I only saw Dr Jackson once for medication management. Multiple changes were made at the same time,…read moreincluding tapering off one medication too aggressively while starting another at a high dose, without clear explanations of safety considerations. The approach felt overly aggressive rather than careful. I experienced significant sedation and had a fall during the night. When I contacted the doctor afterward because I felt worse, I was told that my "body is sensitive," which felt more like an excuse than a thoughtful explanation. I was ultimately advised to slow everything down, which is what I had suggested from the beginning. Psychiatry should not be a one-size-fits-all practice. Clear communication, careful pacing, and individualized care are essential, and that was missing here.

Dear Kinsler Psychology Team,…read more I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the care my son has received recently and to inform you that we will no longer be continuing treatment with your practice. After three months of waiting for a necessary medication adjustment--with no resolution--we are now at a point where my son's health and academic success are being directly impacted. Despite multiple efforts to get an appointment, including taking time off work, we faced repeated issues: incorrect appointment links, disorganized communication, and last-minute administrative hurdles that should have been addressed well in advance. Today's failed appointment, which I prepared for and attended on time, ended with a phone call informing me of an incomplete registration process--something that apparently couldn't be resolved within the week since our last missed appointment. I was also told payment was required before anything could move forward. This has been a frustrating, stressful, and entirely avoidable situation. My primary concern is my son's well-being, and it is clear to me that this level of disorganization does not support the kind of timely, responsive care he deserves. While we will be seeking care elsewhere, I sincerely hope that your practice reflects on this experience and takes meaningful steps to prevent others from going through the same. Families turn to you for support during vulnerable times--please don't let these types of failures continue. I don't need a response to this email, I just hope that someone can resolve the communication gap for the benefit of the existing patients.

I need help and tried desperately to make this work. After my initial appointment I attempted to…read moreschedule numerous followups and had to call multiple times to get an appointment. After finally getting a followup appointment scheduled, I received a voice mail on a Sunday informing me that my Monday appointment was cancelled and that someone would call me to reschedule. Two weeks later, after never receiving a call, I showed up for my subsequent appointment and was informed that my therapist was no longer working at Kinsler. This is NOT how patients should be treated and NOT how a business should be operated.

My child had an episode, I called. They took him. I was later told he was ok just going through…read moresome personal stuff. They however kept him for 3 days which is the minimum allowed. Though they assessed him as not having an issue which would make him need treatment, they kept him. Six weeks later a bill came in the mail $2500. We have insurance. Last December, my daughter bought her brother a pair of Adidas sneakers for Christmas, he was wearing them when he was admitted, they were fairly new shoes as my son doesn't leave home much. I didn't know he couldn't have shoes with laces, (makes sense). When I went to get my son on day #3, I waited for almost an hour because they couldn't find his shoes! He came home wearing some 1970s flip flops, he was given a form to fill out and return. We returned the papers. We have yet to have a response from them. We've called, still haven't found them. The place is like a prison, cameras everywhere, metal detectors, paperwork to fill. How did my son's shoes disappear without a trace? He didn't eat, sleep nor bathe for the 3 days he was there. He said the food looked gross he was afraid to be in the room with someone who was verbal constantly, (he took mini naps in the hallway) didn't want to undress. He was scared! He was being offered medication though they said he was ok. He declined!

This has been going on for over a week looking for my brother's lost property. Don't even get me started on the lack of treatment while he was there. I hope no family has to encounter this mess of a place when they're going through a crisis.
