My criteria for making this claim are routed from its cleanliness, accessibility, management, size and price. Located just 2 minutes north of Islington station (Islington & Bloor), this 14 floor building stands alone on the East end of Cordova Ave. You can't miss this building really...there is the most interesting statue of a mermaid ridding a horse right in front (picture attached). This may sound like a silly advantage for living here, but when you are downtown and too drunk to slur out "Cordova is one block north of Bloor" you can simply say " Mermaid riding horse" and you magically arrive to your destination. Another great point about the location is because it's close to Bloor you can take the vomit comet to and from the downtown core (even at 4am!) Many of the apartments in the area are severally rundown and have a bit of sketch appeal. This building is clean and all the hallways and elevators have recently been renovated. The suites are large and all feature hardwood floors with tons of storage, new balconies, and Water/Hydro included. My 1000 sq ft apartment was less than $1100 month.

BUT I was pleasantly suprised when I recieved a message from management and not too long after I contacted them as well (I meant to update this review for a little while now) who expressed genuine concern about the issues I presented and was very kind, accommodating and even offered assistance in resolving the issue by including warnings and reminders for tenants to execute caution when traveling through the parking lot. This was, as I said very unexpected but I truly was impressed to find they went above and beyond what I even thought possible and really changed the way I view them and the building itself... With managment as astute and being this customer service oriented I can't help but deduce they would counter the more inconsiderate tenants and provide a pleasant environment for all.

On the last month, they notified me that rent will still be pulled "accidentally" as they didn't cancel it in time, but not to worry, they will send a check out right away. Well, on the date they stated it would be deposited, it wasn't deposited. I waited a few days in good faith then called in. No answer. They wouldn't answer my calls. I had to call with a 3rd party number they didn't know, Mark answered. I said hi, its me ______. What happened? He said oh sorry, it will actually go next week. Well, it was never deposited. They don't answer my calls, or my emails. They just stole a months rent. I have filed with RT and other agencies and I will be suing in small claims court Ontario to get my money back. Don't trust this company.

It said that their voicemail service was not "initiated". Ok, being a service and time-sensitive industry at that, it's really a poor sign if a potential client is unable to reach anyone! So hence my poor review. If I had left a voicemail and someone had called me back, there wouldn't be a need for this review. However, seeing how I was unable to speak to a live agent of the company, left a super bad impression of the company. Needless to say, I cannot refer this company based on being unable to reach anyone!
