We currently live out of country so it was very important for us to find the right fit for this situation. It can be very scary entrusting your home with people you don't know, but we feel very pleased with the tenants Matt helped us find and where we are at with our rental. From coaching us with prep before hitting the market, to managing the rental process, and even doing a mid-lease follow up to make sure everything was going well, we would totally recommend Matt and would definitely love to continue working with him! Also a big loving shout out to Brel themselves - Mel & Brendan - 2 incredible people!! Thank you for all the love, fun, & guidance over the years, we adore you both and wish you and your team nothing but the best!

We just sold our home through BREL and we could not have been happier!…read more We had some bad experiences in the past with agents when selling our previous homes, so we did a LOT of research to find the right agent to sell this one. After interviewing 4 agents, we went with Lisa Bednarski and BREL and we are so glad we did. Lisa's enthusiasm, positive attitude, and excitement at the challenge was a refreshing change. She was patient with us when we needed reassuring, and got us through all the steps to SOLD. In 3 days after listing! Kiel, the BREL stager did an amazing job making our home look like it was in a magazine! I recommend BREL for anyone buying, or selling. In this day and age, most real estate agents are like dinosaurs, but not BREL, they are showing the rest how it should be done in the digital age, and with all the marketing tools available, not just an MLS listing. Do your research and you will see why so many of BREL's clients are singing their praises... they are just that great. Thank you Lisa Bednarski, this Lisa is grateful we found you!

[Update in response to business reply:] I want to clarify…read morethat I never asked Ben to lie or misrepresent anything (I have text correspondence to prove it). I simply requested discretion when presenting the lease application--something I later confirmed with another licensed real estate agent is entirely standard and ethical in this industry. Ben's reply avoids the core issue, which is that he disclosed private information against my clear instructions and responded with hostility and abusive language when I addressed it. Notably, in his response, he does not deny using the language I described--something that should give any prospective client, especially women, serious pause before deciding to work with him. Now that I've seen how he chooses to handle client concerns, it's clear he was never acting in my best interest. In hindsight, I'm relieved I never purchased a property through him--because the financial and emotional consequences would have been far greater. ------------------------------------------------- [Review update:] I had previously written a positive review for Ben Fenlon based on an experience in 2022, but I now feel obligated to update it after a recent encounter that was deeply unprofessional and unacceptable. When I attempted to lease a unit, Ben disregarded my clear instructions and disclosed private information to the listing agent without my consent--jeopardizing the deal and violating my trust. When I addressed this, he became aggressive and disrespectful. He raised his voice, used vulgar language, and told me that if I was going to "act bitchy," then the lease "wasn't worth his time" because the commission "wasn't high enough." I had asked Ben to follow a common and fully ethical approach, and to exercise discretion when presenting the application. I expected him, as my agent, to handle the process strategically and professionally, without disclosing unnecessary personal information that could weaken my position. Instead, he ignored my instructions, dismissed my concerns, and treated me with outright disrespect when I raised them. His conduct was not only unprofessional, but also at odds with the duty of care, loyalty, and discretion expected of a registered real estate professional under RECO's Code of Ethics. I can no longer recommend Ben's services under any circumstances.

I lived here for three years. It was OK at the beginning but it got worse as time passed. I liked…read moreit was very close from the subway and Mississauga transit. After a while we noticed the maintenance was poor. It was constantly dirty and small cockroaches starting to show up in our apartment once in a while. The last moths were the worse, the landlord had to make a hole on my wall to fix some other tenants plumbing issues and they left the hole there for a week, then they cover it but never painted it back. My apartment was flooded the last month I was there, it was horrible. Finally I gave them the notice in February 2012 that I was moving our, which I did in March 31 and made sure I paid everything. Months later, in December, I got a call from a collection agency. Metcap said I owed them 181.88 dollars including charges for June. 2012. They had no details of why I was being charged and Metcap would not return my phone calls when I called. I decided I would pay so they would not ruin my credit score. The whole experience was horrible. I am glad I moved out, as I am happy living in a beautiful and clean building now.

I've been gone from this building for some time now, but I wanted to warn others of a problem that…read moreprobably still exists (considering the poor management of problems that I had to deal with when I lived there). The building was both roach and bedbug infested. And yes, I mean totally infested. On the day I moved in, roaches came crawling out from everywhere while I was trying to unpack. They were in the closets, the kitchen cabinets, trying to crawl up the legs of my table as I set it up. It was terrible. I informed office management, and they claimed that the problem wasn't there before. In fact, not only were they denying a problem existed, but they were aggressive and rude about it. As if I brought the problem myself. I managed to get them to spray, only to have the same problem keep coming back. And then within a few months, the bedbug problem started. I spoke with neighbors, only to find they had the same problems, with the same poor response from management. Public health came in at one point, and while I'm not sure what they accomplished, I found out that a significant portion of units in the building had these problems. Don't believe me? Check out the bedbug registry. Quite a few mentions about both pests. Save yourself and avoid this place at all costs. It caused so much financial loss, because after trying to fight the problem for so long, I gave up, threw out my belongings, and left. MetCap has shoddy management, and poor rental standards. Even now, living in a new building, I hear from the residents next door (MetCap owned building), that the place is roach infested. Sure they'll do renovations, and re brand the look of the building, but don't depend on them to take care of your unit, or properly manage issues such as pests, water issues, or heating problems.
