The reason I give the place three stars is because my "masseuse" was absolutely awful. I can't even call what I received from Sheryl a massage. She literally just rubbed oil on my body, rubbed cleaner on my face for the facial, rubbed sugar scrub on my feet for my foot massage. The extremely occasional pressure she'd apply once every five minutes for five seconds (I wish I was exaggerating) hurt more then it felt nice. Left hurting more then when I came in. My moms masseuse (unfortunately I do not remember her name) was absolutely amazing she said, the best massage of her life. With all that being said I'm glad my mom had an amazing experience, but paying $340 plus tax plus tips to have an experience like that... I just don't think it was worth it. Unless I could guarantee I'd get a good masseuse I wouldn't go back, or I'd just go back for the baths.

I am confident that the owner does a great job with her massages, which is evident in previous reviews, also a deciding factor for my selection of this location. However, my experience with the staff member that was available was not a good one at all and felt like a complete waste of time and money. A simple apology would have spoken volumes. But as you can see, she didn't know what to say and doubled down on that by not saying anything else at all. As an additional side note, I traveled into Hot Springs, from a city about 45 minutes away, specifically for this Thai massage.

We were pleased overall…read more But, It was a bit different experience in that the massage therapist are apparently expected to answer the phones while working on clients. This should not happen. Other massage & spa places simply let their voice mail pick up the calls saying they are unable to answer as they are working on a client. They had a receptionist when we were there the 1st time & she answered the phone. This is too good of a place to expect clients and therapists to have their massages interrupted. By boyfriend got Tiffany again & she was excellent. I had Diane who did a good job, but she was not able to tackle some of my tougher areas that would have benefited from stretching & she lacked the reflexology skills I so highly value. I hate to write this but we yelpers need complete honesty from each other, yes? And hopefully the owner will take my well intended feedback to improve their customer's experience. My other feedback for the owner is to have one of their 3 business categories on their YELP page be "massage" rather than specifically "reflexology". I believe it will make it easier for people looking for a massage in Hot Springs to find them. I will still rebook my massages here next time I'm in Hot Springs. Very good experience overall.

On my last two trips to Hot Spings, I saw both Haley and Constance.....also wonderful massages. I myself am a massage therapist in California and I am very particular about the massages I receive. They listen to what you need, use great pressure, range of motion, stretching, hot towels and to my suprise hot stones were used on my last visit there which was very nice. I have only good things to say about the therapists at Spa City Massage. I love that you can book appointments and buy gift certificates online too! I will see you next time I am in town. They had a nice chair to sit in for the consultation and a decent size container with a lid to put my clothes in which was much nicer then piling everything on a chair or counter top. My technician Shannon was very nice and personable. I elected for the serenity package which was a nice change of pace. It's more of a pampering session then a deep massage. I will be back to get a regular massage but I recommend if you need a good relaxing session. She even put me to sleep 3-5 times!
