Definitely 5 stars! From the first inquiry, Antwoin was quick to respond. I used them to move 1 BR to 1 BR. We also had to make a stop at my storage unit. There were some key issues at my new place and he was flexible and kept good communication. He and his team were quick and polite. They even assembled my bed frame for me. Very appreciative to have found them!

Antwoin requires you to be a bit flexible as to time of arrival, but he's terrific and yes, I would hire him again.

I was generous in giving this 2 stars. I know my experience should not be a reflection of the…read moreentire company because I read many great reviews before feeling confident in choosing them. However, my experience was not so great. For starters, many items such as glass lamps, glass tables, and high dollar framed photo did not even get "wrapped" or "packed". They were just set into the truck and later set into my storage unit. The movers were reminded that items such as a living room rug and framed photo were to be packed, yet they were trying to rush out so quickly that they tried to leave so many items behind. The process was slowed down due to phone usage and standing around/waiting for direction. Not to mention it took THREE movers 6 hours to move a 'mostly packed' 1 bedroom apartment into the moving truck. I had everything ready, sorted out and most packed and it still took 6 hours. Which resulted in having to unload the items the next day. I can only hope that my items were properly taken care of when I wasn't looking because what I did see was not very pleasing. My things definitely took a little beating. No matter if your furniture is high dollar or not, movers should handle YOUR furniture/items with the same care. My bill came to over $2600 but after speaking with the manager, even he realized that took entirely too long for 3 movers and took 2 hours off my bill which brought it to $2100. It was still high for the quality of the move that I received especially it being a mostly packed one bedroom apartment, but sometimes you have to take a loss. Like I said, I do think the company is probably great. I just didn't luck out with the best experience.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with All My Sons Moving - Charleston on July 2…read morewarrants one. Unfortunately, Yelp requires me to select at least one star to submit this review. If it were possible to leave zero stars, that is the rating I would give based on my experience. I paid over $1,000 to move less than a full apartment to a storage unit located just eight miles away. For that price, I expected a professional, transparent, and efficient moving experience. Instead, I experienced unclear pricing, unnecessary delays, questionable staffing decisions, and a level of service that fell well below my expectations. I was quoted for two movers, yet three movers arrived. I questioned this immediately because I did not want to incur additional charges and was assured the third mover would not affect my cost. However, my final bill included unexpected fees that differed significantly from what was quoted and discussed beforehand. To make the move as efficient as possible, everything was organized, labeled, and ready to go. It wasn't even a full apartment move. My boyfriend and I also helped move items to save time, even though customers shouldn't have to assist after paying for professional movers. At one point, one of the movers even offered my boyfriend their dolly to move items himself. Despite our efforts, it still felt as though we were paying for inefficiency. It also became apparent that if an item wasn't specifically listed beforehand, moving it was treated as an inconvenience rather than part of providing quality customer service. The most concerning issue was staffing. The company knew in advance that my apartment was on the third floor, yet they assigned a mover who openly stated he was on work restrictions following an accident and was not supposed to be repeatedly going up and down stairs. Another mover also mentioned having back issues. I genuinely sympathize with anyone recovering from an injury, but knowingly assigning employees with physical limitations to a physically demanding third-floor move raises serious concerns about management's judgment and the level of service customers are paying for. The inefficiency throughout the move was especially frustrating because I was being billed by the hour. There were multiple lengthy breaks where the movers literally disappeared that unnecessarily extended the move. At one point, one of the movers sat on the floor of my apartment for approximately six minutes using his phone instead of actively working. The crew also left my apartment before I did to travel to my storage unit using the same route, yet I still arrived before they did. When all of these delays and breaks are added together, they significantly increased the total time. As a customer paying hourly rates, it left me with the impression that my time--and ultimately my money--was not being respected. Finally, the packing of my storage unit was extremely disappointing. My belongings were placed wherever there was available space with little organization or care, rather than being packed strategically to maximize the unit or better protect my items. It felt rushed, careless, and far below the level of professionalism I expected. For over $1,000 to move less than a full apartment only eight miles, I expected honesty, transparency, efficiency, and care. Instead, I received unclear pricing, unexpected fees, avoidable delays, poor packing, and an overall experience that fell far short of the company's reputation. Based on my experience, 0/10 and I DO NOT recommend All My Sons Moving - Charleston and will NEVER use their services again. Use at your own risk.

Stephen went above and beyond to ensure I had all the resources/manpower I needed for my job. They were all very flexible and courteous. He has done a terrific job training his crews. I needed to move 3 huge storage units (10x 20) within a few days (very time sensitive) that were cluttered/a disaster with extremely heavy and fragile items or boxes. Stephen was also able to locate for me a company (Tidewater Property Preservation and Junk Removal) to take away at the last minute a 2,000 pound safe! The first crew of Austin and Kamren quickly tried to organize the pack/move for efficiency! These young men worked nonstop and effortlessly and even made suggestions to help facilitate the process. I can't thank them enough for their insights!! Our second day, I added Dijon, Spencer, Cam and Bryan. Again, this crew along with Kamren also worked tirelessly (not even stopping for rest/food) from 8:30-6pm. They treated my boxes/items with care as if my things were their own possessions! Bryan was even able to find people to come and get things that weren't able to be sold. This helped us so much! I super valued and really respected Dijon and Spencer's expertise about the timing of my UHaul and where to donate or sell certain items! Thank you both for helping make that last day go smoothly and finish on time! Sava joined us on the third day working just as diligently. This crew even traveled with us to the pod warehouse for unloading/repacking of our items in extremely hot conditions. For my last two days. I requested/asked for these same crews! They had been so amazing the other days for us. :) I appreciated all their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication these men gave to their job and my family over the course of 4 days! My gratitude to making a difficult move/pack process much easier given tight time constraints. The best recommendation I could give them is that I wanted to fly these crews to CA to help me unload my pod! Call Stephen at UniMovers and let his crews Kamren, Austin, Dijon, Spencer, Cam, Bryan and Sava handle your next move/pack/loading/unloading. Staff members prior to the move were very efficient, and easy to work with. Chris was absolutely patient, and very accommodating in scheduling and rescheduling due to changes in the unit I was being relocated too. The day of the move, a Penske truck pulled up with more than enough ample space to move me, it was actually to big. One man jumped out of the passenger side. I asked him if he wanted me to move my car as I was holding two parking spaces, and he said not a single word. He looked me dead on in the eye and did not reply...weird. The driver jumped out, came around and introduced himself followed by another guy, and additional introductions were made. All went well...or so I thought. The guys wrapped everything carefully which made me feel more at ease. They only had large items to relocate since we had already moved lighter items the day before. The guys set up everything moved into the new unit, and the driver (nicer one), even reconnected my washer and dryer. This was not done by them a few years ago. I was advised they could not do it at that time, so I was a happy camper having this service available to me. I noticed after they left that all of my dresser drawers were off track...a small thing considering that was the only thing I had to correct. Anyhow while taking out the dresser drawers, I noticed a metal rod looking thing stuffed inside one of the dressers with clothes. I didn't know what it was for. I thought maybe it was placed by the moving company on accident. Upon further inspection while putting the drawers back on track my daughter in law and I noticed that they broke a part that is bolted into the dresser for the actual drawer to go on track. The metal portion that they broke off entirely from the drawer, we compared to the other drawers, I only know to describe as the track a train would maneuver on, without it....the train would not be on track. We figured a way to put the metal rod that runs along the bottom portion of the drawer back so that we could get the drawer on track. We were able to successfully do so, but because they also broke the portion that is bolted into the dresser, it's wobbly. The only way to break the rod off and portion bolted inside of the actual dresser is to attempt to remove it several times by force..... I didn't make a huge deal because the dresser isn't falling out entirely when opened, but what bothered me was the fact that they KNOWINGLY broke it, stuffed the broken off rod in the drawer and said ABSOLUTELY nothing. I was in each unit during the move and feel that they should have told me or told the company. As I stated my crew that moved me before a few years ago was fanatical, not sure what occurred with this crew, and the fact that my dresser drawer was broken and clearly acknowledged by the rod left in the drawer which came off of the bottom, and not communicated to me was not a professional thing to do. UPDATE: I increased this review by 2 stars because the owner reached out to me personally to apologize and offer reconciliation by having someone to come out to take a look, tighten up the dresser track, along with a refund amount, and a credit towards a future move. I received a feedback email from them, replied and was contacted within ten minutes by one of the company owners. That is excellent service, and this was closed knowing that the company values their customers.

*** DO NOT USE****…read more I hired this moving company to pack two PODS for a cross country move. I wanted to hire a "professional" packing company to maximize space and fit my belongings in the PODS. I had two major downsides with this company. The owner and the packing job. The packing of the pods was very unprofessional. They left approximately 3 FEET of open space at the top of each pod. This allowed items to shift during the move and alot of stuff not to fit. I had to spend two days repacking the PODS to fit my stuff. Towards the end of them packing when they realized 1/4 of my stuff was not going to fit, one of the workers said " this is why I always pack". So essentially I could of saved the money and just packed myself for the unprofessional packing job they did. The major issue is the owner and lies. During the move my $2000 king bed frame was damaged when the workers left it free standing on my driveway. Luckily I was outside to witness when the wind blew it over to crack the wood and knock metal pieces off of it. The worker immediately contacted Dezzy ? The owner and informed him of what happened. Dezzy told me on the phone that it was "an act of nature" and they are not responsible for items that they are not "actively" moving. The guys left it unsecured on the driveway to make space in the pods. I advised Dezzy that it was not even wrapped in a moving blanket. Dezzy agreed to cover the damages once I advised him of that. I heard him tell the worker on speakerphone after that "they need to wrap everything because since it wasn't wrapped he did not have an excuse not to pay" . Anyways his word does not mean much because it has been 4 months and they never paid the insurance claim. They also have not responded to multiple emails about the matter and I am out the money. AVOID and pay alittle more for better service!
