He isn't just another cog in the wheel of some large facility connected to an orthopedic group or hospital that feeds them a never-ending string of clients so it's not like they have to try hard. They just follow protocol and complete the minimum mandatory amount of sessions that insurance will pay for. He's an independent owner-operator whose genuine desire is to help his clients gain the maximum benefit from his lifetime of knowledge and expertise. Brian is also tech savvy so this helps him to be uber-efficient. I can't recommend him highly enough. If you go any place else you are throwing your money away ...literally.

He happened to be the only perio that my insurance Metlife would cover and he did my dental implant at the Monarch dentistry office in Fayetteville, AR. He is pretty nice and very thorough, but most of my communication was with his nurse Carol who is AWESOME. Very empathetic,very good bedside manner, spends time with you,and very good at giving you lots of information and answering questions. She kept in touch with me via phone and mail. During the actual procedure they were really able to put me at ease. I was getting a tooth implant up front because I had been born without an adult tooth there. Everything was easy -- they placed the IV without any pain at all. In minutes I was floating away to sleepy land and then I woke up and almost everything was done. I did hear some drilling at some point but never felt anything. The procedure was much easier than I expected and I don't have a whole lot of pain at the moment. Time will tell how things go as I heal for the next 6 months. I have another appointment scheduled with them in 1 month just so they can check things out, then I will be handed to my regular dentist to eventually get the abutment and crown. All around, it was a good experience and I shouldn't have been terrified.The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because scheduling is a little tricky and slow just because they only come to this location about once a month. Other than that, I highly recommend!

I had all procedures in his private office in Hot Springs. Scheduling an appointment is very easy. The office is very accommodating. The staff are happy and knowledgable. Dr. Atkinson is a periodontist, but he places an IV better than any phlebotomist I've ever encountered. I have no recollection of the procedure. Recovery was quick (complete in a week), and the office provides close follow up to make sure your pain is controlled and healing is progressing. If you need an implant or any periodontal work, this is the place to go.

My husband and I were to start couples therapy w/ Katherine/Kaye Stokes. Our original appt was…read morerescheduled due to an emergency she was having, which is fine and understandable. We show up the following week and are left waiting 20 min past our scheduled time. Katherine finally comes out, annoyed and stating to someone else in the office that she shouldn't have an appt waiting. She greets us by asking for our names with an attitude. She tells us that our appt was cancelled. When I explain why we're there and that our appt from last week was rescheduled to today she immediately becomes defensive and says she and her daughter were sick. That's fine, but the issue is your office made a mistake and you're speaking to us rudely because of it. She proceeds to tell us we can wait if we want to but she has 20 min left in her session and there's "not anything I can do about my daughter being sick." Which again, isn't the issue. My husband and I decided to leave and not reschedule. If the therapist cant take accountability for her/the office's mistakes and she immediately becomes defensive and rude, I don't think she'd be very insightful helping us navigate the complex issues of marriage and parenthood. Maybe therapy isn't the best fit for her.
