretty much anything that's going on, until the staff starts laughing really loud. They're talking to this problem patient I mentioned earlier. I start listening to their conversation. The man is severely out of touch with reality and very, very ill. He's talking about how he won 2 silver medals and a bronze in the olympics back when he was younger. The staff explode into laughter, and follow up with a, "How many pounds can you lift?" I remember the look on this old man's face so vividly. He didn't understand. He just kept telling his story. The staff kept laughing and goading him to keep talking. Instead of caring for their patients and getting them the help they need, they use them for amusement like it's some kind of circus. It's sickening. I'm not posting this as a review, I'm posting this so that everyone who's been through this hellhole knows they're not alone. If you've had to stay at this place, if you've had a relative stay at this place, I'm so, so sorry. For everyone locked within this place's walls tonight: I'm so sorry. I'm praying for you. For the staff: Get some help. You're sicker than your patients to abuse defenseless people who depend on you for care. read more

I believe Rebound has the potential to be a great treatment center; however, it is not operating in the patient's best interest. There is no structure and staff are overworked. I work in the helping field and will never recommend this facility to someone who truly needs help. Not sure what magic words I needed to say to stay longer than 2 1/2 days but the doctor apparently felt I was ready to go. It was't my insurance company that cut me short because I have talked with them. This place gave me absolutely no hope. read more

This place was awful!! My boyfriend came here, they told us they were a REHAB facility and they were NOT. They apparently aren't fully established. Who opens a facility and claims they offer services if they don't? Exactly, people who want to SCAM patients who are SUFFERING. Very disorganized, all of the employees seemed CLUELESS to everything, they don't answer or return phone calls, the Dr. doesn't even spend time with patients- just writes random scripts that he thinks might apply to them. My boyfriend spent 2 weeks in detox- most places only allow 5 days but because they knew insurance would pay for it, they kept him until insurance wouldn't cover him anymore. Mind you, he went in there VOLUNTARILY so yes, he could have left at any point in time- however, if you go against AMA, insurance will not cover anything. When discharged, the Social Workers were trying to make him find a recovery, out-patient center when we were CLEARLY told that they would do that for us. Now since he has been discharged, he's left to find a suboxone clinic on his own- which most places don't accept insurance or new patients or are booked for the next few weeks and he is suffering because he is withdrawing again when he was suppose to have an appointment made for the day he was discharged. This facility is nothing but a SCAM. Every employee is seen sitting on their butts on their cell phones ALL day long. I will never recommend this facility to anyone. They may be the only place around that has "detox" but as I've come to find out, inpatient treatment anywhere else does the exact same thing as their detox facility. read more
